pleseant staff, clean room, easy to find, lots of parking. Nice to read about the history of the place, and see the old parts of the building.

needed to put the extra electric radiator on as the central heating was on very low and the room and bathroom were chilly. Food was average. Veg stir fry had slithers of veg, mainly just noodles, salmon over cooked and breakfast eggs overcooked.

The email to remind us about our stay arrived 2 days later good job I had it on my calendar 🤣🤣 No one on reception when we left so put the keycard on the desk

room was comfortable and very clean, only problem was the view, it was of a brick wall which blocked the light out there was also wall paper coming away from the wall in various areas which made the room look a bit shabby, tv control was quite difficult to use for a control, could not work out how to get the tv guide up so really didnt know what was on.

Lovely hotel and excellent value for money. Staff very good and helpful. Lovely atmosphere and the food excellent. We were staying for a function and that was excellent as well. Beds Lovely and comfy. Look forward to my next visit. Thanks.

Unfortunately, we were woken at about 2.30 am by loud, angry people having an argument. I don't blame the hotel for their rude guests, who couldn't think of others, but it did go on for a while before they must have been told to be quiet. However, it was near Christmas and several functions on, so probably should of expected it and grateful only one incident. Didn't detract from the lovely atmosphere and great time we had.

I have been to this hotel many times over many years and more recently often eaten at the Stone and Ivy restaurant which is excellent in every way. Last night along with a group of friends I attended a Christmas Party night there. It was great fun we had such a lovely night and the food was amazing and it’s not an easy thing to pull off serving so many people at the same time but it was piping hot and delicious and the staff were so friendly. I live locally just a few miles away but decided to book a room and stay as a treat for myself. And what a treat it was I opened the door and was immediately wowed by the cleanliness it was immaculate. Even the tv remote was spotless ! It was a fab room with everything I would need, it had a lovely bathroom with a large modern shower. I had a great nights sleep and enjoyed a very tasty breakfast with lots to choose from. I’ve always loved Weston Hall hotel in fact my friends organised me a surprise brunch for my 60th birthday there. There is always a fantastic atmosphere with really friendly staff. Having finally stayed the night all I can say is it was wonderful, thanks to all concerned ! Joanne Carroll

Our room was so so hot and the thermostat would not turn off

Myself and daughter travelled from Wales for a family funeral. Our family lived local to the hotel, and the wake was being held there, so it made sense for us to stay there. We arrived early, and the lady at reception said it wouldn't be a problem to book in early. Just give them half an hour to sort it. We decided to get lunch in their dining room as we'd been up and on the go from 5.30 am and hadn't eaten! The young lady who waited on us was brilliant, Louise, she was efficient in helping with my daughters allergy and the chef came and had a chat with her about what he could do or adapt for her and even came up with a dessert that wasn't on the menu! Wonderful staff there! We didn't have time to finish our meal, and Louise said it wasn't a problem, we could have it later as room service. The wake that was catered for was exceptionally done. They were efficient in giving drinks on entry, and the food was well received. They respectfully and effectively cleared the empty glasses, cups, and plates in a very busy room. The room was a twin room with a double bed and a single bed. I asked for an accessible room, which it was. There was a walk-in shower. The bed was a little high for me but comfortable to sleep in, the mattress was firm and that's my preference for my joint problems. My daughter also said her mattress was firm and comfortable to sleep on. The shower was easy to use and had a good amount of water pressure and heat, also complimentary wash products which smelt nice. The room was warm, and there was a kettle, and with complimentary tea/coffee/milk, etc,

The only niggle really was the slight ramping/dips in the flooring that I didn't notice and kept tripping on, maybe a cautionary colour change or something to note the eye to say that they are there?! There also wasn't a toilet brush.

Accommodating our requests to be seated for breakfast away from other guests due to illness. Nothing was too much trouble.

Some bedroom furniture dated. Music noise from the restaurant at breakfast (7 am) which was below our room. This woke us up although this was rectified very quickly after being reported to Reception.

This was the second time I have stayed here for Crufts. Chosen because it is dog friendly and has plenty of outdoor space to walk the dog around. The staff are friendly and helpful and rooms are clean and comfortable. The food was really lovely too, the roast beef was delicious and very tender. I also brought my own throws/blankets to go on the beds due to bringing the dog with me.

Could do with a couple more dog poo bins, one near the front entrance, and one near the gate to the wooded area, as there was only one designated bin around the side of the hotel. As not only did I clean up after my own dog, I also picked up after others too and deposited other owners strewn about bags in the bin. My only other gripe, were the very loud and screaming children running around on Sunday night who were also banging about on the piano.

For a three star hotel, it was outstanding. The room was generous and the bathroom superb. The evening meals were top quality with a great, original and varied menu. Above all, the whole package- meals and room were exceptional value. Service was very good and the building and grounds - a former Manor House - were very pleasant.

The largely self service breakfast was OK, but did not match the standard of the evening meal. For example, freshly baked bread rather than the sliced processed type would have helped.
