I had never been to Mobile and it was all so pleasant. This is a very nice place to stay, so close to the city and a nice break from the usual city hotel room. We had a king suite which was lovely.
They charged 16$ for early check in. I frabkly didnt understand what it cost them... the room was ready, there was no expedited cleaning or anything... other hotels let me in if the room is ready. We wanted to make it to the Africatown Heritage museum and it was only 16 so we paid. Just seems there are so many extra fees anymore...

I liked the attention to details. The staff was efficient, helpful and courteous. Rooms were clean. Our view from our window was the brick streets. Walking distance to downtown Mobile, the Mobile cruise terminal and attractions. A free or discounted breakfast with our reservation to Bistro St Emanuel. $$. Over all we had a wonderful time exploring the down town historic areas.
Street parking only for those that are not going on a cruise. Free garage parking the day before or day after you go on cruise. And you would have to walk across under the freeway(interstate) to go back and forth to your car. Our room was advertised as being sound proof. It was quiet other than hearing out neighbor above walking across their floor.

Location and property. We have stayed there before and like the proximity to downtown. Nice rooms and area to walk in.
Inflexible staff. Arrived an hour early and property was less than half full but wouldn't check us in unless we paid extra. Not a nice experience. Very strict rules about many things. Previously they would cook a breakfast that was served in the lovely dining room. Now you go to their "Bistro" (which is nice) but you are very limited in your breakfast, must pay a fee regardless and pay extras for other items. Not what I expected from them at the price they charge or for any B and B. Perhaps they are becoming more "corporate" in their approach instead of boutique and intimate. Still a nice property but may look around next time.

the location close to downtown the model of hotel composed of several houses similar to the historical district room are also equipped considering the histroical needs the boss and the staff were very helpfull and services minded.
breakfast is not at the level of the hotel. Additionaly, though Booking say breakfast included, you will need to pay additianal fee. The trains horing in the nights ..... but Hotel cannot do much for it

Lovely hotell that is located in a few old houses in an old crescent. It had a nice court yard where we could sit outside. It was close to Mobiles historical centre and it was easy to go for a walk in the area. The staff was lovely and very helpful. Dont miss a visit to the Carnival Museum!
Unfourtunately the breakfast service was really slow the day we were there, but the staff was really good about it and tried to compensate us and made sure our cups of coffee was refilled all the time :)

The hotel is in the historic district. We were able to walk around and feel safe. Many attractions are in walking distance of the hotel. Staff is friendly and accommodating. We had an extended stay, everyone was understanding and helpful. Breakfast was available at the Bistro across the street. Eggs with bacon, sausage is included. A discount is available if you order something else. Dinner had many options, everything was delicious.
Parts of the hotel could use some refreshing.

Liked the historical aspect and the attention to detail of the restoration work. Good location. Room was nice and big and bathroom was very good. The restaurant was great for breakfast.
Was a bit difficult to identify the hotel reception when I first arrived. There was a sound of dripping water from behind a service panel in my room that was noticeable at times (often). Free wifi dropped out very often and sometimes just wasn’t there at all. Would have been nice to have an extra blanket available. Would have been good if the restaurant had some gluten free bread (I have a gluten allergy).

This is a hidden gem. Such a restful and interesting area and walkable to the convention center for a conference. Check in was quick and I was walked to my room. The accommodations are nice - I was in room 7 of the main inn. The room was comfortable and charming and I appreciated the small refrigerator and coffee maker. The bed was very comfortable and I look forward to visiting when I can use the fireplace. I enjoyed breakfast at the bistro as well as a cocktail and burger to go. The service was excellent and Shelton provided a lot of insight into the area. I look forward to a return visit.

We loved the personal feel. We were happily greeted and well taken care of by staff. The grounds and buildings are very quaint. We loved the preservation of history! The rooms were well appointed and comfortable. Breakfast at the Bistro was wonderful. We stayed here the night before our cruise. It was extremely convenient to leave our car parked for the duration of our cruise. We will definitely be back!
Don't change a thing!

We love being able to go to Bistro St. Emanuel just a ten second walk from our room. The art deco decor, staff, menu and convenience are wonderful. I love the fact that St. Michelle Sparkling Wine is used for the mimosas versus a no name, cheap off brand. Plus if we do not wish to get the breakfast that comes with the room we still get a discount with our card voucher from the inn. The inn is in a perfect location, next to downtown, near the interstate and in a quiet part of town all to itself. Parking is never an issue so that we can see our vehicle from our room. Plus the staff is super helpful and polite. We love our room that is just off the main inn building, just off the court yard. The beds are comfortable, the bathroom clean and the wet bar is nice for morning coffee (provided), drinks (byod or use the honor bar in the main inn) and snacks (byos). This is our first choice when we come to Mobile for accommodations. We really like that the inn was a restoration project took on by a third party even though the property is owned by the city of Mobile. I wish more cities would do something like this to keep history alive and keep old buildings functioning for generations to come. Use the Opentable app to reserve your table for brunch or dinner!
We noticed that when checking in that it is not really explained how the cards work for breakfast and welcome evening drinks at Bistro St. Emanuel for guests. It is almost like the reception folks want to rush you through check. The Inn information in the room is a wonderful tool for a guest and answers most all questions. However, the receptionist hospitality and information sets the tone for the stay.
