The room was clean, comfortable and warm.

When booking, the parking was advertised as free. Upon arrival we were told to download an app to pay for parking (by the hour). I said the parking was advertised as free on booking.com and was told that it had been changed "yesterday" which was way after the day I booked and caused inconvenience as it was part of the reason we chose this hotel. Was very disappointed by this. Why was I not updated on the hotels parking rules changing before arrival if now it required payment? Lack of care on their advertising and management in this area. False advertising and did not receive the service I was told I would be provided upon booking and when pointed out was met by "well you have to pay it". Not good enough.

The breakfast was lovely. Not overdone, not underdone, just right and not too expensive. Room was very economical. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Not too far off the motorway. I thought, since it was quite near the Haribo factory, that it might be noisy, but one drove round the back road and it was very quiet and peaceful with trees all around and enough parking available beside it. I would certainly use this hotel again. Thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay.

Very little not to like. Perhaps some biscuits on the tea/coffee facilities.

Room well lit and a decent size with good phone-charging sockets provided. Heating easy to control . Nice and quiet so I got a good night's sleep. Location of hotel fairly close to the A1 motorway.

Smart TV a bit challenging to operate. Got hit with an unexpected £7.60 overnight parking charge - the reception lady explained that an outside company had just taken over the car park in front of the hotel. However there was no prior notice of this.

The staff were great, very helpful and friendly. Beds were super comfy and the rooms very clean. The location was great- we were able to walk to the nearby restaurant when not eating with family.

Some parts of the building looked a bit shabby but the rooms themselves were spotless and that is the most important I think. It could be noisy at times , but again nothing to be really upset about.

Good sized room and huge TV, beds were very comfortable and breakfast was spot on and cooked to order.

The same problem wherever I go not enough sugar sachets in the tea and coffee tray grrr. A huge dislike is the pass card that shuts off everything when you leave the room!: so you have to reprogram the TV heating etc and no instructions !

The staff were friendly - the beds were really comfortable, so had a really good peaceful nights sleep.

The only issue, was the breakfast. The chef had taken ill, so there was no cooked breakfast. The staff did put out a continental breakfast, but there was not a lot of choice, especially if you were on low carb/ gluten free diet.

It’s all been done out, very modern and stylish the rooms were clean and the decor was lovely! Smart TV aswell which is great as most hotels don’t offer this! In a good location next door to a pub aswell and the prices at the bar in the hotel were decent! Staff very friendly and nice to talk to!

Nothing can’t really fault it had a nice stay!

The room which was spacious, comfortable and quiet. Very good value.

No decaf coffee or fruit teas offered at breakfast. Had to ask a member of staff who brought decaf coffee sachets. Fruit had all gone during breakfast service. Skimmed milk would have been good. One bedside light bulb was missing in the room.

Close to the motorway, hidden in a quiet area, perfect for a break from driving all across the country. Booking.com made a hiccup with my reservation, but Tracy went above and beyond to sort it out for me! 11 out of ten service! Staff are really friendly and helpful, breakfast was delicious, I’ll definitely be back in the future!

The staff were friendly and helpful.i have a gluten and lactose allergy, and they were helpful and had bread and alternatives for me. The staff were lovely and so helpful if you asked for something it was not too much trouble.

The automatic lights in the corridors and the corridors were dark n dingy.
