Some of the breakfast options portion sizes were quite small, although tasty. Mattress was too soft for us although I know that’s a personal preference. Property is a little rough around the edges with scuff marks, peeling paint on wooden window frame in the bathroom to our room, one of the sockets by the bed wasn’t working so couldn’t charge my phone there but could elsewhere in the room. I appreciate it’s an old building and probably listed but could do with a bit more TLC. However the positives definitely offset the slight negatives and we would stay there again :-)

Well appointed room and bathroom with lots of little extras on welcome tray. Public areas very tasteful and two lovely outside areas. Ambience fantastic. Setting within town beautiful. Very peaceful All staff extremely helpful and friendly. Without knowing at one point we were sat next to the manager discussing the "tent" experience on rear patio. Without being intrusive he explained who he was and was able to answer the queries we had about the "tent" - we then continued to have a very relaxed friendly chat about many other things. We had a meal in the evening which was delicious. Breakfast included in price with good variety of options. We think the cost of the stay was very reasonable. Overall lovely stay and would definitely return if in the area.

Although I have one or two manageable health considerations, I always feel safe and confident to travel and stay at The Fleece. The highly professional staff seem naturally gifted to make me feel supported and understood. They all take time to answer my questions, modify my menu choice, carry my bag up and down the stairs for me and guide me to my room. Comfort at The Fleece is excellent on every level. It is like staying with family. I have traveled and stayed at many hotels, yet truly, none compair to my exemplary experience at The Fleece.

The roomy accomodation was very cosy, warm and comfortable. Large bathroom/walk in shower with plenty of hot water. Good lighting options and plenty of mirrors, full length & smaller.. Large comfortable bed with the addition of a sofa & good size TV. Good selection of tea/coffee etc.

The addition of a mini fridge would have been fantastic, but not essential.

Breakfast and dinner were lovely. Room was spacious and view was great. Location was ideal as easy walk into Witney and good access for surrounding areas. Parking was a bonus as well. Staff were all friendly and attentive but not over the top.

Only very slight downside was cleanliness in the room, stains on walls and toilet roll holder falling off the wall. Wasnt enough to bring up on our stay though as didnt deter from what was a lovely night away.

Great location with excellent staff. Very comfortable large room with a particularly good bathroom. As with many establishments the windows couldn’t be opened and there was no air conditioning but there was a good sized fan - unfortunately I didn’t spot this until the morning! A good on-site restaurant and bar. 10/10 for the young lady who checked us into our room and proceeded to look after us in the restaurant, superb service.

The room was nice and big & a nice spacious shower. We had dinner the first nice and that was very tasty and a nice portion. We was able to park at the property which was good . I loved the reed diffuser in the bathroom and corridor I might even buy one .

Nothing really , I think the windows in our room could do with looking at as they where hard to open.

All round an amazing stay at The Fleece. Before we arrived I called to book for dinner which wasn't available for the time i wanted online but they made it happen and booked us in. When we arrived the car park was full. The manager asked where we had parked and then offered to move his own car so we could get in the car park. The room was lovely and had a nice view from our window. Dinner was absolutely amazing. Just wow and such a good menu to choose from. I also noticed someone on another table complementing the food saying that it wasnt just good, it was superb! Breakfast was equally 10/10. Will definitely be returning, we had a great stay.

Pillows weren’t comfy and needed a warmer duvet! No wifi. On leaving I was told I hadn’t paid my bill. Which I had at breakfast. On explaining that I had I was then asked to produce the receipt to prove that I had paid. This was quite intimidating. It would be better if staff communicated so your customers aren’t accused of something they hadn’t done.

Delightful pub/hotel, in a pretty market Cotswold market town. The Fleece serves excellent food, craft beers, in a typical country gastropub environment. Bedroom accommodation is comfortable, and protected from the pub noise below. Above all, the staff team are friendly, helpful, efficient, and enthiastic to please. We will be returning for a second helping !!
