Location was great, close to ocean and center of town. Safe area. Quiet neighborhood except they were building a house across the street. Noisy in the morning but I realize that won’t last forever and not the hotel’s fault. The full kitchen had everything we needed, the large deck/balcony was a great place to play card games, enjoy drinks and just relax. The fireplace offered great ambiance. Very cozy inviting space. This was like an apartment in size. Very roomy. Covered “garage” for parking. Because it was so nice, we stayed in our room more than we ever have when on vacation.

The website advertises breakfast included which is 1 of the 2 reasons I chose this place. It was a continental breakfast which is not breakfast. Pastries and cereal is not breakfast. The website needs to specify its continental or that is false advertising. Would not have booked this hotel if I knew it wasn’t really a full breakfast. We needed that. The actual room was outstanding! Could not have asked for more in that regard. 10 out of 10. Loved it!!!

We've stayed here before so we knew what to expect. We stayed in a suite which is quite nice for a couple and children who can sleep on a hide-a-bed. The suite has a lot of space, regular size kitchen with full size fridge and cooking stove, full bathroom and a good size safe. There are two TVs though within hearing distance of each other. The room was clean and fresh. The fireplace was a nice touch on the cold evenings. It's not to far a walk to the beach area and near the Fishwife which is one of our favorite PG restaurants.

The room is very dated and could use new carpeting and a paint job. The bottom sheet on the bed did not fully cover the top of the mattress and kept creeping up and coming untucked on the sides. The front counter folks were not the friendliest but did ultimately comply with our requests. The other service staff were very friendly. The kitchen could use a few large bowls and kitchen towells. It is quite a walk to the downtown part of Pacific Grove from this location.

The staff was friendly, the room was pretty clean, parking was nice because we had a designated spot right in front of our room, the grounds were beautiful, breakfast was fine (nothing too exciting- waffles, microwaveable sandwiches, bagels, fruit cups, etc but no eggs or bacon or anything really fresh and hot like that.), the rooms were quite private because it almost looked like apartments that had been converted into hotel rooms, and lastly it was close enough to the tourist stuff like the aquarium and cannery row but far enough away that we didn’t have to worry about crime or tons of people and traffic.

Our room was just okay. The bathroom looked like it had recently had construction done or something, there was a lot of unfinished things like nail holes in stuff, drywall dust or caulk powder all over the doors and walls, the shampoo dispenser was missing so we only had a conditioner dispenser in our bathroom, we ended up getting a handicap room (I think we booked the last room available) so it didn’t have a bathtub, only a large walk in shower but the shower curtain wasn’t great, the shower pressure was weird because of the set up they had with multiple shower heads, and lastly the bed wasn’t super comfortable. It wasn’t very firm at all. I just didn’t feel very comfortable in general, honestly. But for the money, location, free breakfast, etc. it wasn’t a bad experience.

The location is exquisite, in a residential neighborhood and right next to an old rail line that is now a walking path. 10 minute walk along this trail to the monarch butterfly sanctuary , or 15 minute walk through the asilomar convention grounds to the asilomar state beach. Breakfast was simple but had enough of a variety. weekend spread had sausage egg sandwich in addition! The room is a gem, the best Best Western we have ever stayed at.

No housekeeping services even though we stayed for 3. Nights. After the 2nd night of no housekeeping, we requested and the front desk took note, however still no housekeeping. So I had to clear out the bins myself and go to the front desk to switch out towels at the end of the day.

The location of the room was fine and we were able to park our car in the garage. We didn't have the breakfast but it looked like there was a good variety. The bed was comfortable and there was very fast hot water.

We requested a certain room months before our stay and we didn't get it. The bathroom light also turned on the fan so it was very noisy and we couldn't hear each other. The couch in all of the suites is very uncomfortable. Every tenant we had above us was very noisy either with lots of teenagers running up and down the stairs or people clomping upstairs with their shoes on.

This hotel is a converted condominium site, and as such, there were many room options .We chose the largest king suite and were very pleasantly surprised how large and roomy it was. There was a full kitchen, living room and large bedroom with two patios and two tv's. It was very clean. It would remind you of a 80s condo in the mountains, with nice rock features, an inviting fireplace and autumnal looking carpets and color schemes. It's perfect decor for the woodsy, Pacific Grove area where the hotel is located. If you are are looking for a bright minimalist modern hotel, this is not the one for you

The only thing that I would suggest to the management is to go to each of the rooms with some dark stain and hide the nicks to the furniture, easily done.

Room was very spacious and comfortable. Location was great for everything we wanted to do.

Breakfast in a bag was not ideal when we were paying $248 a night. We are senior citizens and had to carry our bags and coffees and juices back to the room and up the stairs and it was not convenient I thought that was a real rip off! Then we had to heat our own breakfast. Feel the price of the room should have been adjusted greatly for this.

Felt more like a home than a hotel. Multiple buildings with private floor for each room, top room had vaulted open beam ceiling. Garages for parking, beautiful area close to town and beaches.

I didn't care for the statues of eastern god/goddess... I know it represents "peaceful" to some, but there's no need for that. It's peaceful enough, and my peace comes from Jesus and from nature itself, not Buddha or Krishna or any other false idols.

Because we had to cut our trip short due to the power outage, the hotel worked with Booking.com and refunded our money for the last night's stay. Thank you!

Through no fault of the hotel, we lost power during the latest storm on the Thursday evening. The next morning, the power was out, no internet, and no cell phone service. We ended up leaving a day early. The power was out until 9:00 pm on Saturday.

The room was spacious and comfortable.the hotel is located a short drive from Carmel and Monterey. The hotel looks like a residential street which is nice. Breakfast was good and free.

No air conditioning in the room. There was a ceiling fan and luckily the weather did not require air condition. The carpet in the room and in the hall is old and doesn’t give a ‘clean feeling’.
