First time visiting Tokyo and my second international flight with a baby. I knew that choosing the right hotel is important especially traveling with a baby. The room was very spacious and had a washer/dryer. The place is recently renovated and everything felt modern. It is the perfect location since it is close to two stations. There is a grocery just a few minutes away. My baby enjoyed walking around Ueno park and Zoo. (which is just a few minutes away from the hotel). Yushima neighborhood is quiet and I enjoyed the peaceful walk back to the hotel after a long busy day at Shibuya/Shinjuku. If you're flying back to Narita, the skyliner is just one stop away from Ueno station (super convenient.) Outstanding customer service at this location and they all speak English. I lost my tripod (it fell in the subway tracks) and the person at the front desk was not only kind enough to call the train station but went there to pick it up! I will choose this hotel for future stays. 5/5.

Wish there was more natural light coming into the room.

Location was a fairly quiet neighbourhood, very close to a small train station and a small convenience store. Walking distance to bigger stations and more bustling areas. Room was very clean, with 4 comfortable beds. Although small, it was furnished with quality equipment and had everything we needed.

Really not much to dislike - in fact, could hardly have been any better. The motion activated hall light was initially set on a timer to shut off after 5 minutes, which meant it lit up the room every time someone went to the bathroom in the night. There wasn't a manual switch to turn it off, but the very friendly and helpful staff came up to set the timer to 1min instead.

The rooms are spacious though we did rent a family unit which consisted of 2 rooms with an adjoining door. The location was great. Walkable to most tourist locations and the shopping areas. Close to a metro station and to other train lines. For us, the location was great.

There is no daily room cleaning. That isn’t an issue if it one’s stay is short, however, if longer at least every second or third day it would be great. You can’t be a (boutique) hotel if there are no services like regular cleaning. The it’s just a flat / apartment rental. The second room we had, had practically zero sunlight. It was due to the building next door, but that room remained dark. It’s okay as one is generally out for the day, but if you wanted to relax for the day, it would have been nice to have some natural light. I suggest checking and confirming with the place about floor you will be stay in on and window locations etc.

Great location, quiet but steps away from multiple subway/JR lines, konbini, grocery stores, basically anything you could need. Considering the in-room kitchen and washer-dryer, the value is hard to beat. The trade-off is basically small rooms and no housekeeping (you sweep the floors, wash the sheets, take out the trash, etc.), which we were fine with. Front desk staff were universally friendly, helpful, and great with English, and having someone to chat with over melon soda and plum wine at their "happy hour" every Friday was a treat.

The smaller/cheaper rooms with "frosted windows" have the window facing an adjacent building only a few meters away, and get very little sunlight except in the middle of the day, which sucks if you're trying to recover from a large time change. The photos of the rooms only show them with lots of sunlight pouring in, which is not representative (they don't even show the window itself or what it looks like when open). We also had some slight issues with the shower using too little hot water to keep the water heater on, resulting in it cutting out briefly. This is probably less of an issue in the colder months.

This hotel was immaculate, rooms were a good size, the beds were comfortable and it was in a great location. Close to two train stations on different lines. Close to good restaurants. Even better, they offered late check out, with payment based on a per extra hour which was very reasonable and great for us as we had a late night flight and could come back and freshen up before our flight. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Tokyo.

nothing.

Fast check-in process, the young people at the front desk are professional and committed to their work. The apartment was relatively little, but well equipped and with a careful utilization of the available space. The washing machine was not difficult to use and worked out great. Beds were very comfortable. In general, we enjoyed to stay in Ueno and we have been happy chosing this apartment, that is also at a reasonable walking distance from the Ueno Park, Akihabara and the lively area around Okachimachi.

There’s not a proper wardrobe, but just a frame with hangers in a corner. Also warm water at the bathroom was coming with some interruptions, perhaps this can be improved. Compared to the space available, the apartment is pricey.

Everything was amazing, especially the staff. We stayed in one apartment and our (responsible and experienced traveling) teenagers stayed in the other. Beds were great, everything we needed to cook was available. Staff gave great restaurant and travel advice. Air conditioning was great. Clothes dryer actually dried our clothes fully.

The room was so well designed. Loved the Japanese toilet and shower. Great having temperature control. Clear written instructions are provided for the appliances and house info. There were 2 long couches so we could open our suitcases onto one and still have a couch. Kitchen was well set up as you can see in the photos. Comfortable beds with 2 types of pillow ( feather soft and firm) Couldn’t hear the fridge at all. It may be a peltier. There is a washing machine but they also provided a hanging rack with multiple hangers and a mini metal clothes line with pegs you can hang on the shower rail. Close to Yushima station. Quiet area. Helpful staff at reception 24hrs who speak English.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Toward the end of our 3-week stay, we started noticing a musty smell from the AC unit one night. We let the staff know and they immediately arranged for it to be cleaned the next day. The location was very good for our needs (close to Tokyo University, Ueno Park and the Skyliner station, and multiple subway stations). Convenient to good restaurants and grocery stores. The wi-fi was strong enough for Zoom meetings. The washing machine worked very well, though there wasn't much space to dry clothes. We used the kitchenette every day, it is tiny but very well-stocked (we especially appreciated the toaster oven to make breakfast). I would be happy to stay here again.

Beds are quite firm relative to what Westerners are used to (but still slept well). Even though we paid more for a bigger room that supposedly sleeps 4, I think having more than the 2 of us in there would have felt crowded. Maybe a couple with a small child would work.

Clean , Cosy and comfortable room size for 2 adults and a 3 year old. Well equipped kitchenette. Family mart just down the road. Few Metro lines walkable distance. Ginza line had elevator access so we used that mostly , easier with baby stroller. We arrived from Narita via skyliner to Ueno and took a cab to hotel (cost 500yen). Front desk staff were really friendly!! Met a fellow Malaysian at the counter and she was lovely to talk to! Quiet area but there are eateries around and it’s convenient to get to the town areas via metro. I’d book this place again if I’m going back to Japan.

The walls(wallpaper maybe) were kinda rough. Need to be careful.
