Booked the hotel for a wedding near by for my partner and my self and separately my brother booked too. Wasn’t too sure what to expect as is on a main road and really good priced however it exceeded my expectations. Staff are very welcoming and friendly, pub is welcoming and well set out. Rooms are really big for hotel rooms with very comfortable beds, big tv and lovely and warm. Blackout curtains were ideal too and there was very minimal noise from the road. Breakfast included was great too, continental on offer with a great selection and catered well for allergies. Overall amazing prize for what you get and a well run pub that I would throughly recommend.

great easy to find location suited us well. good localsupplier recommendations (taxi). fantastic value for good well serviced good sized rooms. management very flexible and all the staff we met had a great welcoming approach. I would defer mutely use again.
this property has been pitched at a great vfm offering so difficult to suggest improvements without accepting a rate increase. but I would pay more for an expanded breakfast offering but accept for so few rooms it could be prohibitively expensive. so on balance a great vfm stay but with a great host and team.

The Windmill is a gem for those wanting a comfortable, homely stay, conveniently located for road trips in the north and beyond. The pub is well stocked, beautifully decorated and has a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff were fantastic. They kindly rang to warn us that their chef had gone home due to a family emergency and offered to pay for our meals should we order in! A fantastic continental breakfast was laid out the following morning. Being so close to the M6, a little road noise is to be expected. We slept well despite having our window open. Brilliant value for money and a very pleasant experience.

Welcomed by very friendly and attentive hosts Kelly and Paul who made the stay like staying with friends. Good hearty food with substantial portions. Good sized bedroom with everything you need supplied, tea/coffee making facilities and pristine white bedding and towels and a nice hot shower.
If you want peace and quiet this may not be for you as it is very close to the M6 and other arterial roads that carry lots of traffic at all times. However you soon get used to it and this was the only negative I could find. Far outweighed by the rest of the experience and it wouldn't put me off staying again.

The owners were very welcoming and even went out their way to cater for us travelling up from Cornwall and therefore being alot later arriving than planned. Room was much bigger than expected, was clean and had everything we could need. Easy to come and go as we pleased. Quiet and peaceful, no rowdiness which unfortunately you can have in other types of accommodation. No complaints from us. Will definitely look to use in the future when in the area.
If had to choose something, I would only say the heating was too much for us, but nothing opening a window, turning off the radiator and using the fan provided couldn't resolve. So all in all pretty miniscule and really doesn't affect us recommending this place for a lovely stay.

Paul and Kelly were very welcoming and did everything they could to make our stay easy and enjoyable, including organizing an additional night on our return to Manchester airport before our drive back to Scotland. The hotel itself is quaint and homely and the food in the restaurant was great after a long drive. I had lasagne and it was very cheesy and the portion was hearty! Great location not far from the motorway and the room was comfortable and had a nice big bath in it.
Can't fault anything for the price.

I had no idea what to expect and booked 2 nights due to close ease of motorway and getting to my pals' wedding in Altrincham. On evening arrival, I was greeted by Paul, and was offered a sandwich which he brought up to my room and later on heater within seconds of me asking for extra room heat. Both mornings, I met Kelly and had a delicious continental breakfast to fill me up and got me through until my pal's wedding dinner that evening. Kelly and Paul are really excellent hosts, running a great wee hotel and bar, catering to whatever you need, and give great banter to lighten up your stay. I would highly recommend staying here.

Welcoming, warm and friendly hostess and host. Hard working, client focused, good front of house skills. Property is an efficiently run business, well presented. Excellent and recommended. Food was great, public areas were very clean, comfortable and well organised.
The room had a background smell but it might have just needed a good airing or possibly there was something else, maybe a damp carpet?

The B&B is in a good location for Tatton Park and Knutsford. The bar area is very welcoming with great staff. We ate in the bar Friday evening which was really good. There was a good choice on the menu with good service. The continental breakfast was good and served at a suitable time. What we did like was how easy it was to come and go as we pleased. All of the staff we met were very welcoming and really helpful. Simple check in and check out process. Good B&B for the price we paid.
We stayed in room 5, pleasant room but could do with a refresh.

The bar/restaurant area is absolutely beautifully decorated! Love the Xmas trees!! The bedroom decor and bathroom are in need of updating, The managers seem to love the pub/hotel but are definitely restricted by the landlords. The bed was amazing and bed linen felt new and clean. We were made to feel very welcome and noting was to much trouble. We would definitely come back!!
The upstairs needs some updating but noting particular off putting.
