The hotel is well located and absolutely gorgeous, while its size also makes it fairly private and serene. The restaurant staff and menu were pristine (I had the daily breakfast and dinner, twice and was satisfied) - I would go back again and again just for that part alone. The curated entertainment by the pool makes for a great addition as well.

The placement of the pool by the restuarant/bar area that is accessible to the public isn't ideal. A separate facility for hotel guests would be great, to allow for relaxation for whatever desired periods; without the fullness of people and the overall noise levels of outside patrons.

Coco de Mer is a nice little place to stay, offering a combination of convenience and beauty. The location is ideal, just a short stroll away from both the beach and nearby shops, making it easy to enjoy the best of what the area has to offer. The property itself is pretty, with well-maintained surroundings that add to the overall charm.

While Coco de Mer is a beautiful property in a great location, my experience was marred by a lack of communication from the staff. Unfortunately, they didn't inform us that breakfast was included, nor did they provide clear directions to the facilities like the pool and other amenities. This oversight was a little annoying, as we missed out on some of the offerings simply because we weren't aware of them. Clearer guidance from the staff would have made a significant difference in our overall experience.

The property is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. Perfect environment to unwind. As a single woman, I felt very safe and comfortable. The staff are all amazing. The double bonus is the restaurant on the ground floor! Breakfast is superb, actually all their food is top notch. Well done Coco De Mer & Fiamma Grill. I’ll definitely be back!!

The stay at Coco De Mar was superb . From the warm hospitality of the staff to the cleanliness of the restaurant and pool area was magnificent. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, Fabien has done an excellent job in that regard. The overall experience was fantastic, a truly world-class gem in the heart of Ballito on Compensation Rd. This is the prime-time boutique hotel in Ballito to stay at.

The noise over the weekends due to the bar area being a local watering hole for Ballito resident can be slight annoying sometimes.

The minute u walk in , an exclusive sense of paradise with charm galore. Delightfully, always booked luxurious elegant seaview rooms, so worth it! Everthing about Coco De Mer is of the finest quality from plush decor to the delightful restaurant to the irresistible sea views! Enjoy our stsy everytime! Ideally just a few steps away from the beach, a romantic walk is always a must everyday. A really exceptionally special beautiful hotel. Love it! ❤️

Breakfast was very tasty, a great variety to choose from and they have pancakes my favorite. Aesthetics of the room was wonderful. Loved the room service , loved how they have complimentary ironing who does that wow. I enjoyed my stay. The spa is right down stairs and they bring you a blanket when having fruits and drinks outside there is even an option to bring it to your room. Restaurant staff was great as well.

I booked a table for dinner but I wasn’t aware I need to mention with or without a table cloth. I found that very weird as no one communicated this to us.

Very close to the beach. Beautiful sea and forest view. Room was spacious and comfortable. Staff were friendly and attended to complaints / concerns quickly. Breakfast was great. Ideal holiday for a single mom and child compared to camping or self help facilities. It felt like an effortless and pleasant holiday. Would definitely go back.

It was a super stay. Loved the breakfast and the setting. The tranquil area outside is soothing. One day I would love to go for spa treatments here!

Reception staff can be a little more attentive and less engrossed in screens and devices. Also when I first attempted to make a booking the phone was unanswered.I don't like the steps that lead to the bathroom. Seems dangerous at night.

We liked mostly everything about this hotel especially the staff who were all wondeful. From the general manager to the reception and restaurant staff. Everyone was, always smiling and said hello. The food was very good and the fillet medallions were the best we have had anywhere. If we go back to Ballito we would stay there again.

The pillows were to hard but were changed on request. When people left the pool area the waiters could have cleared glasses and plates away quicker. I hated the fact they have real glasses and crockery at the pool. Glasses were often broken and the consequences could have been serious. Plastic would be the best alternative.

Lovely hotel so close to the beach front. Very clean with excellent parking and security. Room service was very good and food was excellent.

There was a quite loud mechanical humming noise in our room that we couldn't quite pinpoint. It stopped when loadshedding arrived to be replaced by the generators starting up. There was also a rather loud obnoxious woman in the foyer cursing and arguing with people for a long time and we could hear her from our room. Maybe she should have been dealt with quicker as we were trying to sleep for an early flight in the morning, so not necessarily the hotel's fault.
