Clean , new and nice

Only con before you book through booking.com please know it’s a $100.00 deposit per night of your stay. On the actual website it states that but not under the booking.com website . There’s a lot of taxes included as well . No parking lot you will have to pay 32.00 a dollars a night through valet . ( go find parking on the side street ) this was not stated on the booked .com website .

Alistair Gomes the Front Desk Manager and Andrew the Bellman pulled out every stop to make our stay an exceptional experience.

I have zero complaints.

The staff was very responsive and professional. We had 2 facility problems ( a water leak onto carpet from the AC unit and a plugged shower drain). We reported them to the front desk and staff fixed the problems by the time we returned in the evening. There are always problems wherever one stays and the ability of the hotel to correct issues quickly is what counts. The housekeeping staff was excellent. Every day the room was pristine! Also praise to the doormen and doorwoman who greeted us every time on arrival .

It was really quite good all around

Every thing about the hotel was superb ( location, staff, rooms).

I believe they have significant issues with their way of payment. The amount I paid at the reception was not the same amount on Booking. Com. Although it was stated on Booking. Com the total price of the reservation. Moreover, they have the highest incidentals ever 160$/room/night. Wait for the refund to come back. Its been more than one month, I didn't recieve the refund and still contacting the credit card bank. I contacted the hotel, no reply. Inbrief, the hotel is nice but might ruin Your eoconomic plans of the trip

The property was very modern and clean. Every single detail was perfect. The architecture, the furniture, the art work/paintings on the wall even the smell of the hotel was nice. The staff were absolutely amazing. Every single staff member went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The door staff who stood outside the hotel lobby day and night always made sure to open and close the hotel doors as you enter/exit. Such a nice touch. Even the bakery/cafe was perfect. We didn’t get time to experience the bar on our trip but even that looked fantastic. Can’t wait to come back!!

The room we were given was excellent; it was very spacious with the comfy bedroom in a separate room. It felt much like we had our own apartment that was tastefully appointed in a minimalistic style, complete with a sizable dining table and decent kitchen. The coffee in the room was great. The outdoor lounge area and exercise room were both beautiful, although we really did not get a chance to use either.

The breakfast was only mediocre. I was a bit disappointed that the lobby was under construction, and the makeshift reception desk was off in an awkward hallway, but presumably that will be rectified when construction is complete.

Our stay exceeded our expectations. Location is perfect, plenty of eating places within short distance (we particularly enjoyed the Thai restaurant, round the corner). The room was huge, quiet, clean and modernly furnished. And the bathroom too! We had the best freshly baked (onsite!!) pastries and fantastic coffee every morning. The bar and sitting area are modernly designed and beautifully furnished. Staff was very professional, Adam went above and beyond to make our stay very comfortable, Nick makes the best cocktails and his knowledge of food and beverages is very impressive. Nick, just like Adam was able to easily connect with the customer and their needs, nothing was too much for these guys!! A shout out to Zane, she was extremely professional too and made sure to check in with us on a regular basis. For us it was the perfect place to stay, we will be back!!

The property was super clean. High end luxury feels. I loved the dim lighting. For a second my partner thought we were in a 50 shades of grey hotel lol. The staff was super attentive to our needs and went the extra mile. Any complaints we may have had were addressed immediately. The property boasted a number of great amenities to enjoy.Which were great for times where we didn’t want to leave the property but still wanted to get out of our room. We loved how the cinema allows you to connect your phone for a more personal experience. Everything was great!!!!

My only complaints was the smell in the elevators,the shower leaked everywhere from the tub/shower combo due to a design flaw and the valet. While the customer service of valet was excellent, I’m not sure what was going on sometimes with them retrieving my vehicle. Our second night valet took so long we were late to our dinner reservation which resulted in a big mess with the restaurant but nonetheless the valet staff were still great.

Ambience of the hotel, fabulous coffee (best coffee in two weeks) and fresh and lovely food in the cafe. Highlight is the friendly staff at the front desk every time of day.

Our coffee machine shorted the room 3 times and was unable to be fixed. Safe wasn’t unlocked and didn’t get opened. These are minor things that can be fixed with a good maintenance person. Don’t let this deter you from staying here. Also excellent tea selection but the coffee machine can’t produce hot water to the temperature needed to make tea so it was a false start for me! The standard of this hotel befits a proper kettle - even one of those cool Japanese kettle specially for tea.

The room was beautiful and they were really kind. The survey says we "stated a preference for a quiet room" when we did not - however we did mention it was our wedding anniversary which makes me think that the hotel may have put us in a "quiet" room for that, which is nice. They also left us a cute little note for our anniversary which was very sweet. The neighborhood is beautiful and it's walking distance from pretty much anything you need. The hotel itself is gorgeous and the rooms are very beautiful, it's definitely one of those boutique hotels that maybe put more thought into aesthetics than function but that seems to be the independent hotel market at this time.

If you want amenities like room service, breakfast, ice for your room, housekeeping, etc, you're probably better off in a bigger hotel, but if you are looking for a quirky/unique experience and are only there for a couple days this is a nice little escape. Valet parking is super pricey and there is no alternative - this seems like a "duh" for me as someone who is familiar with Northern Virginia, but some guests checking in around us seemed to be surprised by this so I figured I would include it.
