My husband and I spent 3 nights at the HOTEL ROOSEVELT and were very pleased. It is just 1-1/2 miles from the historic center (we took a cab there and walked back), has fewer tourists, and is quieter. The room was small (as the rooms are at our budget level in France), but well-organized. It had windows that open and a nice view. The shower had lots of HOT water. There is an elevator. The breakfast was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. There are a number of good restauraannts and cafés nearby. The Lebanese one in the same block is outstanding. (Reservation recommended. It is very popular.) Interesting is that the hotel seems to have named for US 26th President THEODORE (Teddy—for which the bear was also named) and not FDR as many places in Europe are.

This hotel is very stylish, cute, in a good area and a handy parkade. Beds were comfortable. Overall we liked our stay, minus a few issues which had a big impact. Laundromat is just around the corner as well. Very walkable and close to shopping and food.

It was during a heat wave so we definitely chose this hotel based on it having air conditioning. The A/C did not cool our room even though we had it on high the whole time. The hallway was much cooler than the room, so it wasn’t just us. Cold air was coming out but at a bare minimum. I requested a fan after the first night and the gentleman at the desk said he’d send one up right away. It never arrived. We were sweaty the whole 2 nights. This was the only place on our 16 night tour that offered only instant coffee and no milk or creamer in the room. It was a nice hotel, we may have just had a bad room. Too bad when I requested the fan I didn’t get it at the very least, instead of the proper working A/C. The tile in the showers are super SLIPPERY too, so be aware.

The Roosevelt was a very nice hotel in a very city centred location. The car park was underground and secure, but costs €17. However, it's a city centre location, so you're going to pay for this no matter where you are. The room was perfect. Everything provided, and spacious. The reception staff were very helpful, and friendly, and made the stay even better. If I owned this hotel, I'd love to have these people in charge of my hotel.

The car park was a little small, but was almost empty when we were there. We initially found the car park hard to find, as it's at the back of the hotel on another street, but the hotel could detail out the exact location easily as a small improvement on their website. Other than that, there's nothing wrong with this hotel.

One of the nicest city hotels we've ever stayed at. Very stylish, and our room (on the 5th floor) had obviously been recently and very cleverly refurbished. It felt much bigger than it was thanks to the design of the built in unit of wardrobe, fridge (completely silent), and safe (that worked), while across the full length of the window a sort of worktop could be sat at while also providing space for luggage underneath. Wi-fi was lightning fast. There was a wide variety of very fresh food for breakfast. The car park under the hotel was very safe and secure, and accessible by elevator. Location was ideal - surrounded by lots of restaurants and interesting shops, and within walking distance of the centre of the city in one direction, and the Parc de Tete d'Or in the other, and major shopping centres. On the 5th floor we heard very little street noise. The staff were charming & helpful.

The air conditioning in the rooms couldn’t handle the summer temperatures. It was approximately 30 degrees Celsius when we stayed so it’s probably an unfair example

Comfortable, quiet hotel, easy to find and walkable distance from train station.

Minor thing, but they serviced our room (we put a please do not disturb out but they did it anyway) and left us with one bath towel and three hand towels. When I called to ask for another towel I had to go down to reception to collect it. Small thing but a bit annoying.

The central, but quiet location. Secure parking. Comfortable room & delightful staff. Breakfast is excellent & Magda's daily freshly made cakes are a real treat. We stayed four nights & were treated to a different flavour each day. Good local shops & access to metro, though central Lyon an easy 20 mins walk.

Room is bit small regarding to the price. Sound proof not perfect. Price a bit high during the Christmas season. Not breakfast included or the minibar.

Open cabin shower. The bathroom gets a bit flooded when you take a shower. Some construction work on the roof of the building in front of the hotel. Very noisy and brutal in the morning. The staff was helpful when I complain about the noise and gave me another room. But it’s not the hotel’s fault.

The hotel was very nice and offered a very good breakfast but we found it a little too far from the centre as we had a long walk to find transport but it was a pleasant neighborhood as an elderly person who it was not convenient
