I was able to book the room just right for my family, convinience stores are very near specially the familymart. Location wise, its about 300-400m walk to Okachimachi Station not too far or the Ueno Center. There is another station yushima nearer but we used it less. Kids loved the bathroom, first time to enjoy japanese size bathtub and it was surprisingly nice. Staff are nice, check in was fast, added 3500 yen for checking out late 1pm. There is airpurifier in the room, air conditioning is temp controlled. There are a lot of outlets for charging in the room about 6 outlets!

The room needs to upgrade all refrigerators with freezer, we only got a chiller. Im 6ft tall. Anything above 5’6 or cant be seen above are dusty. The standard for cleanliness must improve.

The staff was exceptionally nice and it was great to have a coin laundry machine, as well as a vending machine in the basement. You can see the room is old, but it's very neat and clean. We were provided with all the necessary sanitary products and even more than necessary. The restroom was modern and well working. Very convenient location regarding public transportation, including train connection with the airport (10 minute walk) and 2 metro stations (2 minutes to Yushima, 5 minutes to Ueno Hirokoji). If you want to have some fun time, there's a lot of karaoke around and it's just a short walk from Akihabara.

The booking details stated the size of the room, but we were still surprised by how small it turned out to be. Once we put our luggage inside we struggled to move around. Maybe it would be sufficient for people who are on short business stays, but because we purchased a lot of souvenirs, it was a big inconvenience.

We liked the location as it is near local train stations and Ueno district. The train to/from the airport goes to Ueno. It is also near food areas and convenience stores. There is a Family Mart 2min walk away. It was walking distance to Akihabara.

The futon setup takes a little getting used to. But the space it offers makes up for the minor discomfort. The room (Rm 125) we stayed in also had draft coming in from the windows, likely needing additional insulation. And because it is winter, it can be felt in the room.

I like that our room was big. The bathroom was also huge and it has complete amenities. We are only 3, but I think the room can fit 3 more people.

Since it was our first time in Japan and coming from a tropical country, an 8°C temperature is already chilling. We expected that the room has a heater but we don't know how to operate it. We thought that they have a centralized system so we did not dare to ask. We were not able to sleep properly on our first night because of the cold room. I hope next time they will guide their guests on how to adjust the room's temperature.

Location is very good. The hotel is near several railway stations. Don Quijote Ueno is just 3 minutes away by foot. Unexpectedly, we found that Yushima Shrine is also in the neighborhood, and the grand festival of this shrine was held just right when we stayed here. We luckily had a chance to attend the lively festival. What a great experience!

The bed is too small for 2 grown men.

Hotel provided everything that we could've needed in a room. The location was perfect for our group. Overall, had a good experience.

Only one coin laundry/dryer so if other people are using it within the hotel or your group, it will take a while for everyone to finish. Restrooms had a weird odor where we had to ventilate it the whole time.

Close proximity to Ueno makes it perfect for Family stay. Just 5 -7 minute walk to nearest metro and Close to Lawson/Seven Eleven and Family Mart. Ueno park and all it’s related attractions close by. Staff was very cordial - They even filled my Luggage forwarding form in Japanese. Loved that gesture.

It’s a perfect property to be honest for a 3 star.

Room was clean and bed was good. Guys from reception were helpful and did their best to help. At the end they changed our room to another one (there was some ventilation noise).

There are maybe 7-8 stairs to get from the street to the hotel. With suitcases it turns to some little workout. Maybe guys from reception could offer their help?

The room was smaller but clean, (except under the bed which were plenty of dust). The bathroom was kept clean. The hotel is walking distance to Ueno Park and the train stations ( Skyliner and JR Station ). The staffs are friendly and helfpful.

I took a look under the bed in our room, there were plenty of dust and tissue papers. as I look to the dust under the bed, I think it was more than a month that the housekeeping did not clean it.

The room is quite big and comfortable. The location is good, walkable, close to JR and Tokyo metro.

I have to carry my luggage and walk up a few stairs in front of the hotel.
