The staff was super nice and helpful. Facilities were good in general despite having to go through a long walk from the parking lot (that is a bit small) to the hotel building.

The hair dryer was broken and old, it was not safe for use. And the kitchnet did not have many utensils and not even salt/pepper is provided (not common when booking with kitchen facilities). When booking the room I chose the room with mountain view, but the view was obstructed by trees. Definitely choose the sea view, it is worth it.

I’m glad I chose this place as it took me a long time to decide. Got a room with sea view and I enjoyed so much to open my eyes in the morning to a breathtaking view. Loved the fact that the room was cleaned everyday and towels changed. As well as the fact that I could make my own breakfast in room and warm up water to make my tea. The helpful staff always receptive to my requests. Absolutely recommending this place to everyone especially that Caloura seems to be one of the best places to be if you are on vacation. And I confirm.

One night there was some noise and I could hear my neighbor ,noisy people :)) thanks gos they left the next day.

The room was light and spacious, with comfortable bed and kitchen equipped with a pan and two different sizes of pots, sufficient for a simple cooking. The bathroom had a bathtub. The breakfast buffet offered variety of dishes. The price was very good given the equipment of the room. The staff members were very friendly and helpful.

As we visited in low season, the breakfasts took place in probably the darkest area of the hotel. The room service turned on the AC (which was really not necessary that day), which was probably the cause of appearance of two big centipedes in our sleeping area (for us, it is a minor comment, for someone else it might be a bit more disturbing 😃 so we recommend to ask to keep the AC off after checking in)

The price and location are definitely the best from this resort to point out. View to the ocean and the infinity pool (with salted water) are the reasons why I chose this hotel. Cleaning is good and the staff is also great and show simpaty. Definitely would recommend for a family with children. Near the pool, there is also a jacuzzi, which is a big plus. Didn't try the restaurant, and neither other facilities. Parking is easy, and once again, the location itself is perfect if you have a rental car. The room has two aircos, which is offcourse great. The sunset view is also amazing here at the pool. So, for a couple, I would advise this resort also. It has, by the way, another pool just by the sea 200/250 meters from your room, which is also nice, but we didn't use it too much.

Soundproofing is really poor. Unfortunately, you can hear your neibours and they can hear you even if all the doors are shut. The floor in the hall, while we are going to our duplex, could use some refurbishment or replacement because it was giving a strange odour, and it also doesn't look really good/new. Overall, the place is nice and cosy, but it has some years already, I guess. Things like wardrobes and the walls on your terrace. But once again, you get exactly for what you pay.

The beds were comfortable, better than most. Views of the ocean were great from the 2nd floor. Staff was helpful when needing info or directions. Apples in the bowl and water at the front desk for guests were refreshing. Views from the lower pool area were nice.

Found cock roaches in room. No coffee or sugar to use the coffee maker, basically no condiments. No kitchen towels to dry the dishes. After lugging our suitcases up hill ( long walk for seniors)to the front we noticed there was parking near the front. We asked about access and you needed to go through another gate. The exterior could use a bit of clean up, looked tired. The drive down from the main road is nuts.

Nice secluded place perfect for relaxing and using as a hub to travel around the rest of the island. Recommended to hire a car as otherwise you will struggle to enjoy everything. Lovely sushi restaurant on site, as well as a pool. Beach (rocky) is just a 10 min walk but you can get great views of the sunrise/set.

More food options would have been nice. The sushi restaurant is great, but a little expensive but without driving somewhere else there isn't anything else to eat. As long as you this going in, it isn't a problem.

- Location, view, room size, kindness of staff, cleanliness (daily cleaning). - Room came with all basic kitchen utensils to allow you to prepare your own meals (including blender, toaster, electric kettle and Nespresso coffee machine). - We were provided (request at reception) with extra towels for use in hot springs located on the island. - WiFi works great. - If you come by car there is a free parking for guests (with video surveillance, there were always some empty spots). - Restaurant available at the site

Points mentioned below didn't really affected our stay (and are room related) but could be improved (some periodical checkups etc.): - Needs small maintenance on bathroom plumbing fixtures (toilet flush getting stuck, connection of the shower hose leaking, sink basin cap not working properly (blocking water outflow)). - One of the power sockets in bedroom seems to be not working (wasn't possible to plug-in anything, seems there was some obstruction inside of power socket).

Do to my job I stay in many hotels. Has been a while since I stayed in a hotel with such good quality/price relation specially if is for more than 2 people. The duplex apartments are great. Very spacious the extra bed is a queen bed with good mattress not a sofa bed. So for families 2 to 4 people is really comfortable. Full equipped kitchenette if u want to save and do some Meals but u have some of the best restaurants of island nearby and the hotel is good too. Great breakfast. Worthy the 12€. Outside a private terrace with other table and the best feature direct access to the pool and jacuzzi. Take sometime to enjoy a sunset there. . Great service and clean. The location couldn’t be better near beach, 30 min to furnas, 15min to fire lagoon and caldeiras 20 min to the north side of island ribeira grande, 20 min to ponta adelgada. the hotel allows you to use the pool and the facilities after you check out if u have a late flight what is great and both pools have facilities to take a shower after that ☺️. Also the hotel borrows towels for the well known thermal hot springs in the island.

I liked everything. Is not an ultra luxurious resort but is very well Maintained, has a great staff and all the commodities and is very well located. To improve maybe I would say the outside pool could be heated to be used in the winter. We went in May and was great

I loved this stay. We booked a room with a kitchenette and a terrace looking over the pool and the most amazing view I have ever seen. Waking up watching the ocean was just incredible. All the stuff was so welcoming and helpful with every question we had, and they also offer free towels for the spring waters. The restaurant has amazing food. I have tried the risotto with shrimps and another day sushi - both melts in your mouth. This was one of the most relaxing stays I ever had, will definitely come again.

Everything was perfect.

The location is good, we had a sea view and the room was equipped with everything you need for a short stay. The bed was comfy and the room was cleaned every day. Staff was super nice and helpful.

Apparently the hotel is popular with families, kids were using the central hallway as their playing ground and kept screaming and yelling from early morning till late. Bring your own kids along and get everyone a coffee and sugar for best results.
