Great locations, right in front of a metro exit and close to a bus stop. It's a direct line from Haneda airport. Lots of conbini and restaurants nearby. walking distance from Sensō-ji and Akihabara. The staff is nice and helpful. the ones I interacted with all spoke english. Our room and bathroom was spacious and cleaned everyday, the beds were confortable. We were in the top floor, so we had a very nice view of Tokyo Skytree.

The huge tv was useless. there was an option to mirror your device, but it was impossible to use. We tried a samsung tablet, and ipad and iphone but it disconnects after a few minutes.

The property has a fantastic location that’s near train stations, konbinis, and even 24/7 restos (eg Sukiya). There’s even a drug store just across (I had a migraine attack during my stay and I was thankful I didn’t need to go far to get painkillers). If you’re into running, you can head to the riverside for a pretty scenic run. Room had enough space to open 2 luggages on the floor which I appreciate. You can store them under your bed after you nest. All info you need, including check-out reminders are on the TV screen which I found super convenient. They also provide a new set of toiletries every other day. There’s also a washing machine and dryer downstairs as well as a small store for snacks and other items. Ice is free as well. Checking in and out was a breeze via a machine, but there’s also the staff who can assist you. I left my luggage at the hotel in the morning after checking out and continued exploring the Asakusa area before my flight. Getting to Narita is just 2 train rides away if I’m not mistaken which was very convenient. Would definitely book again if I’m back in the area.

* The staff is amazing. 5 stars for all of them. * The room and the bed were very comfy. * The check-in and check-out processes were very easy and fast. You can do everything by yourself. * The information showed in the TV.. cleaning day, check-out day, the weather forecast, etc.

* The building has only one elevator and during the peak times, the guests have to wait a little longer. * The stairs are outside of the building. I had to use them when people were working on the elevator and it wasn't available. And it was raining. The washing machine is too expensive. Ok. It already includes the detergent, but even though... 500 ienes is too much.

The room, although small, was very clean and well-equipped with a desk, fridge and kettle. Fresh towels and supplies were left at my door daily. The room's heating and cooling was very responsive. My room was very bright, with two windows and a nice view. The bed and quilt were the comfiest I have ever slept in at any hotel or at home! Bliss! The staff were lovely. The location was excellent - quiet, but right next to Kuramae station, with easy access from there to Asakusa and the Ginza line for the airports, Shibuya, Ueno and other places. Short walking distance to many kombini, cafes and restaurants, and near the river. Lots of sights like Senso-ji shrine nearby. I would definitely stay here again. I loved the 9 days I spent here, and I never lacked things to do.

Nothing! It was great!

The hotel was excellent and great for value of money. Even though the rooms were smaller, the attention to detail and the maximising of space made it very comfortable and cosy. It had all the amenities you needed, and is in very short walking distance to 24 marts, eateries, and train stations. We walked to various locations with no issues in Asakusa (Tokyo Sky Tree and Senosji Temple). Most trains also stopped at the Kuramae Station which was right opposite this hotel! This made it extremely easy once we arrived! Staff were great and professional. If you’re looking for a low budget option as a couple, this hotel might be for you.

The Asakusa Kuramae Ekimae APA Hotel offers a comfortable stay at a great value for money. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the service and state of the rooms is as exceptional as you would expect from a hotel of this category.

What we didn't know when we booked our stay but wished we knew beforehand: Toshio Montoya, the owner of the APA Hotel chain, is a well-known right-wing conspiracy nut with a penchant for antisemitism and historical revisionism (such as the denial of Japanese WW II atrocities like the Nanking massacre). So be prepared for weird pamphlets written by the boss himself lying around in your room... If this does not bother you, go ahead, it certainly is not the employees' fault who all did a great job.

Staff were very helpful. I needed to extend my stay by one day, and they helped me quickly. They change sheets/clean once in three days, which is also great. Provides fresh supplies (towels, cups, coffee packets etc.) daily. Good facilities for a small-sized room. Breakfast had both dining and take-away options. Its' at a separate café, around 100m away but it was very convenient and staff was very helpful. The neighbourhood is very quiet, and calming and there are few good sight-seeing opportunities nearby Asakusa. Enjoyed my stay.

Nothing. Everything was just as I hoped for. I wished I could spend some more time here in Japan.

APA Hotels are probably one of the best options in Tokyo in terms of value for money. This particular hotel is located right across Kuramae train station so you won't miss it. Lots of restaurants and supermarkets are in the area, and it's about 20 min walk to Sensoji temple. The room had anything one might need (I even spotted a disposable hair clip!) and despite the size it was designed pretty well with an extra space under the bed for your luggage. The room lighting and AC control panel is built in bedhead which is really convenient. My room faced a busy street and yet I didn't have any trouble sleeping at night and I'm a light sleeper. Staff was friendly and helped me with checking in and out (they have machines for that). They can also keep your luggage for free but keep in mind that early check-in is charged 1000¥ per hour.

I found some crumbs under my bed when I checked in which sort of surprised me as the rest of the room was perfectly clean.

The locations is brilliant, right opposite the hotel is metro station so very convenient. There is another station which was 6 mins way which connected to most of the major lines so that was also very good. Next to the hotel are convenient stores so if you dont opt for breakfast, you can always buy from there. Lawson is 2 mins away so all in all location is perfect. They have washing machines and microwave in common areas

The room size is small but this is not only for this hotel, its a norm in Japan. However they have everything required in the room. We had a friend who was traveling with a 5 years old child and it was tight for 3 of them to stay in that room.

This hotel has easy access to public transportation. Both Narita and Haneda Airports are 1 train ride away. It still has a front desk with attentive, helpful and professional staff! It is neat and tidy even on a rainy day!

It would have been perfect if I got the room with a view 😊
