First of all and the most important - excellent communication with hosts: if you wanted them to be present they were there, if not - they were discretely staying aside. This hotel is more than a hotel, you really feel being at home away from home. Super place to chill around - a lounge with chimney, relaxing music, board games, drinks and cake available all day long. Outside terraces with views. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, nice bed linen and towels, super breakfast. Archidona - fantastic spot to stay in a small, cozy town and explore beautiful places around. Definitely will be back to enjoy more of the region and of the Almohalla 51!

There was really nothing that we didn't like. But for people with mobility issues and families with small kids it is important to note that there are many steps within the hotel, and some openings would be difficult to pass with baby equipment.

The hosts were very nice and helpful and made us feel at home. The room was warm and there was also a fire every evening in the main area which was wonderful as we were there in December. There were good restaurants nearby to eat and this was a convenient location to explore the surrounding area. The outside courtyard is very charming and the hotel only has 5-6 rooms which we liked

The room was dark, and there were very steep steps to access the room, Although very well renovated, this is an old house so that was to be expected. The parking is public parking in back of the property and we are not sure if this is always available.

Almohalla 51 is a charming BnB decorated in a rustic style. The owners are very hospitable and went out of their way to make me feel welcome. Breakfast is very good and is taken on a lovely little terrace, which as a real pleasure in the early mornings. I recommend the Gin fizz as a nice afternoon cocktail. This is a very quiet, relaxing location perfect for a nice get away

Nothing really negative to say, the town is very small so there isn’t a massive choice of restaurants but what’s there does good Andalusian food and was an absolute bargain (my favourite was picassos)

The owners were very welcoming. The included breakfasts were top notch. There was also never ending cake 😃. The outdoor terrace with pool and lounge chairs was lovely, as was the cosy evening fire. Our bed was super comfortable and pillows were "just right".

Just know that the property is located in a small quiet town with a limited number of services, stores and places to eat within walking distance. Check opening times of cafes or restaurants in advance. However, if you have a car, you'll be set!

Almohalla 51 provided us with the perfect base while completing our purchase of a house nearby. What is exceptional about the property are Jo and Ken the proprietors who went above and beyond to help us out. I will always remember their kindness and attention. Our twin room provided us with all the comfort we needed. There is no aircon but the room was cool and a large fan was provided. Breakfast was served in a quaint courtyard with fresh fruit juice, coffee, traditional ham/cheese and eggs with wonderfully fresh bread. The yoghurt with homemade granola and fresh fruit was divine. The honesty bar allowed for residents to access beers and wine. Tea/coffee and cake free of charge. Although we were too busy to enjoy it the property has a small pool area ideal for relaxing and sipping wine. Pool towels are provided. There is also a small music room where traditional Spanish cords play as you sit and read or snooze! There is provision for you to unload cases/luggage etc directly outside the property with parking on the road around the back of the property. The property is located in the small quiet town of Archidona.

We had a wonderful room which was comfortable and beautifully decorated. The common areas of the hotel were like a home, comfortable warm and cozy. The best part of our stay were our hosts Ken and Jo. They were incredibly helpful with dinner reservations, places to go, and things to do. Breakfast was wonderful and the paella dinner was incredible. The only problem was we didn’t book more days in our day. Thank you.

Our stay was fantastic- The property, hosts, food and also the other guests. Everything was amazing about our stay. Old style Spanish building. Exceptionally clean , beautiful and comfortable. Jo and Ken are amazing hosts and pulled out all the stops to make our stay comfortable. They arranged all our transfers and offered advice for places to see and visit. Dear Traveller, If your route lead through Archidona and you decide to take a break of your journey to rest and recuperate, you should stop at Almohalla 51. It's a charming, very well organized and functional place with beautiful nooks and crannies. You will find here the convenience and comfort of good boutique hotels and wonderful, caring hosts who do a great job and create a unique atmosphere. We recommend it because it's really worth it. Most especially our hosts, Jo and Ken who were so welcoming and helpful. They gave us great advice for places to eat and visit. Breakfast was fabulous - lots of it and good choices. Home made fig and lemon jams were a treat. We even got to be filmed for a television programme!!!

A Tranquil Oasis improved by Ken and Jo. A superb few days this time to hopefully be repeated in the near future. Good food, fabulous atmosphere, lots of activities available...and an amazing BBQ evening, shared with couples from multiple nationalities. What more could you ask for ..X
