Lovely little local Inn beside the village Green in the small village of Beyton. The photos make it look like it is on a main road and it certainly isn't. The room we had was in a sort of stable conversion to the rear, with lots of parking and garden seating outside. The staff were very friendly, its a locals pub really, and the breakfast was excellent.

We were attending a garden party 10 minutes away. This a place to drive from. The rooms are good value with tea making facilities and en-suite, but nevertheless don't expect this to be a luxury hotel. The double bed/King was fine, we'd have preferred bigger. Otherwise it was a lovely place to stay and we were happy with the choice.

Situated in a quiet, attractive village close to Bury St Edmunds, the pub has quiet, comfortable rooms in a converted barn. We loved the garden in front of our room where we enjoyed the sunshine. Our dinner in the pub was good and excellent value. It is old school home cooked food. Breakfast was equally good. The beds were comfortable and we slept well.

I don't like a wet room but the shower was pretty good and it certainly is accessible for people who need assistance. Otherwise everything was great and we were delighted with the well run pub.

Great location, close to the function we were attending. Early room access was provided without question or cost. Easy access to car park. Staff were very efficient. Excellent breakfast. Overall our stay was very good value for money.

Other reviews have mentioned the problem with the green emergency light. We agree, but suspect it is a legal requirement. The thick duvet on a fairly hot night meant that we didn't get the best night's sleep.

The cooked breakfasts were fantastic! I had the English breakfast the first morning and could not finish it. I had previously informed them that I was gluten intolerant so they provided g/f sausages and bread. The scrambled eggs on toast the next day and the poached eggs on toast the day after were superb.

Whilst my room was quiet the fact that it is on a road made it noisy in the morning - not the Hotel's fault! The room and bathroom were nice and big; it is just a little tired in places. The bed was extremely comfortable; for my taste the pillows need to be more firm, they are very soft indeed.

Staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was downstairs which was an advantage as I’m not food with stairs. the price was good. Breakfast was tasty, with a few extras, like fruit to have with cereal. The cooked part was as ordered and freshly cooked.

The quilts are heavy and stifling. We were advised our room was ready and that was helpful under our particular circumstances. However it was not explained to us that this would incur a surcharge. I would have been happier if this had been mentioned at the time so we had a choice.

Ground floor room was ideal as my wife has mobility problems so has difficulty with stairs.

2 minor issues: 1. The room had obviously been recently painted so there was quite strong smell of paint. The windows were high up without pole to open them so couldn't let in fresh air. 2. The electric towel rail wasn't working

The room was very Comfortable, it served its purpose very well. we were tired. The staff are excellent. very friendly and eager to help along with a very and pleasant beer garden.

DEEP FRIED FOOD IN OIL. - Almost everything was dried in oil. The world has moved on and these antique ways of cooking are long gone. Without question Breakfast and my dinner steak were the worst meals I have eaten (or left on the plate) in a very long time) You need Gordon to come help.

Lovely location. The room was a nice size and a plus was having a fridge and sofa in the room. The food was excellent.

The decor in the room and bathroom was a bit dated. An external light is required from the car park to the rooms as it rather dark next to the hedge.
