We always stop overnight at Days Inn Lockerbie on our way to our home in the Scottish Highlands. The room and facilities are excellent particularly after travelling the first 300 miles of our journey.

Spacious warm room, comfy king size bed, lovely view onto the lake from the balcony. Very quiet (at least speaking about the lake view rooms as the one we stayed in, no motorway noise). Staff members are super friendly and helpful! At this date, the breakfast arrangements consist in paying £7.50 at the reception to get a £10 voucher to spend at Costa, Breakfast Kitchen, McDonalds or Cornish Bakery at the services (which pretty much allows you to get a drink and a food item - plenty of choice). Just 15 mins drive from the towns of Moffat and Lockerbie for meals. Picknic tables near the lake outside for the warmer days.

It is a road stop/services but the hotel is on the far side, a beautiful spot beside a lake. Our ground floor room was lakeside and was such a lovely surprise. We had a little terrace where you could sit out and watch the swans and ducks. We arrived a little early on 2nd April 24 but he receptionist was so professional, noticing that my hubby has Parksinsons she very sweetly changed our room to ground floor without our asking and helped us with our bags - and turned the heating on for us. We later saw her changing beds - a real hard worker. The room was properly clean and comfortable.
They dont serve food here BUT you can pay £7 and receive a voucher worth £10 to spend at the Road Chef next door.

Excellent location - so convenient by the motorway, but surprisingly pleasant on the edge of the lake. Very good value. Direct access to the service station food court and shop without going outside. Room was huge, well equipped, warm and comfortable. It was also surprisingly quiet - the only noise was from people in the corridor when entering or leaving their rooms. It was worth paying the extra for a lake view room with a small balcony - nice to wake up to the pleasant view and to birdsong.
WiFi signal and TV reception were patchy, but this wasn't an issue for me as the 4G (O2) signal was excellent.

Booked for the convenient location as a break in the journey. We liked the room so much we were tempted to stay another night. Staff were extremely helpful and guided me through how to book the room I wanted. I needed a ground floor room as my wife is in a wheelchair but I wanted a lake view. She loved it. I also wanted a room that had clearance under the bed to use a hoist. Note it was not billed as am accessible room. Ironically they had divans which are no use with a hoist or brand aid. They also let me check out late after I explained it takes me longer than usual to get going due to my wife's mobility. We also loved the geese!
Central booking number was most unhelpful, I just wanted to speak to someone in the actual hotel which I eventually did and they were great but I had to wait until 3pm for some reason to be able to do that. Balcony sliding door not wide enough for a wheelchair so my wife had to enjoy the view from inside.

The staff were lovely as always and the hotel is very convenient to break our journey up to Scotland. I like the room size and the beds are always very comfortable. Bonus is the decent free wi-fi
I stayed in an accessable room at it was the last one left available and I was disappointed to see that the "red cord" alarm cord by the bath was broken at the top. There is no way someone could call for help if they fell in its current state.

We were travelling on foot - walking north. The receptionist was excellent - as were all the staff in other parts of the Service Area complex. The bath was appreciated! Surprised by the calm of the place - the lakeside position was superb. We watched (in the evening) a flock of migrating house martins (arriving back for the summer) & (during breakfast) 2 Divers (?Black Throated?) fishing for theirs. It was fascinating to observe the process of a major transportation route - the movement of freight wagons & other commercial traffic. As walkers we were uninvolved - just 'passers-by' travelling at a speed that allowed for observation & reflection.

Family room was a really good size for 2 adults, 2 children and the dog. The fact that the hotel allowed dogs was the main reason we stayed here. There is a beautiful lake outside, lovely path to walk around and plenty of space for dogs . Really friendly and welcoming staff and also a good selection of food outlets on the doorstep.
Nothing, it was great. Would have loved to have been able to use the fire exit door right outside our room for quicker access outside for the dog but that was a minor issue.

We stay here often. The staff are super friendly and the room just perfect for our needs. This visit was a little different as I have a broken leg, the disabled access was excellent. Usually we take a stroll around the lake which is beautiful and eases the tension of a long journey (we drive up from Sussex each time after visiting family on our way home to Islay). I recommend Annandale Services to everyone I know travelling up to Scotland. PS Comfy beds too !!!
Nothing, it’s a perfect stop.

The staff were fabulous, we got there early and had access to our room which had a lakeside view was appreciated after a very long drive, big room, big comfortable bed, small balcony overlooking the lake, tea and coffee making in room, big bed, internet connection iffy, but the weather wasn't great, for the price it was fabulous, facilities at the location are good, McDonalds, Cornish Pastie shop, WH Smith's, M&S with a coffee / tea etc, lovely stay, very relaxing surrounds, great value, will definitely stay there again, quiet location despite being a service station, thank you Annandale Waters 5* from me.
Bathroom a bit dated but more than functional Internet was in and out but mostly OK Nothing bad at all, but people will complain, you really can't go wrong here for the price
