A nice big room with some view of the lake of Thun, even though the room was designated as a city view. Plus we liked that the window when closed were completely noise free, we could not hear a single car from the street below. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and our included breakfast was very good, approaching the level of a 4-star hotel. Dinner on the patio was wonderful, the cuisine is traditional Swiss with a wonderful presentation. A big bonus for 1st of August travelers, the lake's big fireworks display happens right in front of you, and is spectacular!

The room's carpet and curtains and trimmings felt and looked quite old and worn. The bathroom could benefit from more soaps and skin products, as we are accustomed to from three-star hotels. But these few things are really minor, and did not detract from our enjoyment at all.

The staff were exceptional - very pleasant and helpful. The location was stunning, having a lake view was wonderful. We ate in the restaurant and really enjoyed our meal looking out over the lake. Breakfast was also excellent. It was lovely to be able to stroll along the waterfront. Secure parking across the road was great for the motorbike.

This is not a complaint, as we knew when we booked that there was no air con - it was hot in the room overnight, even with the fan. This was a minor thing as we loved everything about our stay here.

fantastic lake view and parking spaces

We booked a room with partial lake view. namely the room is facing east so no panaramic view but still breathtaking. We could just see Niesen. The room it self is spacious. The bed is comfortable. We enjoyed our breakfast outside on the terrace. It was a great time. The hotel is located on a promenade so a little walk is always easy. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel and all guests could enjoy a free bus ride to the center of Thun.

We did not expect that the road in front of the hotel is such busy. Towards night time there was less cars but the bus was still running 4 times a hour. And it is really noisy. The church right next to the hotel started striking as early as 6am. If you are not an early bird you need to consider which room to book. Or keep your window and balcony door shut.

Wonderful location with a perfect view to the alps and main mountains of the "Berner Oberland". The large family room (with two separated rooms) are very clean and comfortable. No details are missing for a perfect stay (welcome drinks for the whole family, enough sockets, bath products, chocolate and free cold water in the minibar). The little walking path, lounge at the hotel and having breakfast at the lake was wonderful. Next time we will take our bathing suits to go for a swim in the lake.

Warning about restaurant closing days! After making the reservation (without cancellation possibility) a few weeks in advance, we only noticed later that the restaurant is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays! Which is a pity, because we selected the hotel especially for having the supper at the lake and hotel. We would advise Booking.com or the hotel administration to make a warning message about this before letting the user agreeing the reservation. This is a no-go for such a price and that the family room has no lake view. Luckily there are other restaurants in the area and the breakfast was ideal.

The location right on the lake was lovely, and there was a dining terrace to enjoy breakfast or dinner. The evening meals were excellent. There was a walkway along the lakeside to enjoy an evening stroll. Our room had a beautiful view over the lake towards the mountains. There was no difficulty parking, and the bus stop was just across the road.

We had a very nice stay at Hotel Bellevue au Lac. The view from our room was very beautiful. With sight at the mountains and lake it is the best of two worlds. The personal was friendly and helpful. There is a lot to do in the region. With the panorama card you can travel by bus to many beautiful places.

Everything was great, accept it doesn’t have AC. A fan was in the room it helped as the the weather was nice at the time i was staying there. One thing is a bit annoying is the church bell rings a lot and it’s across the street, but not during sleep time.

Excellent location and excellent restaurant. Very good breakfast as well. Free parking in front of the hotel. Very friendly staff.

We stayed in the small hotel next to the main one. There was only one plug in the room, which was not sufficient for all the devices.

This is an amazing hotel with beautiful view! The staff was very polite and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel!

The breakfasts were very good and everything was fresh. But there were not a lot of vegetables and we had the same thing to eat everyday. For one night in the hotel it's okay but we stayed 5 days and it was a bit repetitive.
