The property is a nicely renovated old house. It is well located, just outside the centre of Thun and close enough to many beautiful sites, in particular the Jungfrau region but also e.g. the Unesco biosphere. Easy private parking. Breakfast was very good, both the coffee and the choice of food, including a warm dish (eggs). The restaurant is also good, Italian cuisine. On the first floor (with rooms) there is a cosy space with chairs, flyers about the region and a decent Nespresso coffee machine (with caps provided and refilled each day). Good level of cleanliness.

The bed was not comfortable and that is the main weakness. Not only was it not a double bed, unlike the description on Booking (they were two beds with two separate mattresses), but it did not have proper mattresses (rather, thin toppers). While the room was quite large, there is a lot of unused space (e.g. a sofa/chairs/a larger table or wardrobe could be added) and the bathroom is rather small. Check-in was ok but we had to wait a bit before someone arrived from the kitchen/restaurant (we arrived at dinner time).

Exceptional hotel with beautiful modern Italian theme and quality decorations throughout. Free parking on site.just behind but right next to the hotel. Super friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Room was superb, spotlessly clean with all modern conveniences. Lovely modern shower and lovely complimentary natural shower gel and shampoo. We booked a mountain view room which was spacious and had the most superbly comfortable bed! Lovely touches such as complimentary water, Nespresso coffee machine in a snug room, and fruit. We walked down to the lakeside cafe bar owned by the hotel to enjoy a beer and wine on the edge of the lake in a deckchair which was wonderful after the long journey. The evening meal was excellent at the hotel, highly recommend the beef and homemade rigatoni, both were delicious. Delicious breakfast, buffet style delicious meats, cheeses, cereals, yoghurt and fresh breads. Eggs cooked 3 ways to order. Gluten free and lactose free catered for, best to ask ahead. Free bus into Thun and Interlaken with QR code from the hotel. Buses excellent and frequent. Highly recommend a visit to Thun for the castle and bridge. Interlaken is half hour and great to connect to trains for Jungfraujoch, highly recommend!!! And Lautebrunnen and Wengen just beautiful!! Best hotel we’ve stayed in in Europe. The service, food and hotel generally were all first class - and we could even take our dog who was loved by all and sat quietly whilst we thoroughly enjoyed dinner. We chose half-board which is what we recommend. A free bus pass was the icing on the cake as I normally drive and have the parking issue to deal with. Magnificent spot by the lake - and you would never regret a trip here. 11 out of 10!

Nothing - would just ask for one extra pillow each which we know is a request that would be fulfilled.

Great location near the lake. Perfect for a stroll at night, or to soak up sun and have lunch during the day. The ferry service is just outside your doorstop. Excellent breakfast.

No air conditioning and it was a warm night but bearable enough to sleep.

Location. This was perfect us.. it felt away from the tourist hub, but only a 25min beautiful stroll to Thun okd town, along the river. Its also just up from hunibach ferry pier where there is a lovely park, playground and cafe, with a small swimming area. Also close to bus stop and supermarket. Rooms. Spacious modern rooms. Comfortable, and nice bathroom. There is also a communal club room where you can relax and make coffee etc. Restaurant. We dined here one night and found the quality of dishes wonderful. Staff were very warm and welcoming :) The hotel provided panorama passes which gives you discounts, and free use of the buses which was very helpful in expensive Switzerland

Spacious room, bathroom well appointed and everything appeared relatively new / high end finishes that were installed properly. Beds had individual little topper mats so it wasn’t a true queen but quite comfortable. Easy walk down to the lake and multiple parks / swim locations, also right at a bus stop for 5min ride to center of town (free with the card they give you).

Only down side was no real fridge for food nor AC and we were miserably hot until heavy thunderstorms helped cool down slightly.

The owner was really attentive. He helped us to get best of the region with a small child within 2 days thanks to his recommendations. The breakfast was delicious. The rooms were so clean that I almost felt like home. The location is close to the Thun center and is by the lake.The hotel provides panoroma cards that provides free or discounted public transport.

Dinner was absolutely amazing! Breakfast was very good. Amazing coffee!!! Staff is very friendly and welcoming. We liked the size of the room. Cleanliness is on point.

It was very warm in the room. We didn’t sleep so well, because of the warm air in the room. There is no air conditioning and no airflow. We couldn’t have windows open, because the restaurant was working late and the noise from street is very loud.

My favorite was the dinner in the downstairs restaurant. Both meals I had were honestly so very delicious! I am admittedly a food snob and these were the best meals I had during my week vacation. Purposely returned on time so I could eat there and not somewhere else. The people were also so pleasant and nice. They gave off a family vibe. I think it is a family that owns/runs it. The room was very clean but very minimalistic bare bones decor. Loved the free parking as the area required me to have a rental car to visit all of the places I needed to go to. But everything was in a 10-30 minute distance and a VERY picturesque drive to all places! Loved it!

The breakfast was lacking especially with such a delicious dinner menu I just thought it would have been better. It is my favorite meal of the day but there was only plain unseasoned eggs as the only hot option to add onto the rest of the cold options. Just add a more robust breakfast and it would be a perfect!

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. From the comfortable, modern and spacious rooms to the friendly staff and owners taking care of you the entire stay. Just wonderful. Their restaurant serves great Italian food as well.

Nothing to complain, would go back again if I visit the area. Maybe some people may find the variaity of breakfast too little. But it is of high quality and eggs personally baked and served by the owner. You can always ask the owner if there is anything you need.
