This hotel is right in the middle of everything in Cozumel and right on the beach. Every room has a balcony and a view of the Caribbean. There are plenty of attractions, restaurants and stores within walking distance. And if you forgot ANYthing, there's a Mega store across the street.

Don't expect a spa experience. This is a basic hotel room with an incredible view and fantastic location. Bathroom amenities are non-existent. Bring your own shampoo, etc. The TV has only Spanish-language programming, but in Cozumel, who wants to watch TV?? There's music playing right outside your window, which - thankfully - stops at 10pm.

Access to grocery store right across the street and shopping all around. There is not an all inclusive fee so you have the ability to order food from the bar at half price or walk to local restaurants. Most rooms do not have kitchens but they do have small refrigerators.Access to the ocean right outside my building or choice of going in the pool. Great place to catch some amazing sunsets.

I wish the staff would have been a little more informative on rules and regulations upon check in. I was not aware of rules of eating or drinking by pool. However, staff was very nice in informing me. The cleaning team needed a little work on being thorough.

The location of this hotel is EXCELLENT. It is right on the water, with steps down to the ocean (snorkeling is pretty good). MEGA store and 24 hour taxi stand is across the street. It is a short walk to downtown. Between hotel and ocean is No Name Bar. Hotel guests get 50% discount there if they pay cash for meals and drinks. No Name has many tables, lounge chairs, and a swim up bar in the pool. All rooms have a balcony facing the ocean. Everyone is helpful and friendly.

If you want a fancy hotel that will cost you $300/night, you will be disappointed. We would have liked a coffeemaker in the room. There wasn't one, so we bought one at MEGA and enjoyed coffee on the balcony each morning. There was no icemaker, But our fridge had a freezer and ice tray, so we made all the ice we needed. If we spend a week in Cozumel again, we are going back to Hotel Barracuda.

The pool situation. Guests are encouraged not to use the pool unless they purchase drinks from a third party vendor. I have never experienced this before

Great location, right on the water. Dock is great for jumping i to the ocean. Excellent bar/restaurant/beac club. Comfortable beds. Good AC. Great breakfast place/beach club, Jeanie’s, next door. Excellent value.

No safe in room, have to leave valuables and reception and pay $1 USD for storage. This is an older property, the windows don’t seal, so the AC must run most of the time. Our balcony door quit locking a day into our trip, door swelled from the humidity, which was not a major issue as we were on the 3rd floor, but would have been a real problem on a lower floor. No elevator.

Our room this time was on the second floor. We had a great view of the Carribean. We felt safe at the Barracuda. The location to get to the downtown area was close. There are always taxis across the street from the Mega Store.

Barracuda added a few television stations in English. I'd like to have one news network in English as well.

I loved the hotel. Spotless, compy beds, helpful and friendly staff, price was reasonable. Just a few steps to the ocean, a simple snorkel to see beautiful colorful fish. Or relax in the pool. Guests get a 50 % discount on delicious food. Everything was tasty and flavorful. My room 101 had sreps right down to the Pool area.. the only thing I might mention is if your a lite sleeper ask for a room that is quieter. Didn't bother me because I can sleep through anything. Rooms have a mini fridge and right in front of the hotel is big grocery store. I would gladly stay here again

Beautiful view with a balcony to enjoy it from, ocean access, small beach to chill at, pool to swim in, 50% discount at restaurant & bar next door. Mega store across the street and walking distance from town.

The stairs, no elevator. Only truly bothersome with heavy luggage. Also seems the stair height everywhere in México is taller than the usual in U.S. Be careful coming downstairs if you have bad knees. WiFi is horrendous in the rooms. Decent in lobby.

Location is fabulous, rooms overlooking the water. Pool with swim up bar on site. Tons of great restaurants nearby, as well as a grocery store with ATM's right across the street.

The noise. Pool party blasting music virtually all day, and the rooms are nowhere near soundproof. Bed was OK but not great.

The location was excellent. The waitress staff and maid staff was excellent.

The front desk charged me more than the Booking amount at check-in. We had to catch the 7:00 ferry.. The front desk person locked the lobby and we could not leave the property... after 10 minutes he appeared and unlocked the doors...that was a little stressful
