We had a wonderful stay at Archer Old Town Alexandria. Initially, we booked for the Lorien but the day we checked in the hotel changed hands I suppose and the Archer group took over. We didn't have any problems in terms of their operation. The Archer management team were there the whole time (we stayed for 10 days). I would like to give our special thanks to Katherina (the hotel manager) and the gentlemen from the Archer Hotel Burlington, MA. In 2023 we stayed there also and we had such a great service. It was such a nice coincidence to stay at an Archer Hotel again. Archer Old Town Alexandria has an excellent location. There are tons of restaurants by walking distance. The free Alexandria bus and the trolley stop is right by the hotel. It has a very nice outside seating area. Many thanks to all the staff; Katherina, reception, Orka from housekeeping.

We love this hotel. We stay here every time we're in Alexandria. Right on King St so we can hop on the trolley to the Waterfront. Very walkable to restaurants. Valet was very friendly, front desk staff welcoming. room was clean, quiet, and comfortable as always. We'll definitely be back.
Expensive breakfast, parking fees, etc. It would be nice to have a loyalty program that would discount these things. Stay a few nights, get a free breakfast, at least for the kids.

Very nice hotel, within walking distance to restaurants, shops and public transportation. We used the bikes that were complementary of the hotel and road around the city. Took advantage of room service and ordered from Brabo, which was tasty. The daily mints and water after the room clean was great! Would definitely return.
In the middle of the night the fridge would make loud clicks that woke me up. I just unplugged it for awhile and when it was replugged, I did not hear the noise anymore. I'm sure if I had shared this with the hotel staff they would have fixed the issue immediately.

The staff were phenomenal. They were in constant communication with me via text which I really loved. It felt good knowing that they were so attentive. The room was spacious and comfortable, bigger than I expected. Room service was also very fast. Everything was clean! I loved that it's pet friendly and the neighborhood is great! Everything you need is walking distance.
There was a weird smell in the elevators/first floor that was hard to ignore. It was very unpleasant. I also couldn't open my window because my view was of another person's balcony.

The room was spacious, Nice and exceptionally clean ....this is a very classy place and the location was wonderful Staff was wonderful with one exception (see below) but i also liked how throughout my stay someone was always checking in with me to make sure i was comfortable - everyone was accommodating and seemed genuinely helpful which made the stay even nicer
The room was spacious but there seemed to be alot of empty space in the room.....small thing Also one of the overnight staff members was kinda rude but when staff reached out for a general check in i mentioned it -i felt confident it would be addressed

I liked the hotel alot. Staff were nice. And listened well in regards to an issue we brought to their attention. Rooms were clean. The bathroom with the tub and shower was amazing. The location was good. The restaurant next door was really good. We had brunch there. Overall we decided we will be back.
We have concerns about the miscommunication or lack there of of the $150 deposit. We witnessed a Mom with her children not being able to check in because she was un aware of the deposit. As we're we. We were able to pay ours however communicating that upfront would be great.

I live in DC but I booked this hotel to get away from the July 4th fireworks noise in my neighborhood- a staycation. I had a corner room that faced the street but there was barely any noise. The room was clean and lovely. Shower was modern and spacious. Staff was friendly and I enjoyed the complimentary wine at 5pm. They even had bikes that were free and available to use! It was easy for me to get to the National Harbor for work as the hotel is walking distance to King Street metro station where there is a bus that takes you directly to the Harbor. The Tasting Room's (the restaurant that's connected to the hotel) a/c was not working so I couldn't eat there but there are tons of other good restaurants on the street where the hotel is located. I would definitely stay at the Lorien again.
Nothing i didn't like.

The room was very nice and comfortable. I like the layout of the overall facility including the restaurant, tasting room, and the lounge areas. The location of the hotel was also excellent. Close to metro and close to the restaurants heading toward the water. Also the location is right on the line of the old town shuttle.
The overall facility was good although it is pricey for what you get. It's independent, so you don't get any benefits from an overall program like a Hyatt or Marriott brand. Even being independent there are no benefits associated with your payment processer.

It was clean, serene, beautiful! Bed was super comfortable and balcony view was gorgeous. Enjoyed nespresso coffee every morning. The shower was soothing and the robe super comfortable. Loved the courtyard and eating at the attached restaurant. Staff was friendly, courteous and helpful. We had a wonderful stay and would come back. We had a wonderful relaxing vacation.
I felt $40. / day parking is pretty expensive. Also we had a lot of trouble with the cable and couldn’t get some of the programs we had wanted to watch.

The shower was excellent! Nice pressure.
The Valet parking wasn't available when I arrived. I assume because street parking was fine at that time. Problem was, I had to set an alarm to start paid parking in the morning. Also, I asked at least 3 times about the spa. I was told twice, the hotel didn't have information on the spa because they are separate, and I should contact the spa directly. Problem is, spa is closed Mondays. I booked other services off property...
