I really enjoyed the comfort of the rooms; they accommodated all our travel gear while still feeling cozy and inviting. The location was ideal, making it easy for us to reach the taxi boats, one of the main activities we had planned in Rotterdam. Additionally, one evening while working on some school assignments in the lobby, we were pleasantly surprised with a glass full of nuts, which was a very nice touch.
To be honest, there wasn't much we didn't like. One area that could have been improved was the cleanliness of the bathrooms on the Saturday night of our stay. The nearest bathroom next to the sink was quite dirty, but since it was late, we didn't let it bother us too much and just used the other bathroom. These things can happen. I requested for it to be cleaned that same night by pressing the button. On Sunday morning, by the time we were getting ready in the bathroom again, it was being taken care of.

The pods are amazing! Super comfortable, sound proof. Perfect layout. Enough showers and toilets and always clean. It's the perfect solution for the need of privacy in a hostel budget. The location is perfect! You have a big variety of bars and restaurants and supermarkets as soon as you walk out the door. Very cool area to stay in. I wish every city and every country would have this kind of hub!!!!
The only downside for me was the lack of a real full functioning kitchen. When you stay longer it's really expensive to eat every day outside, and microwave food everyday is not good or healthy. If there was a kitchen it would have made it so much more than it already is.

This is only the 2nd “capsule hotel” I’ve stayed in and I believe this one is the best design and I wish CityHubs existed in many other cities. It’s a perfect option for budget travelers who are over the hostel experience, but don’t necessarily need a regular hotel with private bathroom if they are just staying in Rotterdam for a few days or less. The sound proofing of the units is very well done because I barely heard anyone else was staying next to me. You are literally sleeping above / under another unit and I couldn’t hear anything outside of my Hub. The wrist band / electronic fob system worked well and though the only “extra” thing I used it for was ordering espresso in the common area, I loved that the other self-serve bar / snack / vending machine options were available if needed.
I don’t have any complaints, except I believe that the HVAC system may need to be cleaned (from dust and / or mold) because I developed a cough while staying and had a headache on my last night, which I believe was triggered by the air circulation in my unit. My headache was apparently relieved by taking a shower and after I checked out / left the hotel, my cough gradually subsided after a couple hours of fresh air.

It was great as always. It's nice when the city host recognizes you. With this in mind, many thanks to Sanne and Annebel, who patiently helped us with all our questions and always had a smile on their faces, greeting us and saying goodbye, no matter when and how often we came or went. Also the possibility to store our luggage in the CityHub on the day of departure, after check-out, because we still wanted to relax and shop...that's just really great. I think the manager of the hostel, Tom, should also be mentioned here, who contacted me personally after my little criticism in October last year and resolved any differences. We love Rotterdam and come here several times a year. The City Hub certainly plays a big part in this.
It's difficult to say what you didn't like when you say beforehand: "It was great as always...." .... I'll try anyway. It was certainly just a stupid coincidence that the bathroom and toilet on our floor were "out of order" during our stay. We understand that you also have to renovate from time to time, but it is of course not so nice when you as a guest are personally affected by this and have to go up and down the narrow stairs of the emergency staircase, which also somehow didn't smell pleasant and was only very poorly lit, every time you visit the shower rooms. Perhaps a little more light in the narrow corridor would have been good.

The hotel was conveniently located about 15min walk from the train station and in a central area reachable everywhere by foot. The hubs are clean and comfortable for one person, for two might be too small I think. Each floor has shared bathroom area so I personally never had to queue to use it. Big plus for shampoo / gel provided. The bracelet system for check-in/out, serving as key and to purchase items from vending machines / bar was very handy! Very nice staff
While the hotel is clean some equipement could use a replacement or refreshment - worn off shelves in the hubs, stains on the carpet or on the sofas in the hang out area.

