I really liked this hotel, friendly staff, great location, and free uber ride to and from MD Anderson. They had a pretty good hot breakfast also.

People were laughing and hollering by the front desk on Wednesday evening, and this continued for hours. About 2 am on Thursday morning someone hollered from one of the rooms for them to be quieter. About 5-10 minutes latter the noise subsided. The bar was even closed that night, so that couldn't be blamed. Not sure what was going on, but the hollering was so loud it woke both of us,it was impossible to sleep over the noise even with the AC fan running in our room. I appreciated some one telling them to be quieter.

Location and free Uber to medical appointments

We have stayed there other times and the service was not the best this time. I need an accessible room and i made the request when I reserved the room. When we got there we were told there were none available. After checking, the clerk said she found one. When we got to the room it wasn’t accessible. I didn’t want to change rooms so we kept it. Day 2 the key card reader went out. They had to open our door. We were told that the reader would not be fixed until Monday. This was Friday.

Room was nice and expected for the price. For example, no fancy writing pad/pen/desk combo but it had what we needed. And when we needed a fan, the front desk let us borrow theirs for as long as we liked. Also, very cute decor.

Most tv channels didn't work but they did send someone to work on it the next day and he tried a few different things to see if it would work. When he figured out when it was the wiring to the room (no ones fault) they offered to move us if we wanted to.

Very clean facility, accommodating, w/an actual bar and a warm, do it yourself Breakfast is available downstairs! VERY CLOSE to our Downtown Destination and Unlimited possibilities for dinner out, shopping, grocery stores all w/in walking distance. Even found a Bath and Body less than 3 miles away ... Super location! Rm was clean and roomy! Cool retro effect w/old timey looking aqua fridge, a Keureg 'type' coffee pot and an antique looking phone - like the old rotary dial phones! Cute! Ohhh, mustn't forget about plugs and USB PLUGS on both sides of the headboards ... as well as conveniently located on walls where you fo not have to move furniture just to get to them!

NO PLACE to put shampoo/soap etc in shower while showering! Absolutely no shelves! Even an out of shower shelf toward back of shower would be helpful! Couldn't even put the toilet lid down as there was No lid!!🤣😲🤣 1 little bar to hang 'a' hand towel ... otherwise absolutely no towel rods at all!! We like to help by conserving on laundry - but that is a difficult task w/no towel racks! Some electrical outlets did not work and the plate to the plug in in the bathroom was not fully secured. I did mention this to the front desk. Many of our USB Connections were NOT CHARGING ...Unless we were supposed to do something to get them to work!

Comfortable, clean & safe. The 2 queen beds were very comfortable. Location: walking distance to NRG. & close to restaurants, groceries, gas, etc & free parking. The shuttle to & from rodeo/carnival/cookoff was greatly appreciated, especially at night. Free breakfast was good with many options. Bar Esperanto was convenient & the staff were very friendly & helpful there & at the front desk. Plenty of USB & electrical outlets

Only a few suggestions: There are no lamps in the room, so it’s pretty dim when the curtains are closed. An end table next to the chair would be nice to place a drink, book, etc. More than 3 hangers would be helpful. We couldn’t tell if the mini fridge would get any colder. The ice machine wasn’t working on the 3rd floor.

Location & easy travel to MDANDERSON for appointments & restaurants within walking distance.

When given room key was told it had recently been renovated but there were a few things were not completed yet. Bathroom had all new fixtures, tub, sink, lights & looked great. There was no nightstand light so you had to use ceiling lights & that switch was by door. Awkward at bedtime to cross the room to turn off. There was a rip in the sofa cushion & the desk had been removed. Curtains had been cleaned but wrinkled making the new carpet & paint shabby. Definitely had vacancies so why use a room that was not completely done?

Front desk "Jessica" is AMAZING! I re booked my second day for the wrong day by accident. Jessica took the initiative to investigate the problem and saved me a room knowing the stress of my situation w/ mom in the Hospital 4 hrs. From my home. Jessica is an Asset to the smooth running of this Hotel and has more than 10yrs. Of experience in this hospitality business. Hotel is clean,nice,breakfast,& Uber to Houston Methodist paid by them. Under 2 miles to this Hospital. Thank you Ylem!

Nothing. Comfy beds, large rooms, with large shower.

Check in was pleasant and organized. Room was clean, nice size. Decor was fun. Fairly close to NRG stadium and the Houston medical area grouping of buildings. High marks for free breakfast. We did not use it, but we understand the hotel offers free Uber service within a certain radius of the hotel, which sounded helpful. There is a nice Kroger supermarket fairly close to the hotel, and a number of different types of restaurants within a short distance. Every thing in our room worked, and we would stay there again.

No real issues.

First of all my mom & I loved the eclectic vibe of this hotel. The sign above our bed was so awesome. The room did smell musty as if someone had smoked in there before but it wasn't too bad. The coffee was not good & the breakfast didn't look appetizing to us at all, but wasn't a deal breaker. Most of the staff was very nice, but I over heard a woman in the kitchen get mad because guest were wanting coffee at 6:15am. She made a comment about guest having coffee in their rooms & that breakfast was served at 6:30. We were there because my mom had appointments at MD Anderson that started at 5:45am do we missed breakfast all together, not to mention that there's only 2 regular coffees in each room & if there's 2 adults staying in 1 room for more than 1 night, then the coffee is gone by the first morning.

The attitude of the said women mentioned above who worked in the kitchen. Also our toilet didn't work the first morning after we woke up. Worked fine the night before when we checked in & before going to bed. It did get fixed & no problems after that.

When I first saw the hotel sign, I was a bit hesitant. But once I was inside, I was quite pleased. This is a very unique hotel with lots of cute decorations. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, which is very nice for a change. The breakfast included eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy! Plus all the other continental fare. What? Oh! And checkout was not until noon! The room was clean and very comfortable. Lots of neat nuances. The only disappointment was that the bar wasn't open... but that's ok. And if you like Mexican food, check out Taqueria Arandas, just 1 mile away. Their Fajitas were awesome.... thick and tender meat... too much to finish it all. I will definitely stay there again.

Was hoping for a little bar atmosphere, but the bar was closed. Nice area to sit and hang out, though.
