Breakfast was very disappointing. The cook burned my fried eggs, the potatoes were dried out, and the grits were soupy. In a nutshell, it was a horrible experience. I have stayed at many hotels, and that breakfast was the worst.

To improve, I suggest: 1. **Quality Control**: Ensure eggs are cooked to the correct doneness. 2. **Freshness**: Serve freshly cooked potatoes, so they aren't dried out. 3. **Consistency**: Prepare the grits to be the right texture—not too soupy.

Entry way was very nice. Very classy. Check in experience was great. Staff was very polite and helpful. Room was very nice and clean. Room service was incredible. The fact that check out time is at 11am instead of 10am like everywhere else I’ve ever stayed makes a huge difference on how rushed your morning is.

I did not like being forced to valet my vehicle but that’s just a personal preference. Valet staff was very polite and helpful and were able to answer every question I had. As another personal preference, my room did not seem to get as cold as I prefer.

Overall this hotel is really great. This historical building makes for a beautiful hotel with unique architecture and provides an interesting experience. It is very clean not only in the room but common areas as well. I strongly recommend staying here. The pool, jaccuzi, spa and fitness center are also great.

staff very friendly and helpful. valet worked with us on parking our bigger truck. beautiful hotel

I loved the property, however I will never use booking.com. I booked in November of 2022 in order to get a great room with balcony overlooking the city. our reservation was apparently not booked correctly with the hotel. we had no balcony and our view was a parking deck. when we told the hotel it was not the room we booked, they said they had no control over booking with a 3rd party. apparently they didn’t have one available due to several events going on in the city. if we go again I will book directly with the hotel. very disappointed. the reason I chose to stay there was because of the balcony. normally I don’t write reviews but other people need to know not to use booking. com unless it doesn’t matter which room you get.

The staff were great!! From our bartender at both Joe Cain's Cafe and piano bar. Our waiter for brunch was exceptional (London) , absolute professional, and a delight to speak with. The staff had prepared some wine and chocolate for my partner on behalf of her birthday, which was very much appreciated.

The air conditioning in our room didn't quite cool down to a comfortable temperature.

Delicious

Front desk employees double charged me when I arrived to check in. I was already booked with reservations with booking . Com. The front desk made me charged my card again before giving me a room. Then the next day they locked me out of my room. I had to go back down to the front desk. They made me swipe my card again. Basically double xharing me. Im still trying to clear tge charges up now.

I didn't like how I was lied to by Dalton, manager, saying there were no vacancies so he didn't have to honor my previous reservation through booking.com. Then when I went to look online I found there were vacancies so I had to book a new room through hotels.com. After I was told there were nothing available for this weekend.

April 2023

The lobby was gorgeous. The sunrise view from our room was memorable.

We would have preferred a room in the historic part of the hotel, but we weren't given the choice. I think the desk clerk thought she was doing well by us - we got a 7th-floor room in the tower, with that lovely sunrise view. We can't complain about that! But we booked Battle House for its historic attributes, and the tower was not at all historic. Worse, the hike from the beautiful lobby to the tower elevators was grim and dispiriting - it was a commercial/business lobby. Ugh.

Exceeded hope and expectations. Dalton Doss on the he desk was especially professjonal, hospitible.and helpful.

Registration on web page phone # turned out to be Bookings. Com with unintelligible and inacurate information. Never got to know what costs where untill we paid .Requests for cost data diverted to Bookings were answered rudely and impatiently. . Bookings badly smears Mariott,s good reputarion and should be discontinued.
