Didn't expect the room to be good as it was only 1 night stay but to my surprise it was good and I guess the recent renovation made it look good and clean. Modern touch bed lamps, digital door locks, in room secondments (including inside fridge) price lists and Smart TV made it look modern

Not many and not big concerns but noticed few flaws like- 1- There is a step from room to the bathroom. 2- The bed is located on one side of L shape room where the the other end it was Air-conditioner. 3- The room was located on level one which need steps to walk with luggage. 4- Didn't receive any smile or good vibes when checking out. Seems to have a bad day.

This accomodation was beautiful!! It was spotlessly clean and very modern and affordable. The rooms are generous in size and every part was clean and dust free from the headboard, shower grout, shower shelf and cupboards! They have everything in offer that a 5 star hotel would have. Aesop brand bathroom creams and hand wash on offer make this feel extra special. Well done to the hotel stall for a standard above the rest ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

You can hear the road noise from within the rooms. Maybe a few more towels and additional bathmat available in the room but staff are available till past might yo supply if you ask. (I was only staying one night so could be why there wasn’t more in my room).

The room was amazing. The staff had left the heater on so it was wonderfully warm when I arrived. The location of the hotel is perfect, right in the middle of the city. The set up of the room was so unexpected. It made me feel like I’d won on this booking. So lovely, clean and the staff were welcoming.

The only negative was the bed. It was too hard, I didn’t sleep a full night in the three nights I was there. This is the only thing from making me hesitate about staying there again. I’ve two more trips back the Mt. Gambier coming up, and I’d love to return to the hotel, but I’m not sure.

We liked the comfortable large bed (size of two singles), spacious room, cleanliness, and general thoughtfulness of the layout and tasteful furnishing of the room. Bathroom was clean and spacious with generous and good quality toiletries. Room also had tea/coffee making facilities. Travelling with our dog, the 'pet room' was ideal for our girl to be with us as she would be at home, A small to medium sized dog bed is provided as well as a couple of feeding bowls. The location was at the centre of town, easily found with ample parking behind the hotel. There are even a couple RAA EV charging stations available in the carpark. Restaurants, cafes, fast food and supermarkets and all sorts of retail shops all within a few minutes walking distance. Cave Garden / Thugi diagonally opposite the hotel on the main road crossing. Check-in was fast and easy. We stayed during the week in July and found it was a warm and peaceful nights stay in the air-conditioned room. Would most definitely choose to stay here again.

There ia nothing we didn’t really like. The only negative in our opinion is that it is a pity there is no lift up to the rooms which are all on the first floor, I was travelling with someone elderly and this just made accessing the room a bit of àn extra effort with luggage and all. However, this was made clear at the time of booking so no surprises there.

The room was spacious, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Walking in the first thing we saw was a magnificent oil painting opposite the door - as art lovers we found this a lovely touch. The room service menu was so good we gave in to temptation to stay in for dinner and had absolutely no regrets; our meals were delicious.

There is no elevator so hauling suitcases up stairs wasn’t fun; but to be fair we were warned in advance this was the case and it’s a heritage building so there’s not much that can be done about that.

The food in the restaurant was excellent The room was great, the bed was comfortable, except for the squeaky floorboards, but thats to be expected in an old hotel. Would definitely come back again.

We came in off the main street and had to go around through restaurant to register. We then had to go outside and use stairs outside to enter the accommodation, walk through a gym area then through a long corridor to get to our room. We could have actually used the staircase inside the hotel to get to our room which was just at the top of the stairs, bit strange.

Checkin is at the bar, all went fine. There's a big parking lot you can use behind the hotel. There was a slight mishap with our room, which was however handled in a very professional way and immediately corrected. The room is quite large and rather new, with a big bathroom and ample space for our luggage. We enjoyed the restaurant downstairs with a nice choice of wines and there's also the possibility to order a breakfast in the morning. The location is right in the middle of downtown, perfect to walk around the city but the rooms are really quiet, even though the main road is just next to the hotel. Loved the town itself, there's a lot of history here, but also interesting geology in downtown and close by with the lakes. Worth a stop.

This being a historic hotel there's no elevator - you have to drag your luggage up the stairs unfortunately.

Really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is historic but the rooms are renovated to an extremely high standard, very beautiful but also comfortable. The location is perfect: as central as you can get, metres from restaurants and café's and a short drive to tourist sites. Parking is free at the rear of the building. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The only small disappointment was our dining experience, as the seafood (in a marinara) was quite unfresh and almost dry.

A gorgeous hotel with friendly staff. From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed. We stayed in a Superior King Room which was huge and the decor was modern. The bathroom was amazing! Central and within walking distance to the main street and a short drive from the touristy things!

We booked dinner in the restaurant at 7pm and the dish we wanted was sold out so that was disappointing.

The room was beautiful for one night as small, there was no window or balcony. Very clean modern room, beautiful bathroom, great shower. Good location.

Ordered the muesli with yougurt and fruit for breakfast. So disappointed as it wasn't muesli just dry raw oats with little bit of yougurt and very few berries. I am not normally a complainer, but for $15.90, it was disgusting. So if you want proper muesli don't order as you will be ripped off and disappointed.
