During our two-day stay at the hotel in Hythe, UK, we had an experience that exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed. The hotel’s facilities are exceptional, combining comfort and modernity. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-decorated, creating a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. The common areas, including the lounge and restaurant, offer an inviting ambiance and high-quality services. The pool and sauna are excellent additions, providing great options for relaxation and leisure. We would like to particularly mention Shane, who works at the reception. Despite having been at the hotel for just a week, Shane demonstrated a remarkable level of attentiveness and professionalism. He was courteous, helpful, and always available to ensure our stay was as pleasant as possible. Shane’s dedication significantly contributed to the quality of our experience at the hotel. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a visit to Hythe. In addition to the excellent facilities, the commitment of the staff, particularly Shane, ensures a memorable stay. We especially thank Shane for his contribution to making our visit so enjoyable.

Nice selection of hot items. Would have like fried eggs in the buffet, rather than scrambled eggs. Food was tasty.

Breakfast buffet was presented in dishes with loose lids, which had to be removed, so had to put my plate down each time to add an item. If busy this would be a problem. Roll-top dishes would solve this. Very limited selection of cheese (just a few slices) & same for ham. Expected a better choice for hotel of this size. Croissants were not fresh, as quite tough.

The view from the hotel is beautiful, the sea view is always a must but then the view of the gardens is very pleasant, The staff are very pleasant, especially the reception staff,so friendly and nothing is ever too much to ask for. Our cleaner was very helpful too. We ate in the bar and very much enjoyed our food, the spa massage was lovely Hollie is very good. We will visit again as it is so relaxing and the bed is very comfortable.

The champagne bar only being open from nearer the weekend. A sachet of hot chocolate in your room would be nice too. A book of advertising local places to visit would be nice. Maybe a half-board package too

It was by the sea and conveniently located with a big car park. The room was spacious and clean. The staff were helpful and attentive. Timings for breakfast were good. Bathroom was lovely and big. Bed was nice and comfy. It was easy to find.

I had emailed booking.com as my Mum passed and therefore I wanted to change some aspects of the room. No reply. I thought the breakfast was mediocre and perhaps could have been more choice of pastries, bread and maybe a fruit salad. It was expensive for a buffet. You can't have breakfast in your room which I would have preferred as a solo traveller.

Everything was great. Good meal in the bar with plenty of choice. We had a problem with the allocated room as it was right above the ballroom and as there was a wedding with an evening disco etc. we were concerned about the possibility of noise. We informed the staff of our concerns and they changed our room immediately. We were given another room with the same speculation that we had booked. No noise!! We would like to thank the staff for all they did. Good breakfast with plenty of choice.

Nothing to say. Everything was fine.

Lovely stay for a few nights, prime location. Special mention Evie (reception) who was lovely and accommodating, also helped advice on things for my partners birthday and Tom (bar), who was a delight and informative. Driving up to the hotel I was pleasantly surprised, especially for the rate I paid. Check in was quick, room was a great size (Classic Double Room), plenty of space and amenities, bed was huge. Toilet had a broken towel holder but we didn't complain as it wasn't a big deal, shower was a good pressure and had also had a waterfall shower head. Bathroom was very clean and spacious, the only thing is they only provide 1 liquid soap for both shower and sink, plus a lotion at sink - there is no other amenities e.g. shower cap, shampoo (is the same soap) etc, so if that is an issue then bring some. Free bottled water is provided each day in the room fridge. Ive read reviews saying the place is "dated" but I would say mainly the carpets? but its just the feel of the place (Old English-esq), it looks fantastic from outside and they have a large pretty garden and huge car park with outdoor seating too. There's a bar/pub inside the hotel with a tv (if that interests you) which is again, has that old English feel. The dining area looked nice but I can't comment as didn't use. The beach is literally across the road (see pic of how close it is to the back of the hotel) and there's small restaurants/pubs dotted about, walking distance. Swimming pool is a decent size (See pic), had a lot of chlorine in it but I guess there were quite a few kids about so makes sense. Didn't use the spa/gym facilities (included) so cannot really comment but the gym just looked like basic equipment from the outside. Generally I found, it was a place to switch off from the hustle and bustle (Londoner) and overall I would recommend!

Amenities but not a big deal. I guess they could upgrade slightly but I don't have much to complain about at all :)

We loved everything about this hotel from the second we drove in to the carpark. It’s a beautiful old hotel and very imposing, the staff wee very polite and told us we had an upgrade wow the room was stunning we had a fridge with lots of little extras orange juice , chocolate and water and a tin of coke. Our bathroom was fabulous our bed was comfy although a little too high . We had a lovely view of the gardens it truly was the best room we’ve stayed in. We used the Martello bar to eat in the evenings , slightly expensive with drinks but I think they have the monopoly on local places to eat in the area as there are t that many close by. We ate and then went for a walk on the promenade, the shingle beach is 2 minutes away. We loved our stay at the Imperial and will most definitely stay again.

All positive 👍🏻

Room was large and comfortable. Good sea view. Effective air conditioning, which was needed. The staff were well trained and attentive and cheerful. A good centre from which to visit countryside attractions. The coast mini railway is fun.

Breakfast was a buffet, but you could order eggs cooked however you wanted. However, the selection of continental breakfast type items was very limited. No salami type meats and no cheese selection. The bread selection was very limited and there were no pastries. The croissants were very small and unappealing. There was whole fruit, but no fruit salad. The cooked bacon was excellent and there were sausages and hash browns as well as other hot items. So a mixed picture.

Everything went smoothly with our stay - we booked very last minute and had great service from the reception team when we arrived, its a big plus that they have 24hr staff. Rooms are a little tired but are clean and spacious. The bed was generously sized for a double room and very comfortable. Had everything we needed for a couple of nights away, was definitely good value for what we paid. Lovely to be right next to the beach as well!

I think the rooms could do with some modernisation, it was clear they had been well used. This was what we were expecting so did not bother us :)

What a beautiful hotel that the obviously stepped in history. Its location was perfect for us and the view from our window was exceptional. The room was very comfortable. If we did have issues they were dealt with straightaway were outstanding.

I asked for Seaview made for an extra walk for me, which was a challenge due to my disability, but that was the nature of the building, so couldn’t be helped But, down in the Spa area & especially pool changing rooms it was far far too hot & humid, even on a cooler day, which put me off entering the pool for a second day. Also stepping out of the pool or the Jacuzzi was very challenging as the last step out was particularly high & also a hazard, this was a shame as I would have liked a second visit…