Incredibly "space efficient" rather than "cramped". The common area is great; the (shared) shower facilities are good; the capsules that you sleep in are really cleverly designed, so absolutely fine as long as you don't want to hang out in your room all day. The mattresses were comfy. You can use kettle and fridge in the kitchen area. Also, bizarrely, it was quieter than I experienced at so many posh hotels. It seems people behave with great awareness when they are in a corridor with 10 others nearby, whereas in pricey and nice hotels I have many times been inconvenienced by people partying in the next room or shouting noisy goodnights in the corridor at 2am.

I couldn’t imagine a better location for my stay in Rotterdam than CityHub. The convenience of being in the heart of the city was unparalleled. The staff were absolutely amazing—available 24/7, always incredibly helpful, and genuinely friendly. The shared amenities were a real highlight, with a well-stocked fridge, coffee machine, and other useful facilities in the communal area. The bathrooms were spotless, consistently replenished with soap, shampoo, and body lotion, and fresh towels were always available for use. As for the sleeping hubs, they were incredibly comfortable and offered some fantastic features. Not only could you connect to the speakers to play your own music or enjoy the curated Spotify playlists by CityHosts, which were fantastic, but you could also change the color and intensity of the lights inside the hub, creating the perfect atmosphere for relaxation. The hubs were also well soundproofed, ensuring a peaceful night’s sleep. The only minor downside was the strong air conditioning in the corridors leading to the bathrooms, but this was a small inconvenience compared to the overall experience. My entire stay in Rotterdam was truly memorable, thanks to CityHub Rotterdam.

It was exceptional, beyond our expectation. Check in with a kiosk machine and a wristband as a door key. It is really convenient. The staffs are helpful when we do not know how to use the kiosk machine and explain everything to us really details. Whatever you purchase at the bar, you just have to scan your wristband and they will charge to the room and make the payment during check out. Totally perfect for an introvert person to be honest. The mattress is comfy which is unexpected. The lights in the room could be control with your phone via APP, speaker in the room could be connected via bluetooth. It is consider spacious for a capsule. The common area is nice and there are some boardgames provided. Perfect for a bunch of friends to gather. The bathroom is fresh and smell gooood! They are so thoughtful that provided hand lotion for females. Lotion is so much needed and we forget to bring ours. Location is okay, around 15 mins walk from the Rotterdam Centraal. The area is very happening during the weekends night as most of them are restaurant/ bar. Recommended for sure! Will definitely come back City Hub if I have the chance to travel in Copenhagen.
There's no hand lotion in the male bathroom. Men need them too! :D Nothing I can say more about the bad thing!!!

Loved the concept and the hubs were so comfortable and cozy to be in especially with the light you can adapt with the app and the Bluetooth speakers you can connect to your devices. You have the right amount of space to be comfortable in (and the beds are huge). We had access to ironing, fridge, microwave, lockers, could get drinks from a dispenser, even coffee. They can also get you breakfast from local restaurants they have deals with. It is in Witte de With which is very central and animated but hold and behold, you didn’t hear a thing in your little hub. The vibes of the place are really nice, the staff always available through the app but there also and they’re the loveliest of all :) it’s honestly cozy and the showers were clean which is important in shared spaces. Would clearly recommend!
The only thing is that the showers were a little too cold to shower in for me :)

I have chosen the upstairs bed which allows me to have more space on the floor (I think) I think it is good enough for a person but it will be no space for two people unless you have little baggage (maybe just two bags). The bed is very big and not soft. I can take a good sleep finally in the Europe trip. The location is fine for me although it is a bit far from the bus terminal (~20mins on foot). It located near to the no.21 boat terminal to visit the kinderdijk. There are quite a lot of high rank restaurants near the hostel but I have not tried. The toilet is a bit far away from the room but very clean. The light is with sensitive system. One night the light suddenly turned off and fortunately my shower room was not far from the sensor, I can just open the door and made the light on. I am not sure is it because of slack season, no much visitors at all. As if there is full of visitors, I believe the toilets and shower room maybe inadequate for the whole floor.
The room is smaller than I thought but the 22inch baggage is still completely opened on the ground.
