Ideally located, very friendly owner, no fuss just given freedom to enjoy your stay. Nice continental breakfast which you're able to enjoy at your leisure. Very clean and comfy bedding and the heater in my bedroom worked very well. It's an interesting heritage building and has some nice quirky details in some of the rooms.
My bathroom was lovely but extra care is needed when the floor is wet as it goes like a skating rink!. Mats are provided but the water splashes everywhere from the shower. I had to use towels to sop it up. Could probably do with a full width shower door maybe?

Beautiful, charming building keeping to its original character. Nice big shower with good water pressure. The room had a luxurious plush feeling about it. We stayed in the Vault room, the original vault door to the en-suite was a fun feature!
We found the room too hot, so providing a fan for the summer would be good. Not the properties fault, but because it’s located on the main road the traffic was very noisy. There front entrance door slammed every time someone used it, so installing a mechanism to make it close gently will make a big difference.

Well located on main road. Comfortable bed. Very friendly helpful owners. Clean facilities. Great shower. Breakfast was help yourself to cereals, toast, etc, along with fresh yoghurt, milk, juice and spreads. Communal kitchen/ dining area and lounge was good for meeting other visitors.
Our room had no outside windows, apart from a very high one for ventilation. This due to the style of the building, and is not able to be changed. Couldn't get TV to work in shared living area. Could have been operator error. Better instructions would be good.

The room was lovely and had a very cool feel to it. Bed was comfy and everything was clean. Check-in and check-out was easily possible. Bathroom within an old safe is funny and added to the experience. The common area provided everything needed to cook or hang out.
Two points are in my opinion missing for a 10 rating. First the safe door for the bathroom could not be closed fully which was not a problem for us but should be fixed while keeping the cool door. Second the included breakfast was subpar. Maybe this was due to the holidays. A better option might be to cooperate with the next door cafe in terms of vouchers.

Great location on the main street and easy to find. Really cool place to stay, the beds are super comfy. They only have 4 rooms and small kitchen area for breakie and self making tea and coffee etc with a nice lounge area for relaxing in. Meet the owner who was super nice and a great chat. Reefton is a great place to stop and see our NZ history, also we stayed to do the Little Biddy Gin distillery which was fun. The gin tasting back in town was fun as well. Really enjoyed our stay and would return next time we are cruising through again.
Our experience was great no issues.

Excellent hosts. Very clean. It was the bed we slept in during our two tour of the South Island. It was like sleeping on a cloud. The bohemian furnishings. Very good continental breakfast, we didn't need lunch. Heating was very good. Central location close to everything.
We kept on tripping up on the tiny step entering the bedroom. Bathroom floor tiles too slippery. I think they belong on the wall not the floor.

Great little B&B. Chontal and Aaron have made a quirky and lovely place to stay out of what appears to have originally been a shop. The bedroom was really comfortable and beautifully clean. The DIY breakfast was a good mix of cereals, toast, fruit, yoghurt etc. Location is right on the main street so easy to pop out for a bite to eat in the evening. Would happily book again.
all good 👍

Kelly was great and very helpful. Room very warm, clean and cosy. Breakfast was in the shared kitchen and absolutely everything we could want for breakfast was supplied. Cereal, muffins, bread, fruit, yoghurt. We only wanted soup for dinner when we arrived, so again kitchen facilities available. Communal lounge available if you wanted to linger over your meal and chat to other guests. A great stay, only downside was the old air raid siren going off at 0545 calling volunteer firemen / ambulance people to the station to attend an emergency. But what a great service a small town provides. Would recommend staying here and if we are back in Reefton we would stay here for sure.

Food and facilities excellent. Lounge area and dining room very comfortable. Location excellent and very friendly hosts. Easy to find, lnstructions to enter and exit accurate and accessible. Would recommend and stay here again.
Too light.. the room we stayed in had light coming in from hallway which was in our faces at night and I couldn’t find the source to turn it off. Maybe a curtain across window from bedroom to hallway would be appropriate.
