We spent there 6 days and enjoyed our stay very much. The room is clean and quiet. The bed is big and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The check-in/check-out procedure is very simple day and night. You can store your luggage there. Metro station a few minutes away (use the station at Lenox Ave, not at Lexington). Good places to eat at Lenox Ave (eg Jucery Harlem is ideal for breakfast). The neighbourhood is safe, contrary to some stereotypes about Harlem. The room is good value for money.

The booking process and checking in went very well, the staff is very accommodating and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable, and it looks like the fixtures and everything was quite new. The location is close to different subway options, including the express lines 4 and 5 that take you to Midtown in just a few stops. Harlem is a vibrant and beautiful historic neighborhood.

Sound does travel a bit between rooms and between the hallway and the room, which does not bother me but if you are sensitive to that you might want to bring ear plugs. The bathroom could use another little hook to hang your hand towel near the sink. The water pressure and temperature was a little on the low side (but totally acceptable).

We spent very little time here, as we were exploring mostly. Easy check in and out out of hours and reception staff very friendly. We hired a car to explore Hudson River area, and free parking was no problem. 5-10minute walk to a metro that took us everywhere else. Beds very comfy, rooms were just what we needed travelling with 2 teens, and far more affordable than the more touristy areas. Room had a fridge too.

The staff was very helpful. When we missed our flight, and were in stress, the staff was so kind and tried to help us where she could!! She made our day by helping us with a room for one more night. Also, they ordered everything in the small room in a smart way so there was still everything you need.

It's a small room, with.a small bed, but that's normal in Manhattan for such a price.

Site listed "coffee maker" and "hair dryer" as the only amenities, so I was pleasantly surprised to find a refrigerator and microwave, as well as iron and ironing board. There were 2 real mugs instead of foam cups, and an extension cord with USB ports. TV had streaming options as well as cable channels, but no instructions for how to use. So I was able to watch Netflix the first night, but couldn't get to it the next day. Location was great for me, as I was visiting a friend in a care facility in Harlem. It was a quick bus ride to go see him. There is a BP gas station just steps away on the corner, convenient for snacks. Even though I saw a message that there was no service for the room unless requested, I came back to find my wet towels and washcloths gone, and a fresh stack was delivered later. The toiletries were "fancy" organic soap and shampoo with a nice but mild scent. Hangers were wooden, not cheap wire or plastic. Beautiful modern look with black and white tile in bathroom and wood floors in the rest of the room. Loved that I had one red brick wall in my room. Windows let in lots of light, and there are both venetian blinds and blackout curtains.

no carpeting means no sound insulation, so I could hear conversations from the room next door as well as from the check in desk. No dresser or closet, just a wall rack with a closet rod for hanging. Power seemed weak; my phone was slow charging and my electric kettle took longer to heat up than it does at home in Virginia. Front desk does not open until 10 am.

Good value for money of course, the lady at the reception was kind, if you need fresh towel there is no problem, there is everything what you need to sleep well, comfortable bed, a lot of electrical outlets… dryer… you can leave your luggage … etc

You can hear everything and everybody can hear you; shower gel pad - it’s a bit gross; I mean neighborhood wasn’t most familiar - but you know where you’re coming

The room was a great size and immaculate, perfect for our trip. There was an issue in the room which was identified and rectified by the property management in a professional manner. The staff were friendly and helpful. There is plenty of shops and food within walking distance.

There is a lot of street/train noise throughout the day and night, it didn't bother us after long days of sightseeing, but light sleepers may want to bring earplugs. There is no lift and a steep set of stairs to the from doors, so bring your muscles or travel light! The subway is a little walk away to get the downtown route.

Very nice hotel and clean. In the room there were a mini fridge, an owen and a coffe machine with coffe and tea. They also provided bath products. It's on Harlem, 129 th street, easy to arrive with Subway.

All good, but to say someting: Some days we didn't have coffee refill and because the front desk doesn't open till 10.00h we couldn't ask for it.

Property was clean, quiet, and the right temperature. Despite the busting area, the sub-level room I stayed in remained really nice and quiet- bar the occasional train horn! Staff were friendly and just all around brilliant. Beds were comfy. Exceptional value for the money! Right next to the train station too.

Nothing at all, the only downside is that the area at night can feel a little threatening, especially to certain groups.

Upon entering my room, I was immediately pleased with the cleanliness as well as spaciousness of it. It was bright and airy, and beyond comfortable for me. I did run into one issue. In that area, the owner/manager exceeded my expectations in rectifying the issue that I had and went even further to ensure that I was satisfied on a personal level. That additional extra step means everything to me. I will absolutely be staying here again based on the dedication to guest satisfaction that was shown. Sometimes, we are treated as if we don't really matter and this experience with The Park Ave North ensuring maintaining consistent communication and efficacy in rectifying things blew me away. It was an amazing experience to feel both seen and heard, as well as to have follow up. I am incredibly grateful and recommend them without hesitation to anyone visiting NY.

There was no hot water when I arrived. Initially, I was told by staff that there was nothing that they could do, however; the owner/manager was able to rectify things in a very timely manner once they were informed of my problem.
