Great location - easy walking distance to some fine dining place - the “Pierhead Tavern” & the “Drift Inn” both outstanding 👌 although there were others we didn’t try but looked equally good.. Car parking safe & a few metres from the lodges ✅ The lodges are compact but offer most of what you could need ✅ Good powerful shower ✅

🤔 The mattress not the best for me, but I guess that’s always subjective on an individual preference.. There is Tea / coffee facilities in the room, but one thing that would be beneficial would be a mini room fridge, just to put in a a couple drinks and you milk & maybe a yogurt for the morning - there is a communal kitchen/fridge in main house 🏠& a relax area a little like a hostel set up if you want to cook etc.. I personally didn’t use .. a micro fridge in the rooms would be ideal. The front door didn’t seem to secure although on a Yale lock, but ultimately I had no issues - & it wouldn’t deter me from staying/booking again ✅

This was a lovely little hotel to spend a weekend on Arran! My room was lovely and clean with a beautiful view of Holy Isle, and a nice-sized bathroom with a warm shower. I didn’t meet any staff during my visit, as my key was left out for me, but I imagine I could have contacted someone if I needed. I didn’t use the kitchen for cooking but it was a lovely clean room and looked easy to use.

The bike rack at the back wasn’t covered by anything to protect bicycles from rain, and it was the style of rack where you can only lock your front or back wheel, rather than the entire frame, which would be much more secure. Breakfast would have been a nice addition to the stay, and would have made it a bit better value for money.

Value for money great facilities. The shared kitchen was a massive bonus and it was essential to have the dry room. really good stay

no toilet in the main building near the kitchen and lounge, we had to go up to our sleep hut/ room to use the loo and as we checked out of the sleep hut at ten then went to make lunch it was really inconvenient. I looked on the floor plan of the building and toilets are shown in the downstairs of the building yet all the doors to them were closed off. This was the only issue we had with our stay and surely can be overcome easily enough?

My single room, although small, had everything I needed and turned out to feel just the right size for my needs. Bathroom was nice Sea view: stunning Bed: comfy and positioned so the view was visible from it. Mirrors, plug sockets and lamp all in good positions Very clean and comfortable overall. Great, modern kitchen facilities I found it a calm peaceful place to stay Location is great too. Easy to get to/from Brodick by bus, beach is right at the bottom of driveway.

The shower was very weak. In fairness almost every accommodation I've stayed at has a similar problem too. Quite a steep driveway to be aware of but it didn't cause me issues

I has the most awesome stay at the Lodge. It is in the most peaceful, picturesque location of Arran. I watched the most beautiful sunrises and full moon over the Holy Isle with just the sound of sea birds. The Lodge is a lovely old building with everything you need. Comfort, cleanliness, peace and quiet, lovely staff, cooking facilities where you can make friends with other residents, beautiful garden and only 5/10 mins walk from a few restaurants. It's really good value for money too. Will definitely stay here again.

Nothing I didn't like.

The location is fabulous. The views are out of this world . 8-10 min walk into Lamlash village and shops ,restaurants, pubs, etc . Lamlash Lodge is lovely with great kitchen facilities and a comfortable lounge. The gardens are perfect to enjoy the stunning views. Staff were friendly and super helpful . The owner is very charming and kind ,even when I misplaced/lost my key and had to disturb her late in the evening . She kindly opened up the lodge and gave me another key without it being a problem . Excellent hosting and very much appreciated 👏

The rooms are clean, functional , bit dated, and ours had a slightly musty smell, but for all the time we were in there, it didn't detract from our stay . The shower is brilliant ...... like a power shower. Again, great views from the huts .

The room was huge. We opted for the luxury double so we could enjoy the view. It was worth it. Bathroom and shower room. Comfy bed, seated area by the window. Shared kitchen was clean and in use every time we went in. Has everything you need. We always take our own bottle opener/corkscrew as we’ve been caught out so always recommend that. You can cook a full meal and sit at the dining area if not full. Fridges are spacious and there’s a system to sticker your items. No complaints. Lots of room to enjoy the grounds and parking was good. Quiet and restful spot. Would stay again.

For the difference in price for the Luxury Double a small fridge would have been really helpful. Kitchen closes at 10pm and we were out on walks and touring so felt rushed to get back for that. 10 seems a little early especially as day light get longer. There were a lot of big dead flies on our window sill when we arrived which suggested the room had been unoccupied for some time but other than that everything was spotless. The kettle had an awful smell every-time it boiled. I wish I’d said something at the time because I love my cuppas and it did spoil that simple luxury.

We were in a deluxe double, lovely and spacious, though if you were a tall man it might feel a bit tight as we were in the attic space the ceilings were lowers than other rooms. The window was fabulous with two little chairs to sit and relax looking at the fantastic view. I also really appreciated the addition of peppermint tea in the tea caddy, nice to have at the end of the day.

This is really the only thing I can think of we had a great time, the bed was cosy and comfortable but a rather soft, it was fine as myself and friend prefer soft but if I was with my partner he would have found it uncomfortable.

Stunning Lamlash location with views over to Holy Isle. Clean and simple with very friendly staff.

Only one thing because I’m sensitive to cigarette smoke. Smoking area immediately outside my sleeping hut. No problem the first couple of days. But then a smoker arrived and even closing my windows did not prevent smoke and smell entering my hut. I recommend requesting a hut well away from the designated smoking area, if you dislike smoking.

Nice location, staff on-site were friendly and helpful. In this 'self-catering' environment other guests were friendly and respectful so no noise at the sleep-huts, and kitchen and common areas were respected and kept clean and tidy. Although basic accommodation, the kitchen was well equipped.

Although the walk from the village (10-15 minutes) was OK there is a steep hill leading up to the lodge which can be a challenge when carrying luggage.... Room was small and basic but adequate for a short stay. The beds and pillows were not comfortable for me.
