I recently stayed at the Auberge Hotel and was thoroughly impressed by the outstanding attentive service and helpfulness from Jake and Katie. Their dedication to ensuring our stay was perfect truly stood out. From check-in to check-out, they went above and beyond to cater to our needs and made us feel exceptionally welcome. The hotel itself exudes a modern but romantic vibe, creating the perfect ambiance for a relaxing getaway. The decor is chic yet cozy, making it an ideal spot for couples or anyone looking to unwind in style. The breakfast at the Auberge Hotel was exceptional, with each dish crafted to perfection. The bespoke service provided during breakfast, with personalized recommendations and attention to detail, made the experience even more special. Thanks to Jake and Katie’s exceptional service, the Auberge Hotel has become our first choice for a return visit. We look forward to coming back and enjoying another wonderful stay!

Good location whether your passing through or using as a base to explore local area, appeared to be very professionally run, we only had contact with one member of staff and he was very good, room was very comfortable, good parking facility's, continental and freshly cooked breakfast etc all good, we stayed on a Sunday evening so their restaurant was not open unfortunately (another place just down the road was open so wasn't a problem)
Nothing to dislike, only comment we would have is our room was dimly lit with no way to turn the lights up a bit (minor issue)

The greeting when we arrived was professional and welcoming Jake new about me and my booking and was able to confirm the restaurant booking we had made on arrival. The room was clean and warm and matched the photographs on the website The staff in the restaurant were well trained and knowledgeable of the menu. The meal itself was wonderful and perfectly cooked The Breakfast was set up and welcoming when we arrived and sufficient for cold choices and the cooked menu was fresh and suited me and m vegetarian wife. Having a 11 o'clock checkout meant it was also there was no rush to leave. The area is quiet and had a great nights sleep too.! Jake, Restaurant staff, Kitchen staff/Food are a credit to the Hospitality business and others could learn a lot from this establishment
Nothing about the stay disappointed.

Two things stood out at this hotel and were truly five star, the staff and the restaurant. The couple managing the hotel are very friendly and personable and made sure we had a pleasant experience. The restaurant (also managed by them) serves top notch food using local produce, probably the best in the area as it was fully booked with many repeat customers. We also liked the serene setting of the hotel which provided for a great two nights of sleep. Breakfast was excellent. Free parking on site.
The rooms do need a facelift (e.g. new carpet and furniture, better lighting) especially given the otherwise great quality of the hotel. There are no other facilities on site. This didn't majorly bother us as we were out most of the day but perhaps we would've spent more time at the hotel had there been any activities or spa.

The proprietor was always keen on my welfare and when I tod him I wouldn't be able to make breakfast as it was too early for me due to my chronic fatigue. He immediately suggested coming down after the breakfast session had ended where he would fix me up with a bacon sandwich and a cup of coffee - a most welcome suggestion. The mattress and pillows were heaven to sleep on and I have not had such a good nights sleep in over 15 years since a hip operation that went wrong. The air conditioning in the bedroom was superb as well. It provided just the right temperature and hardly made any noise at all.
Didn't like is a strong set of words. There is nothing I didn't like but I might make a suggestion in writing out a menu for the breakfast options and desserts with the evening meal. The choice was huge and the choice's took some time to sink in. A written menu also gives you time to savour the moment.

My wife and I dropped onto this venue while looking for a nearby overnight stay to spend our wedding anniversary away with an evening meal and breakfast on booking.com. What a find! The whole experience exceeded our expectations, from the welcome of the owner to the delightful room and the exquisite menu. We chose the tasting menu and the accompaniment of the wine flight and we weren't disappointed! Their enthusiasm for the locally sourced and sometimes homegrown food shone through and the attention paid to the choice of wines culminated in a near perfect experience. Congratulations to the whole team and thank you for making it a memorable experience for us both.

The owner of the hotel was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable of the food and wines that he served. The food was high-class cuisine and amazing. This was definitely a highlight of our stay, as we ate in the restaurant for two of our three nights stay. The breakfast was superb, too, with local produce being used where possible. The bedroom was a good size with the bed being very comfortable. We will definitely return!
Nothing at all!

The property was immaculately and tastefully presented throughout with a perfect mix of traditional and modern furnishings and drapery which gave it a classy and warm feel with outstanding attention to detail in every area. Little touches like hot hand wipes and impeccable service as the amazing staff worked seamlessly and almost silently in the background . No noisy clinking glasses in the bar or loud chatter from the kitchen , just totally professional and calm yet not at all stuffy professional staff creating a wonderful relaxing experience valuing each and every guest and/or diner with just the right level of grace humour and nothing is too much trouble attitude. The food in the a la carte restaurant is tremendous with exquisite service and wonderful use of locally sourced and on site provisions from their kitchen garden which is open to enjoy . The breakfast was also cooked to order and to absolute perfection. Part beautifully presented continental buffet and a la carte cooked for the other . We were staying here because we had a reason to be in that part of the country but we would certainly consider making the very long journey back just to experience this outstanding gem again . They deserve your custom.
There was nothing that we didn’t like about this property . Don’t be put off by the adjacent road it really isn’t an issue . The only thing that I would have changed was an emergency light above the bedroom door was quite bright to me but may not concern others . I like absolute darkness . But this is minor and easy to address. Dogs are welcome but the accommodation for dogs and their owners is separate for anybody with concerns about a “ doggy “ room but I doubt that they would be an issue either as the place is immaculate .

Beautiful 'superior double' room, as booked. Comfortable large 4 poster bed with wet room ensuite. Double glazing, so couldn't hear road noise despite being so close. Appears to be extremely dog friendly, despite not using the restaurant.
Unfortunately we booked as a last minute and were not aware we would be unable to eat at the restaurant on site; one of the reasons we chose this venue. As soon as I booked I had sent a follow up email, via booking.com and hotels website requesting DINNER that evening, a room with A BATH (for medical reasons) & informing that we would be BRINGING OUR DOG. The owner reports he had made several phone calls and emails, all of which I had not received. He did suggest various local places which we could try instead.

I only stayed one night but thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Jake was a fantastic host, very welcoming and informative. My room was spacious, with everything you could need. The bed was very comfortable, I had a good nights sleep!. Lovely bathroom with excellent shower and beautiful towels and toiletries. My evening meal and the service was outstanding!. The best food I have tasted in a long time. Breakfast was equally as good, with a continental selection, plus the full English option. Once again the standard of food was amazing! I wish I could have stayed longer but I’ll definitely return as soon as possible. Highly recommended!
Nothing I didn’t like…..it was perfect!
