We booked the deluxe studio and it was amazing! Beautiful!!! Fireplace, gas stove, oven, fully stocked with essentials, tile with LVP, comfy beds, bright high ceilings, gorgeous bathroom.

The only thing that happened was that it slightly smelled of gas when we got in. We went to the beach and when we came home it really smelled bad of gas. We tried to locate the leak and we were 99 percent sure it was the fireplace. The manager came in, smelled it too and was wonderful in getting us a new room. We did have move at 8:30 at night to an ADA cabin which wasn't near as nice as the studio. There also wasn't any talk of compensation for this mishap. they were airing the studio out this morning and working on it when we left It will not keep us from coming back! The property was amazing! Will be back!

Pacific Grove is our favorite place for a getaway. Nothing touches the beauty of this coastline! Beauty at very turn...the ocean's moods, the Cypress trees and the quaint town of Pacific Grove. The MPI is our favorite place, in our favorite place!

Bed too soft...we prefer a firm mattress. Even so, not a deal breaker.

We rented a family bungalow for our family of 5. The fact that you don't share a wall with neighbors is nice. The beds were super comfortable, and the location and staff were great. Loved they had an outdoor fire pit and jacuzzi. Also, they are pet friendly, which was important to me. Would definitely recommend staying here again.

My only complaints about the room is that the set up of the bathroom is a little weird. The bathroom is small, and so is the shower. Plus, the sink is not in the bathroom. You have to come out and go into the other little space that has a sink and the mini fridge. These spaces are what separates the second bedroom. It's just a different configuration. This wouldn't deter me from staying here again though.

Hotel was very good: friendly and helpful personal, not very new but clean rooms and all facilities were in order. Everyday cleaning, coffee and tea at the reception and hot water whenever you need. Location is just 5 min walk to the Asilomar state beach and trail. A bit far from the city centre and touristic attractions but it might be a Plus, depending on what you are looking for. Highly recommend staying here.

Hotel is close to entertainment and restraunts. Good value for the price. Was only disappointed with check in time. We thought it was 3 but apparently is 4 and room wasn't ready untill then. Have stayed many times here though and staff is always very friendly and accommodating.

Our room, this time, had no counter space in bathroom or near coffee pot. Not convenient when grooming or when trying to prepare coffee.

We have stayed at the Monterey Peninsula Inn many times over the past 20 years and we keep coming back because of the value, the location and the overall good treatment we have had from staff. This time, we couldn't get the wall furnace to turn on. We called the front desk and the lady who responded discovered that the thermostat battery was dead and she quickly replaced it. Later, the fan in the bathroom wouldn't run and the electrical plug in the bathroom was dead. The young man who responded to our call simply pushed the reset button on the plug unit and everything was working. In both cases the staff responded quickly, was very pleasant and didn't make the "old folks" feel stupid. The bed was very comfortable.

My wife always remarks to me that the layout of the bathroom was obviously designed by a man. There are no shelves to put any toiletries or shaving articles on. My wife put her bottles and tubes on the window sill and I put my shaving items, tooth brush, etc. on the toilet tank cover. She also suggests that you need to put a hook inside the bathroom door on which to hang a bath robe.

well, the only thing that I didn't like is that for pieces of jewelry were ruined. I have been in many many hot tubs Mexico, Hawaii , cruises a lot of places I got into this hot tub and it completely ruined 4 Rings and an ankle bracelet, stripped it out the beautiful silver came out charcoal black so I would say that you should probably post some thing saying do not wear your jewelry into the hot tub because mine were completely ruined. Other than that everything was perfectly wonder

Location was close to asilmar state beach and convenient for morning walk but little far from downtown. The room was spacious and comfortable. Liked separate full bed room for privacy with kids who stayed in other room with two queen beds.

Breakfast was not provided even at this price. The bathroom access for main room is through other bedroom which is awkward. Could have separate bathroom for main room guests. The location is little far from downtown.

Monterey is our favorite place to visit but can be pricey. We have found the MP is the perfect location, clean, super friendly staff, and affordable. The rooms are big, shower water is hot, and bed is comfy. We have done their cheapest room and their upgraded room with a kitchen. It's worth the upgrade if you can afford it!

The cheaper room didn't have air conditioning and we ran a fan the whole time. ( can be kinda loud )

The Monterey Peninsula Inn exceeded my expectations. The owners really invested in upgrades to the rooms and it shows. We rented a room with a full kitchen and it was lovely. High ceilings, comfortable beds and a working stove. Exactly what we were looking for! There is a fire pit outside and a hot tub. Plus the Inn is only 4 minutes from the Monarch butterfly garden!

This is not a resort. There is no central indoor space to hang out with kids etc., but it's a great value for what it provides. Most of the properties in this area are inns like this one (think 1950's).
