Beautiful building and very comfy bed. The bathroom was ok but the shower was very powerful and just what I needed after a long day walking. It was nice to stay in a hotel with a lot of character. The staff were very friendly and keen to tell the history of the building
Internet wasn’t working, although I didn’t get a chance to speak to the owner about getting this resolved. Could have been my user error. Although clearly advertised that breakfast want provided I think it would be a good enhancement to the hotels offering to provide a good quality breakfast. The cafe down the road was easy to get to and I had a nice breakfast, but a hotel with this character should offer a breakfast to match in my opinion.

Location was absolutely brilliant. It’s probably the best located hotel in Leura. Minutes to the high street. Minutes to the train station. No parking problems. A lovely old pub, the Hotel Alexandra a 4 minute walk. A 6 minute drive to Katoomba. Leura House is an absolute treasure trove of history of the Leura area. We learnt more this trip than we’ve ever learnt before. The owner/ manager gives you a guided tour of the house and is frightfully well informed of the houses history. And gave us wonderful tips on where to visit. Despite being a historic house our stay was very comfortable. The mattress in our room was super. And we had a wonderful sleep. The balcony in our room looked out over the garden with a very refreshing view. The lack of a restaurant in the hotel was no problem as it was only a few minutes walk to the Polar Bear restaurant in Leura High street where we ate a delicious gourmet pizza. And Leura Cafe where we had breakfast. The lounge downstairs has been extensively renovated and sported a comfortable area. We had brought a bottle of wine( bought inSydney) but we were horrified to discover it tasted awful.
Nothing.😀We’ve always been interested in the history of the area and of Australia’s history so it’s been fascinating building on what we know.

Though a bit overpriced, this house is a little gem! It breaths some impressive local history, is well maintained, has a beautiful garden to enjoy the sun, is conveniently located only a short walk from the town’s neat little center (with a Woolworth) and a short drive from the Blue Mountains’ most popular look-out points. The 1-man staff (Eden) was very welcoming and kind and had an impressive work-ethic, apparently running the entire place by herself!
Bit overpriced for the level of luxury that you get.

Loved the heritage house, its history and large Deluxe Room and Standard Room which we stayed in. Great location near town centre of Leura with off-street parking. Check-in by Eden was friendly and efficient.
We had use of the bar kitchen for using dishes, glasses and cutlery, but the kitchen lacked dishwash liquid and drying cloths, for washing the items after use. No breakfast included in the price, but a basic breakfast would also go a long way to make the experience even better.

A group of friends were walking along the Grand Cliff Top Walk from Wentworth Falls to Leura. We stayed overnight at Leura House. The rooms were large and warm. It is an old charming house with a lovely garden and plenty of common space .The house was once a convent. It is close to places to eat and not far from the train stop. We basically had a huge house to ourselves. We had a taxi carry our bags on to Katoomba while we continued our walk. The town itself was very pretty and a reminder of times gone by.
All good.

The staff were so very welcoming and made sure we were comfortable and had all we needed for our overnight stay. They provided - without our asking - flutes for our sparkling shiraz, napkins and information about the facilities in the area open during the Christmas period. It's an easy walk to Leura village too. The cottage we stayed in was comfortable, excepting the beds were a little hard, but the receptionist mentioned that the whole place was to be significantly upgraded soon and asked for our feedback, to assist them. We were farewelled the next day by the same, lovely receptionist. She couldn't have been nicer, or warmer to us had we been her close family. I very much recommend Leura House for short stays in the Blue Mountains.
Beds a bit hard - that's all.

N/A Breakfast not available. Staff were very helpful, considerate and friendly. I enjoyed the tour of the House and hearing of the history. Suggestions of cafes and restaurants in town were appreciated. Room was clean and I appreciated the upgrade to a larger room. The location is excellent.
As Leura House is old it is a little tired and shabby but that didn't bother me as I loved the history of the place. A minor annoyance was only having shampoo and no conditioner for use in the bathroom.

I loved how spacious the room was; I felt like I was in a 5 star suite. The bed was huge and felt luxurious. I especially loved the interior design and I felt like a Victorian countess. The paintings were beautiful, the view lovely - and that couch was the cherry on top. I was surprised by how clean the place was - not even a speck on the wooden frames or the fireplace - very well maintained heritage house. Great value for price.
I would have appreciated some instructions for the electric mattress. I only realised I hadn't turned it on completely bc the switch was turned off and no one had told me about it. Would have loved if the receptionist gave me a heads up during our winter stay.

Just a beautifully kept historic home. Large rooms with high ceilings, elegant but relaxed communal spaces... Gives the real experience of old-world charm and comfort of the Blue Mountains. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, gave us lots of help when we had car trouble on the way out, made sure we were looked after. Thanks!
There's no bar or restaurant facilities. Not much of an issue with Leura Mall 5 minutes walk away.
