Room was cozy and nicely furnished with everything you may need. Washing machines and dryers are free for everyone to use, complete with full kitchen.

You have to climb many flights of stairs to get to your room, they do not have a lift within the building. Stayed here during winter and had trouble with getting hot water from the shower, had to wait over 20 minutes for the water to get warm. Water pressure from the shower was also very weak. The ventilation in the kitchen is very bad. During my the stay, someone cooked in the kitchen and the smell had travelled from the basement all the way up to the 3rd floor, and a short trip to the laundry room had made the clothes I was wearing smell of food.

Loooove the location, so conveniently situated, walking distance to most of the tourist places, the place is comfortable with all amenities needed for a great stay, very pleasant by all means. Very clean, convenient mini kitchen in the room with kettle, microwave and coffee machine. Washer, dryer and a big kitchen at the bottom floor .We could not ask for more. Also a great french bakery close by with amazing coffee and breakfast. Definitely recommend this place , we love our stay and will definitely be back . 100% satisfied !!

The dryer was broken so we could not do laundry. Luckily we brought enough clothes for a week.

The room is clean and has just about everything you need and more! We were impressed with the water filter. The location is very good. We arrived after midnight and got in very quickly with the instructions provided in advance. The staff is very polite, helpful and quick to answer questions.

Soundproofing is pretty bad, although I think that's normal for such old buildings. The toilet bowl was wobbling.

I spent six nights at this hotel and found it to be a very pleasant, cozy, and comfortable place to stay. The room I stayed in was clean, spacious, and situated on a high floor with a lovely view of the street. It was an apartment-style room, fully equipped with a refrigerator and a mini kitchen that had everything I needed. During my business trip, I needed to work with documents, and I greatly appreciated the excellent lighting in the room. The hotel is located in a beautiful and quiet central area of the city, conveniently close to restaurants and shops. I would like to express my gratitude to the support staff for their attentive service and quick responses to my requests via phone and messages. I also enjoyed interacting with the hotel manager, Edith, who is exceptionally kind and attentive to guests. I hope this won't be my last visit to this wonderful hotel!

44 Concord is an odd-duck hotel, with lots of AirBnB-type rooms in a single large old-ish building. Like many BnBs it has an ad-hoc put-together feel. However everything worked in my room 502. The bed was soft, bathroom was decent sized and shower was good. There is a sink, microwave, coffee/tea facilities, and dishware for the common kitchen in the basement. The room was small with no sitting chair...had to use the bed. The location could hardly be better for Fenway Park, MFA, Gardner museum, colleges, T subway stations, etc. There is also the bus #1 that runs direct to Harvard Square but be sure to leave time for unbelievable rush hour traffic -- GoogleMaps time estimates can be too low. Lots of interesting little restaurants, including the Coulette French bakery down the block...mmmmmm!

Oh that checkin web app! It was like version 0.1 and really needs a user interface designer's help. It wants to take pictures and scan your face but the tech is not quite there. I figured it out with some trouble, but be sure to start checkin a day or two before your stay so you can seek help if needed. The support folks are out of town (mine was in Texas) but they are very friendly and willing to work with you.

I didn't try the breakfast but knew it was coffee and cold cereal, which I wasn't interested in, just for me I like a hot breakfast

The day worker was fabulous. friendly, helpful etc. The unit was very clean, though small and well kept. There was almost no way to get around the bed and to put my mid sized suitcase. My trip overall was 11 days so no way to go with just a carry-on.

The brown stone is six stories and has no way to move luggage between floors. I was grateful I was only on the third floor. I was very fortunate that coming and going I ran into someone who gave me a hand with one suitcase. If there was any reference to not having any lift service I missed it. But had I known that it is unlikely I would have stayed there. If it is ther as information it should be in bold print.

Housekeeper was so lovely she showed me the facilities I had access to (including breakfast items - bread, eggs & cereal) in the shared kitchen. Liked the passport identity checks for security as it is more set up as an apartment rather than a hotel. Good facilities in the room to sort your own breakfast too in the morning. Really enjoyed the location and the area felt safe.

Bear in mind if you are a solo traveller with a large case (me!) there are no lifts as it is a lovey period property but you could be on the top floor. It was quite hot in the room as there was a heat wave but the air conditioning is quite loud so couldn’t have it on all night.

I had an excellent stay at Renu. The room was not huge, but more than big enough for me. Ample closet space is available to stow away clothes. The bathroom was very clean and everything you needed was there. Airconditioning is there and very handy in the hot Boston summer. There is a sink, kettle, small stove, pots/pans, cutlery, plates in the room for cooking. Downstairs, there is a larger kitchen that is even more well stocked and has free food available, from cereal to eggs, spreads, and even full meals. This was incredibly useful and saved me some expenses. The location is quite convenient, only a 10 minute walk from the Back Bay station where there is both the subway and Amtrak trains. Special shoutout to the housekeeper, who was extremely friendly and helpful! She really made me feel welcome. The administrative steps from the other reviews are not untrue, but I did not find them a huge hassle. I was actually happy that all formalities (payment, passport, ...) were taken care of upfront, so I could just arrive and enter the building without needing to wait to check in. Building and room access is very easy with a keypad, no fears of forgetting a key or card.

Loved the location on a residential street in brownstone. the room was clean and well equipped for our stay. laundry facility was a nice bonus. staff was good at answering phone to assist with questions.

NO street parking available anywhere nearby. We had to circle the area for blocks, and only got a parking place because we ran into a resident 5 blocks away who let us rent hers. If you stay here, definitely pay for one of the four reserved spots offered behind the residence! you will need it. also, lots of stairs, make sure you are ok with stairs.
