Read it if you're not Chinese 👇 Perfection location. It's just right next to the park entrance. You can buy Zhangjiajie Park tickets (valid for 4 days) and go in and out every day. The hostel owner will help you buy the tickets. If you travel to Zhangjiajie or Zhangjiajie West train station there are buses that'll take you to Wulingyuan. They start running at around 7:30. Don't get scammed by expensive taxi drivers. Then it's a short walk to the hostel from the Wulingyuan bus station. You can contact the owner of the hostel beforehand and he'll let you know how to get to the hostel. Download WeChat so that you can communicate easily without using VPN. Also, download Amap (works with WeChat location and doesn't need VPN to run). The hostel owner speaks good English, but Chinese definitely makes things easier here. Hope this helps my fellow travellers from outside of China.

A very good hotel, the location is very good, it only takes 5 minutes to walk to the park entrance, the owner is omnipotent and can do anything for you, he used to be a tour guide for 10 years, he speaks very good English, helped us book tickets for the scenic area, recommended a very good tourist route for us, ralph is so professional, he and the staff are warm and hospitable, recommended delicious restaurants for us, provided us with laundry service, this is a hotel with great value for money, highly recommended to friends in need, I think I will come again.

The hotel is clean and nice, great value for money. Bed was comfortable and the room was good size. Super close to the national park so you can just walk there by foot. The man in the reception is very helpful and will be able to tell you all about hiking trails both in the park as well as Tianmen Mountain. He speaks fantastic English so he will be able to assist you with whatever you need. He will also be able to book you in for entry tickets, just ask at the reception. :)

I liked everything - the only thing is that it is quite far from the airport but didi wasn't that expensive. :)

It is located a 5-minute walk from the entrance to the Park. A 10-minute walk from the bus station. There are many cafes, restaurants, shops nearby. A cozy room with everything you need. The brilliant of hotel is Ralph! He is the best in Wulingyuan and Zhanggjiajie! His English is perfect (which is almost not found anywhere else in today's China). We booked all our trip tickets with discounts, Ralph told us everything in detail, put them on the shelves, and painted all the routes. He helped us solve many other issues. Thank you very much!

Very close to the main entrance to national park, around 7 to 8 minutes walking which make it very convenient. At night you have so many options for dinner as very close they set up a night market and many restaurants around. Ralph was very helpful, arranged for me transportation from airport and the return to railway station, which make it very comfortable. He also gave me a lot information about the park and bought for me the tickets without any extra cost. And he speaks a very good English! Rooms are clean and perfect to visit the park.

Nothing I had a great experience

Absolutely everything! The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, with all kind of amenities provided. Ralph, the host was so incredibly kind - my flight was delayed and ended up arriving a bit late, he stayed up and reassured me he’d wait for me to let me in. He has been super generous and ready to help with any kind of enquiry (and I had lots!). He knows the park exceptionally well, his recommendation helped me get the most out of my stay!

Ralph is very friendly and his English is very good. He is the shopkeeper who speaks the best English when I travel in China. He used to be a tour guide, so he is very familiar with the local scenic spots.He recommended a very reasonable travel route to me, and helped us book the scenic tickets, so that our trip is very convenient,He can help you arrange everything on your trip， the hotel location is very good, walk 6 minutes to the entrance of the park, highly recommend to travel to Zhangjiajie friends

Lovely place, felt comfortable and homely. The host was exceptional in being helpful, kind and welcoming: he helped with all aspects of booking, recommending itineraries and places to eat as well as being extremely good at communicating by phone and WeChat. Pretty good with English as well. The rooms and beds were comfortable and the location was very convenient to the east entrance of Wulingyuan park, 5-minute walk.

The only downside was that one of the non-smoking rooms we had smelled of cigarette smoke, and the other non-smoking room (despite having a "no smoking" sign), had an ashtray in the room. Otherwise, just note that the bathrooms are wet rooms, and because they have no other ventilation other than the little extractor fan, they stay damp for a long time. The nearby road outside the hostel is closed, so taxis often have trouble finding the exact location of the hostel, but can easily drop you a few minutes' walk away. Also, the owner is more than happy to chat to them on the phone and give them phone directions if needed.

The landlord was super helpful regarding the planning for all the activities. He helped me with booking the tickets, itinerary and how to get from a to b. As a non Chinese speaker this was super helpful. He was very friendly and spoke good English. The rooms itself are good. The location is awesome. 5 minutes walking from the entrance of the park.

Very good value for money and in a great location. It was only a 10 minute walk to the entrance of the forest park. The owner was super helpful and booked tickets for us for both the forest park and Tianmen - saving us time when we got there, particularly with Tianmen. Our room was very comfortable and we were given fresh bottles of water each day, a nice touch and much appreciated after a hot day walking in the park.
