The cat! And one of the workers was extremely nice, funny and helpful. We enjoyed her.

One of the workers couldn’t or wouldn’t speak English to us, which itself was not the problem. But the problem was that we had accidentally let the cat outside. The worker seemed very panicked about it. That was very uncomfortable. It was the communication difficulty related to the cat escape that bothered us because we didn't understand if that was permitted or normal. We tried to help get the cat back inside. Luckily, he eventually came back. But I would recommend more information re: whether the cat is allowed to go outside.

We were confident the hotel would be perfect for us given the excellent reviews online. The staff was most welcoming and helpful with information of area, restaurants, etc. The photos are very accurate. It was 39C all day yet the room was nice and comfortable. They don't have A/C (historical site and can't be changed) but the tower fan in room was just perfect. IN afternoon we opened huge windows in room to look out on their garden with total privacy. Only thing that could have increased our pleasure would have been a cup of coffee available in room (nespresso type) first thing in morning. Highly recommend and we'll definitely be back. Oliver the cat rules the hotel.

Location very good, short walk to the town, parking great and hotel provided a key access system to a gated entrance and main door. Wonderful old house with a quirky interior, nice lounge to relax in, bed very comfortable...breakfast was excellent with a quality selection of bread pastries, cold meats cheeses, yoghurt and a nice selection of extras e.g. nuts prunes, fruit, jams all appeared locally sourced.

We very much enjoyed our stay and for us relaxing in the lounge after an evening in town was great....but it would have been nice to have enjoyed a "night cap". It's probably difficult to arrange but possibly a small drinks cabinet relying on visitors honesty to sign out drinks would be very welcome.

We could work around it but better if clearer about checking times and that gates are locked between 12 and 14.00 hoursceach day so you need to check in before or after that. Once you have the keys after check in then it is absolutely fine to get in and out.

This is a very pretty property when you first enter the gates. Our room and en-suite bathroom were large, quite and well furnished. The location is good a short walk 10mins to centre, restaurants and Avenue de Champagne. Secure parking is a bonus. Valerie was lovely and informative, good easy check in. The breakfast in the morning was very good. Fresh fruits, cereals, pastries, Jams, meats and breads along with a boiled egg on request. We would recommend this hotel for a stay Epernay.

This hotel feels truly French in a wonderful and authentic way. Each room is differently designed but equally gorgeous. There’s a lovely cat who greets you at the hotel and it’s run by two lovely women. This hotel exceeded our expectations from the photos and the listing - we would absolutely stay there again.

Beautiful old building and our room was very pretty although on the small side. Breakfast was delicious and staff were friendly. Great location, steps away from the main Champagne houses.

Our bed slumped in the middle. Old mattress probably. Made for an uncomfortable nights sleep. It was quite pricey for the facilities. You are paying for location I suppose but it’s still too expensive, especially as breakfast is €18 each on top.

Not a complaint - but there was some confusion about notification of our late arrival. I had requested this as part of the initial booking, but apparently this was not confirmed with the host at the property and we were unable to respond to enquiries from her during the day as we were traveling. However, Marcella was very patient and obliging with us and the issue was resolved. Maybe this could be managed better?

A very pleasant stay. Our room was of a good size and well presented. The bathroom facilities worked well. The hotel is conveniently tucked away behind Moet & Chandon's chateau and cellars and is only 5 minutes from the town centre. Plentiful on site parking.

We were disappointed with Epernay itself as there were few good reasonably placed restaurants, Visitors deserve better and had we appreciated this in advance we would probably stayed in Reims.

The house is lovely, our bedroom was beautiful with a fabulous shower! The car parking here is such a bonus, with the gates closed for security at night. Breakfast was generous with a great buffet and boiled eggs.

My husband would have loved some bacon for breakfast as an extra. Not a complaint but a suggestion……..
