Super comfortable room, cosy, clean. Great hamper breakfast included. Great pub and lovely restaurant below. We had the most delicious Sunday dinner in the restaurant. Staff super friendly.
The only negative thing I have to say is check the room is not situated directly above the pub section. On the booking confirmation email it advised we had booked such a room and to expect some noise. I don’t remember seeing the warning on the listing; I may have missed it so check the listing carefully. The pub noise was loud and went til about 11.15pm, with lots of slamming of doors and people hanging out on the street after the pub closed. May have been busier than usual as it was the night before a bank holiday.

There is an excellent bus service between Nottingham, West Bridgford, Radcliffe-on-Trent and Bingham, and those are the places we needed to be from time to time. Bingham has two places where we have stayed: the Wheatsheaf and the Townhouse. Both are very good. At the Wheatsheaf Pub, the rooms above are in a section with it's own security door. There is a good selection of breakfast food to pick up on the first level to take to your room where there is a refrigerator. We had a good room and bathroom, and a comfortable sturdy king-size bed. It was perfect for us.
Nothing to grumble about, but just two things to be prepared for. It is a fine old building that had some work still to be done on some exterior window hardware and paint when we were there. The short staircase from the first accommodation level is narrow with a turn and a tall person may need to duck a bit on a couple of steps. Our bed had a good sturdy rustic wooden frame which I liked, but it presented corners exposed an inch or so beyond the mattress, so we needed to take care not to bump a shin when walking close to it.

The decor was fabulous, and the little touches were great - fresh milk, proper coffee (bags), fresh OJ. Forgot my shampoo and conditioner but needn't have worried as all the showers had these. Loved the breakfast idea - great selection of treats, also many suitable items for my vegan friend. Staff were friendly and helpful. Loved the en-suites, very modern, stylish and luxurious.
The ONLY issue was that the heating didn't seem to work in the upstairs rooms, no thermostats on the radiators so probably just needed to bleed them.

My sister and I liked the breakfasts which were cold and 'help yourself' and laid out on the landing so that we could take what we wanted and and eat in our bedroom at a time that suited us. There was a mini fridge in the room to store milk and juice. The pub was in the middle of Bingham which was convenient and only a mile or so away from the family we were visiting. The room was nicely decorated and very clean. We thought it was great that a member of staff came on the two days we were there to see that we had what we wanted and empty the bins.
The room was on the second floor and we were a bit dismayed to find the second flights of stairs were very steep, as both my sister and I have slight health issues. However, we managed. A sign on the bathroom door warning that there was a step down into the bathroom would be an improvement as would a grab bar in shower (which was otherwise very good and suitable for elderly/disabled people).

This hotel, pub is an absolute gem. Everything about this hotel was amazing, the staff are so welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was amazing and so calming, comfortable and quiet. We also eat in the restaurant, which was 10/10. The food is spot on! The staff again are amazing. And the sticky toffee pudding is the best dessert I’ve ever had !!! 100% recommend this hotel/ restaurant. Thank you so much. 😊

The room was beautifully decorated really cosy and peaceful. Great location and parking as well which was a bonus. The breakfast station was a great idea it was nice to be able to have breakfast in bed!
There wasn't much not to like, the only comment on this was that it took a while for us to check in waiting for a staff member but it was busy and we didn't really mind waiting a little.

The room was great, comfortable bed and very comfy soft pillows. Shower was great and bathroom lovely. Really loved the fresh orange juice each day. Didn't realise it included a continental breakfast which was a help yourself at a stand on the landing. Lovely croissants, jams, ham and cheese, muffins and bagels. The bar is really nice with open fire and some great draught beers. Would definitely go back again

Very clean. Excellent room - suited us perfectly. Restaurant a delight. Great chef & staff. Visited during the week so quiet, not sure if that’s possible over the weekend. Also breakfast needs some attention. But we had a lovely stay.
Breakfast needs some attention. Simple things like no real table to eat. Light source inadequate for making drinks, etc.. Food missing on 2nd day & not sure of quantity to take so did seem a bit mean.

The room was lovely and nice touch for the breakfast table so you can choose items to keep in the fridge to have for breakfast. The room was lovely, modern and clean.
Checking in at the bar took a while as it was busy when we arrived. We where heading to a surprise party so was in a rush. Maybe be easier to check in at the restaurant when the bar is busy.

We booked and arrived very late and so couldn't fault the staff and check in process at all really. Lovely place to stay. Beer was excellent but we didn't arrive early enough for food and so can't review that, excellent chinese takeaway a stones throw away and a lovely little breakfast cafe over the marketplace.
Although the room was lovely and the mini fridge and juice etc was a welcome extra, there was no breakfast option - again this was mainly our fault for the late booking so we were just pleased for the bed, the room was lovely but on the smaller side so I would recommend removing the unnecessary massive drawing cabinet from the end of the bed to de-clutter the room.
