Our stay was the best. Staff were super friendly, helpful, and cheerful! Nothing seemed too much trouble. Our room was large, clean, and super comfortable. Very comfortable bed. A couple of comfy armchairs by the tea/coffee facilities. My children were very excited to find complimentary chocolate wafer biscuits and water in the fridge - a great touch! The bathroom was clean. Lovely shower with a wall attachment and ceiling rose. Plus, large, soft, bath sheets! There was plenty of choice for breakfast. Continental or cooked, the choice was yours! We also ate dinner at the pub. Once we made to booking The Greyhound emailed to see if we wanted to book for dinner, which i liked. The food was delicious. The childrens portions were a very good size! Plenty even for older children. The pub was busy, but you couldn't hear a thing in our room. A beautiful, peaceful stay! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone! Top marks from both my children & I!
Absolutely nothing!!!

A beautiful pub that has been sympathetically renovated. Our room was really spacious (as was the bathroom - we had a bath and overhead shower). The breakfast was just what we needed/wanted having spent the previous evening at a wedding - a selection of cereals and juices plus the option to order a hot dish from the menu together with freshly made coffee and tea. The staff were great.
The pub is a located about 10 minutes south of Taunton, which we knew when we booked. There are no other pubs or restaurants within walking distance so - depending on your reason for staying - you may need a car. We were also a little disappointed that the pub wanted £20 for us to check in early (midday) and, instead, drove back from the wedding we were at in order to check-in mid-afternoon (on the basis that we knew it would be too late for us to check-in post-wedding).

The room we had the first night was very cold as the structure of o get cold and although the radiator was hot it couldn't warm the room that first night. Fortunately the management was able to upgrade us to a room in the main building which was fine. Breakfast staff were very friendly, chatty and helpful. A great asset to the Greyhound pub.
The first room, Lane I think, was very cold but the room otherwise was fine.

Room was spotless bed was fabulous staff were very friendly and the food was great. They certainly fulfilled our expectations, we were there for cricket finals and running late back for dinner, knowing kitchen closed at 9pm we called saying we’ll be there 8-50 can they put something aside, when we got there the chef said he preferred to wait and cook fresh and hot, amazing, we thought sandwich crisps would do but had gorgeous burger and fish chips, lovely. Great car park very nice outdoor seating, quiet location, we were very happy and would certainly stay again even if we were in another part of Somerset as last 20 years we’ve booked and stayed in some pretty dire places. The owner showed us to our room very much personal touches all round. A very affordable worthwhile stay. A bonus was internet wasn’t great so it was lovely seeing everyone talking to one another instead of being on their phones. There is WiFi but not super fast and for us that was great. Thank you oh and bonus England won the cricket
Everything was great

The whole experience at the Greyhound Inn was like being at home. The whole place has been renovated to a high standard and the price for rooms are spot on. The food is excellent, especially breakfast and attention to detail is outstanding. The staff are very attentive and welcoming. Warm and cosy on a winters night, what more can you ask.
The only thing that we would have liked was a softer mattress. Next time we visit we will ask if any of the other rooms have a different mattress but that is all. That's just our preference.

It is a lovely old pub on a pretty quiet road. The bar and eating areas are lovely and spotlessly clean with good outdoor areas. The bedroom we had was spacious, the bed comfortable and again well kept. The food was absolutely excellent including traditional pub fare as well as vegetarian and other choices. Breakfast was first class too. Plenty of parking.
Nothing we didn’t like but, like every pub we have stayed in recently, the room was pretty hot. There was large fan and the windows could open so it was not unbearable ( like some) but a portable actual cooling device would have made a big difference.

Excellent country pub. Great old building plenty of parking. Bar had vast choice of drinks and staff were friendly and very helpful. Room was spacious with a modern bathroom with bath and shower. The bed was very comfortable and I had an excellent sleep. Food in the bar was really good. I had the pork which was cooked perfectly. Again the staff were excellent. Unfortunately we had to leave early so missed breakfast but if the dinner was anything to go by I'm sure it would have been good. Only small issue was intermittent WiFi. On whole though excellent stay and I certainly would return.
WiFi. Was very intermittent.

Always love arriving at the Greyhound, in beautiful countryside yet only about 8 miles from the M5. Perfect stopover on our way to Cornwall. Room was very comfortable and clean. Great to have a lovely dinner as well. The young staff at dinner were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was super as well. Great choice of buffet and hot food cooked to order. Such a lovely, cheerful member of staff at breakfast.
Nothing!

Lovely countryside location with a huge car park. We didn't eat in the evening as we were attending a local event. Room was nice with no noise. The Breakfast was exceptional. Really tasty and included in the rate. The staff were friendly and well organised even when grappling with a defective payment machine
The shower water heat was only just warm enough. Personally I would have liked a warmer shower

Location, decor was lovely, room was spacious
The expel air from kitchen was right below our room -it was very noisey which kept us awake at night and then started early in the morning for breakfast service. I’d paid extra for the upgraded room, the bed was comfy but the child’s bed was very thin and really needed a mattress topper. There was no earl grey tea in the room.
