We recently had the pleasure of staying at Kasteli Suites for four nights in the Economy Studio and it was an experience to remember. While the apartment itself was charming and steeped in traditional Cretan decor, it was the hospitality that truly made our stay unique. The host went above and beyond to ensure our every need was met, from the moment we arrived until the day we left. It’s clear that when the owner is directly involved, you can expect a level of care and attention that truly elevates your stay. The host’s dedication to making us feel welcome and comfortable was the heart and soul of our experience. Kasteli Suites is perfectly located in the heart of Chania, just a short walk from the vibrant Venetian port. We highly recommend exploring the area on foot as the central location makes it easy to access everything without the need for a car. The apartment's traditional decor offers a nostalgic glimpse into Crete’s past, though some of the furniture and appliances show their age. While this adds to the rustic charm, it does come with a few quirks-like creaky doors and a bathroom door that occasionally gets stuck. One aspect to be mindful of is the noise level. As the building is not soundproofed, early risers might find themselves awakened by the sounds of daily activity around 7 a.m., which may impact light sleepers. Overall, despite these minor inconveniences, our stay was still incredibly enjoyable thanks to the outstanding hospitality and the unbeatable location.

We were in the two bedroom house. It was traditional and very charming. We had a warm welcome on arrival. The courtyard was beautiful and shaded. Most of all the location was perfect - very quiet cul de sac but just a few minutes walk from the heart of Chania old town and the harbour. It is also the centre of archeological finds on Crete!

It is a historic property. The stairs are therefore very steep which weren’t an issue for us, but the 2-bed house option is probably not the property for anyone with mobility problems/young children. Charming though!

Alex is a great host. He made sure we had everything we needed, he was great at communicating in advance, he met us at the parking, which he had reserved for us, he helped us order a taxi to the airport, and he even sent us some clothes we forgot in the house. House was charming. The area is quiet, but not more than a few minutes by foot away from the old harbour.

Excellent location with immediate access to downtown (Old Town) Chania. Everything kept clean and fresh daily. Attentive and friendly hosts.

Some key kitchen utensils like toaster and frying pan would have been helpful, although in fairness we were out mostly because of the spectacular food options locally. Some old/odd furniture providing opportunities for stubbed toes.

Its an amazing placer and we would go back 100%. Alex the manager is a great host and they were very nice letting us check in a bit earlier. He gave us good tips. The facilities were superb and they even do some cleaning for us every day. Its a must-go this place.

Almost nothing wrong. Maybe the towells could be better, and a courtain for the door. But just a little detail.

Staff is exceptionally friendly, he gave us a lot information about the city and the whole island. He takes his time so you can feel comfortable on your vacation. The breakfast is very good on the best location possible, in the city centre with the view on the small port. The rooms are comfortable and big enough with good air conditioning.

Fantastic location, 1 minute walk (each direction) to two different sides of the harbour. Alex is a brilliant host, beers, wine, water in the fridge. He went to the store and bought us mil when we arrived (at 11pm) for our two young children. Answered each of my requests (over booking message system) within 10 mins of asking. Facilitated us in receiving some very important post to reception. Wonderful to deal with. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Air con is excellent and can be left on when you leave the room (we’ve experienced different on our travels around Crete). It really helped that the room was cool enough for two children under 4 when we returned in the evening. View of the White Mountains from our balcony was great. Room is cleaned every day. Wonderful, shared, outdoor area for homemade lunch or dinner.

Floor needs to be swept before being mopped. We had a week of feet on the floor. (Next two are nitpicking and are children specific) More shade on the balcony would be nice. There is direct overhead shade but the two large gaps (to facilitate the view) allow a lot of sun in during the day. Hard to keep the kids in the shade while playing on the spacious balcony. The stairs from our upstairs to downstairs level (we had the split level apartment) could be dangerous for a toddler aged 1-3.

Perfect place to stay in Chania We really enjoyed our time in Kastelli Suites, host was very welcoming and helpful. He suggested great places and activites to visit and how to get there, also did recommend few very nice restaurants with locale food and answered all questions we had. The apartment was great and was cleaned every day. It had everything we needed and we would recommend it with no hesitation

Everything was excellent.

Location was great. We stayed in the 3-bedroom house. Had a shared courtyard setting, about a 5 minute walk from the inside corner of the busy harbor, without all the noise. Shops within a few minutes walk for groceries and snacks. Secure parking (€10 day) for our SUV rental car was right across the street -- that was much appreciated as parking is hard to come by in Chania. Alex kept an eye on it as well. Breakfast was a good deal at €8 each served at a nearby harbor front restaurant -- steps from the water. It was pretty much exactly as in the pix. Air Conditioning worked well. Good water pressure in the showers. Our 3-floor rental cleaned daily for our family of 5. Welcome wine, water and fresh fruit in the fridge. Washing machine with line dry (everything dried very fast). Host was exceptional. We very much enjoyed talking with Alex and regret not having more time just to sit and visit with him.

I found it a little confusing to tell which room was which when looking at photos on Booking.com as I was making the reservations. It's very clear on his website.
