Lovely clean comfortable room. Super quiet which was lovely (Room #1) Big shower room with plenty of towels. Bed was super comfy with four soft pillows... Only had the room for one night due to celebrating arrival of family baby a bit too much. Appreciated being able to make tea in the room when I woke up . Breakfast was good and much needed. Manager is nice chap, friendly & polite.

The only "toiletries" was a box bolted to the wall in the shower with shower gel in, so no hand soap for sink (and no minatures to take home 😉). It is the little things sometimes that make all the difference guys.

Fantastic location for an event we were attending at a local school. Friendly helpful staff, and more than adequate for our overnight stay.

The room was small but sufficient for an overnight stay, and parts of our room, like the light fitting, could have done with some love and the tea facilities in the room had not been replenished from the last guests but these are only minor gripes. Breakfast was lovely but I always feel there should be a 2 per item minimum for a FULL English breakfast, only 1 sausage and 1 mushroom on mine 😉

A great stay at the Green Dragon, nice pub with friendly locals, the rooms were not too noisy even with the pub and the staff was nice and helpful (I had to call for a late check-in and they found a solution right away), good location at the center of town, overall a good value for money. The room was clean and well kept, the mattress was comfortable, the bathroom looked new.

The room was well equipped and beds were comfortable. Breakfast included was good.

The staff in the morning weren't very helpful/attentive. The coffee was instant with breakfast even though there is a good coffee machine in the bar. I would have paid for a better coffee had I been offered.

Friendly locals in bar, big room, reasonably priced food, nice decor.

No parking (although public car park is very nearby and no charge after 6pm) I wouldn’t stay here if you have lots of luggage or have ANY mobility issues as stairs are very steep and awkward.

The room was really clean and very comfortable, the staff and facilities were great, and the food was delicious.

Our room was directly above the pub lounge and the dart board. It was actually too noisy so didn't disturb us too much in the end.

Rooms look recently re furbished to a very high standard. Great comfy bed. Large bathroom with large walk- in shower. Instant hot water and good towels. The staff were very nice from the welcome to the checkout and tge breakfast was excellent 👌

I thought the glass light fitting was far too big for the room as the ceiling was low. I was worried I might break it

Property was very convenient for our visit, staff were lovely and Friendly Shower was fabulous, bed clean and comfy

I think how the breakfast was set up/ not set up could be improved Lay tables for breakfast Put juices in a jug( not in the cartons which they were bought) Larger cereal selection/ Jam selection Out mattress protectors on the bed

We are mature cyclists journeying from Barnstaple to Bristol. We stayed at four hotels..the Green Dragon one of the least expensive. This is obviously a popular local pub. There was a happy, lively atmosphere and food was “pub grub.”

We enjoyed our stay but we would have preferred a room NOT above the karaoke session in the bar below! Pity, we’ll remember the place for the wrong reason.
