Great breakfast and cocktail hour with courteous helpful staff. Great to see so many families with young children (is that a weekend special? Very smart.) Also, in a turbulent time, good to see so much diversity in tne guests, everyone polite and getting along. Also — on a pouring rainy day — convenient to the train to DC. Parking also a big plus.

One criticism. In the evening, a young family with three kids attempted to eat outside food in the atrium. Staff made them leave, and l think, humiliated the parents. That’s small minded. And other families were eating pizza and McDonalds. Dinners out are expensive with kids and this was unwelcoming. Please rethink it. There’s a Mexican place my wife and l like and one thing l always admire about it is that they’re really flexible with kids. Let them bring pizza or whatever for a fussy three-year-old who won’t eat enchiladas.

Every single thing. From the staff, to the early check in , to the late check out, to the proximity to the train station and FREE trolley, to the amazing free breakfast, to the amazing complimentary drinks during happy hour, to the size of the rooms, the comfort of the beds, the free toiletries…. We stay in a lot of hotels. This one tops them all. If we return to Alexandria, we will definitely stay here again.

Nothing. My husband is terrified of heights. So if you have a great fear of heights, just ask to be on floor 3 or lower. They are extremely accommodating at this hotel. I can’t imagine it being an issue.

Traveling by train, this hotel is across the street from train station. Also, several restaurants within walking distance g distance - and there is a free trolley pick up across the street to go to restaurant row. Evening reception and made to order breakfast. Indoor pool.

A little pricey for the market, but Embassy always is a little higher. The evening reception (two free drinks is per person each night) and made to order breakfast helps make up for extra cost.

The breakfast food was good & hot but while sitting in the eating area lobby two mice ran across the floor.

Upon our team arrival 12/7/23 @11pm as we were checking into the hotel we were inform that the water would be off (no running water, no toilet flushing) til 5:00 am. Outdated electrical outlets, sheets on the bed had spots on them. I will not be staying at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Alexandria Old Town in the future.

We liked the breakfast and the happy hour food. We enjoyed sitting in the atrium and talking with other family members who came for a family reunion. We love the location. We took the metro into Washington DC.

When we first arrived, the gentleman at the desk could not find our reservations. After I showed him an email, he was able to find the reservation. We booked through a third party. It was a minor problem.

Great food in the hotel's atrium lounge/restaurant. Very good free breakfast, and had a great burger for dinner. We stayed in a 1-bedroom suite, which was very nice and spotlessly clean. The hotel is popular with families. so a bit of noise from kids outside, but our room was perfectly quiet inside. We drove, but the location is right next to a metro station. Also, we rode the free trolley (picks you up at the metro stop) and takes you to the Old Town Alexandria waterfront. From there, we took the water taxi over the Potomac to National Harbor, where we rode the giant Ferris Wheel. Fun!

The underground parking garage (right next door to the hotel) is complicated. We parked on the first level, and then couldn't get out that entrance when our stay was over. The gate would not open when we used our room key, and there was no help on the help box. It took 15 minutes of trial and error before we discovered that most hotel guests park on the second level, and you then have to exit from there. I wish they had valet service for car parking, or at least car retrieval. But at least next time we will avoid this hassle by parking on the second level.

The primary reason for staying at your facility is the location, its walking distance to Old Town and well as the Metro station. Second would be the complimentary breakfast/happy hour. Your staff at the front desk have always been outstanding and attentive.

Hire bartenders that are more courteous and know how to make a drink. I'm referring to simple common drinks, not complicated ones. The room itself had some minor issues. The refrigerator couldn't be adjusted and food and drink kept freezing. It would have been nice to have a bathroom fan to help with the steaming issue from a shower, which would help control the mildew odor. Evident with the damage over the vanity area ceiling. The curtains in both windows within the bedroom were torn from wear-n-tear.

Breakfast is an important value for travelers. Location across from Metro is perfect.

Room wasn't what I was expecting. In a corner, split rooms by walls and hallway in the room. Cost of my 6 night stay I expected a better room. I asked for a change and they couldn't do it. Location across from the Metro made up for it.

We love Embassy Suites for their nice, clean and comfortable accommodations. And of course we love the evening reception of free drinks and snacks and the made to order breakfast in the morning. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was great with the metro across from the hotel and restaraunts nearby and was a convenient 20 minutes from sightseeing in DC. There is also a decent little gym and indoor pool.

The A/C wasn't working to its full potential, however we called maintenance and they promptly showed up, made an adjustment to it (it was pulling in outside air) and the issue was quickly resolved. The indoor pool was very small and the room not to well ventilated, but none the less if you want to swim there is a pool.

Upon arrival every one of the staff was welcoming and helpful! From giving directions on the Marta to offering us an umbrella while we were out, they were magnificent! The bartender was generous and the food (both dinner and breakfast) was delicious and great service. The facility was clean throughout and the pool lifeguard was fun but firm about the rules which made me relaxed! Definitely a great pick!

There's nothing I can say I didn't like! However, if you're one that does not like line be sure to get there early for courtesy drinks and breakfast!
