Breakfast was fantastic. A big choice. The location of the Hotel wonderful. The lady Prudence at the reception very very helpful and professional.

The hotel needs some work to be done. It needs to be refreshed... It looks old especially the rooms facing the small inside garden(which was lovely...)the wood on the outside veranda needs to be replaced and refurbished. The doors not nice, the lamps very old. The size of the room was lovely but the plugs were not working properly and in the bathroom there was a loud noise coming from the air extractor, it was tiring after a few minutes.

Very spacious, Quiet, great position, easy to find and park. Perfect for a stop if on a road trip. Friendly, laid back Staff. Excellent Breakfast.

Hotel as a whole, a little tired but very clean. Quite a bit of character and history!

The staff was absolutely amazing...

When maintenance wanted to enter the room even though I told them I was in the shower. My husband, unfortunately, forgot to double lock it again after checking on the noise in the hallway. The heater didn't work. The wardrobes couldn't close. I used elastic bands to keep it from opening ... but other than that... we had a great time.. thanks a stack

The staff were friendly and attentive - helping us find parking and assisting with bags even though the hotel was full. The shower had great pressure with hot water and lots of space. The bedding and towels were clean - even if a little on the older side of their lifespan. The padel and tennis court looked new and floodlit - and on any other day we would have used them. There are lots of good eating spots within 200m walking distance of the hotel.

The hotel is old and rather tired - coming across like a relic from the 1970's that in it's day would have been special. The windows in our room struggled to close - and I had to go outside and force the one window closed from the outside. (There are no security bars on the windows). The bed was a little on the soft side - and has probably seen better days. There was no bar fridge in the room. The TV reception was poor on a number of channels.

Breakfast was lovely, a great variety of options. Family room was big and comfortable. Pool was well kept, restaurant was quiet and staff were friendly and helpful. Bar, even without a blender the staff managed to make delicious cocktails. The historical pictures were awesome we spent alot longer going anywhere because we were admiring the pictures.

The en-suite bathroom was a little outdated shower in a bath, the light in the bedroom was very dim. The communal bathrooms were outdated but still functioning well. The chess board could do with a revamp and to revive it's old wooden pieces would be awesome.

The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful, the food was really tasty with a wide variety to choose from, the views are stunning, and the classic feel is really out of this world. Everything was neat and tidy even if it was an antique or not. They have a gift shop, a spa, an enormous pool and a bunch more things to do on-site.

If I have to nitpick, I would mention that the TV channel selection is a bit limited, the floors were the tiniest bit dusty when we arrived in our room, and the water pressure wasn't very high but that's if I really try to find things that could be improved upon.

The breakfast was great, however, the coffee dispensed from the machine was not great - this can be improved upon. In general, the hotel was very comfortable and I enjoyed my stay.

In this day and age where one uses multiple electronic devices with 2-point plugs - there are not sufficient plugs available in the rooms and in the lounge area, for when one would like to meet, work or browse the internet while keeping one's laptop or phone on charge while doing so.

Loved the friendliest staff, the rooms were clean, a little dated, but the bed was comfortable, the linen was white and clean and the towels were white fluffy and clean, loved the amenities, especially the bar and the buffet breakfast. Had a wonderful experience, and will definitely stay there again.

The furniture could do with an update, dressing table, although clean, had stains on it. The TV only had a few channels to choose from, but otherwise very comfortable.

Excellent facilities and very friendly staff. Price a little too high when compared to other hotels that I have stayed in over the last week. Price the same as b&b at Dias hotel Mosselbay . I would rate Dias hotel 10 overall the same as I.would rate Arniston hotel, but Arniston hotel R300 cheaper per night. Also stayed in Holiday in in the city centre in Cape Town which was R100 per night more than Wilderness and your hotel 1 point higher than Holiday in.

I would like to compliment and thank the manager, Original, for being such a gracious and kind host with fantastic people skills. He truly makes all guests feel welcome, special, and valued. Furthermore I received superb service from Awie, the porter, who went far beyond and above his expected duties in order to make my stay a first-rate experience. I also wish to thank Tammy and all the ladies at reception for their warm heartedness, and for the professional an efficient demeanour in which they manage guests and the reception desk. The breakfast is an absolute highlight and compares well to meals served internationally at hotels that I have visited from Europe, to Istanbul, Kuala Lumpur, Russia, Taiwan, and the Seychelles. Debbie made me feel especially welcome during the breakfast buffet. Thank you to every single individual involved in room service and the cleaning of facilities. This was an unforgettable experience. I will most certainly book my next stay at The Wilderness Hotel without any doubt.
