Location and friendliness of staff

If we didn’t know the late checkin code we’d have been locked out when returning after dinner. The door cards also lost connection to the door so we would have been double locked out if we’d stayed out all day. Staff said this occurs often. Wear in carpet and furnishings.

We were on road tour from Sydney and stayed at motels that accepted our dog. I felt a bit hesitant to book a hotel in the middle of CBD for us and the dog. I was so wrong. The hotel was extremely comfortable and welcoming to us with the our dog. The room was spacious, the beds were great. And most importantly, we could walk the city centre easily from our hotel. We will certainly return when we are in Adelaide again.

We were luck to stay over the weekend, so we could leave the car street parked for free until Monday early morning. When I took the dog out in the morning, I had to start paying. During weekdays it would have been expensive. Adelaide looks spacious enough to have some hotel parking available. But this is not a big issue.

My husband and I booked the Adabco while we were in Adelaide for our honeymoon. We arrived early before check-in time and the reception staff were really helpful and offered a space for us to leave our luggages while we explored the city. When it was time for check-in, we were pleasantly surprised to be offered the best room in the hotel which was extremely spacious with a large and comfortable king-sized bed. The amenities provided in the room were great with a kettle and and mini fridge, as well as smart-TV. The towels and linen were changed daily. There was even a common kitchen that guests were able to use which had a microwave, induction top with all necessary pans and utensils required. Will definitely recommend friends and family to choose Adabco should they be visiting Adelaide!

Shower in the toilet was quite small.

Very clean, comfortable, and value for money. Room was spacious with all the basic amenities. Not that we used them, there are communal kitchen and lounge areas. The kitchen has all the mod cons and was very clean when we looked in. Staff curtious and obliging.

A little bit out off the way but if you don't mind a short walk to the CBD, approx. 5min, you'll be OK. Don't let this put you off because staying at this location is very quiet. No traffic or weekend partying noise.

Fantastic experience. The lady who checked me in I wish I could remember her name. She was incredible and very warm and empathetic. She helped me bring my bags up as she could see they were quite heavy. I ended up getting an upgrade to a room with two beds and an earlier check in. Which I appreciated as I was coming from another hotel. I loved that it was an older hotel it had historical vibes and felt so homey. Clean and safe. If I ever need a hotel again I'm coming right back here.

Nothing I felt the service was spot on.

It's a beautiful hotel just 15 minutes walk from CBD. Everything was spotless. The full equipped kitchen for the guests was very special. I never checked in a hotel with a kitchen. The room was large.

Very convenient and affordable hotel. We have stayed here before . Good value for money

The shower was adequate but the shower head/rose needs attention. It falls off the wall easily if moved, and the pressure from the shower head wasn’t very good. Also we, and all the other guests, were woken to the fire alarms in all the rooms and corridors going off at 3:00am. As there is no-one onsite from the hotel after 8:00pm nobody had any idea what to do. As it turned out , it was a false alarm. But we were not given any information as to why the alarm was triggered. Not a very good system, if there really was a fire.

A great location! The CBD is only 15 minutes walk. Additionally there are free bus services available from stops one block distant. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance. The facilities were perfect, everything you need for a short or long stay. A shared guest kitchen is available which is well appointed to stove, microwave, cutlery and crockery. Room was comfortable with plenty of space. Staff were helpful, nothing too much trouble. Will definitely stay here on my future visits to Adelaide.

The vending machine ran out of noodles, but only a minor annoyance.

I stayed in two wonderful rooms that were warm, comfortable, spacious and well-fitted out with pleasant decor. I had to do some online work and the generous desk space was very helpful, as well as there being good and reliable wifi. The reception staff were very friendly, flexible, welcoming and accommodating - especially helping me with my luggage as the lift was being repaired. The hospitality staff were also very helpful and friendly and the rooms are very clean. The rooms are refreshingly quiet as the corridors are carpeted and, unusually for a hotel, there are great kitchen facilities. I would highly recommend the Adabco both for solo stays - a safe and welcoming place for female travellers - or for booking a group for workshops/conferences. This would also be a great place to stay after a long-haul flight. The location is fantastic - easy walking distance to the Central Markets, Botanical Gardens, Parklands and ample cafes in Hutt St. Some appreciated details were quality coffee bags in the rooms, good quality and cruelty-free bathroom products and I especially liked the herb garden on the third floor.

It was a bit tricky getting my luggage downstairs when I was leaving but I'm sure the lift will be fixed soon. The 2nd and 3rd floor balconies were also smoker's areas with cigarette ash on the floors which made it less pleasant for non-smokers. Bathrooms a bit chilly but a minor point.

The room was welcoming, with the entry light and lamps on for my arrival, and very neatly presented. I immediately felt at home and welcome. The refreshments chest was beautifully presented, kettle waiting to be turned on, and the bed nicely presented. The room temperature was perfect and I had an additional heater on the floor so I didn't have to run the reverse cycle, which I appreciated as those do dry my eyes out. The bathroom was clean, neat and tidy, with 2 bath towels, 2 hand towels, and 2 face cloths and a bathmat, and even though that was plenty for me I appreciated that the cleaners came and put fresh ones in the next day. The reception/front desk attendant was as delightful and welcoming as ever, even going the extra lengths to help me try and work out the ticket machine for parking out the front so I wouldn't get a fine. I am so grateful, especially as the weather was awful!

The staff accidentally missed a half drank bottle of water neatly presented on the bedside table when they turned over the room, which I almost missed too until I was looking for a drink.
