A very nice hotel at the area of Miraflores. Very close to restaurants and malls. The personel was polite and helpful. The breakfast was good enough

The only negative that i found at this hotel is that the tiles at the shower are extremely slippery.For sure someone will have accident

It was a great hotel stay. It was in a great location in a quiet street. The atmosphere of the hotel was great and the staff was wonderful. I was able to get everywhere to the hustle and bustle of Miraflores just a short walk and it was great to come back to a nice quiet area to rest.

They could improve their breakfast buffet. The food was great but would prefer they would add more variety of fresh fruit and it would be nice if they add a little more variety of their hot/warm food.

Location and cleanliness and kitchen available after hours.

Lack of communication with intrepid company. Intrepid told us to talk to reception to do an extra tour if we arrived ahead of schedule which we did. El Tambo sent us on the same tour that we were doing the following day paid for in our intrepid package which we then paid for again at extra cost through the hotel. From our group of 18 people this happened to 6 of us that all arrived early.

We had a great stay at El Tambo 1! We had a room with three single beds. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed (hot shower, soft towels, hair dryer). The breakfast was plentiful with lots of options (fruit, yogurt, sandwiches, waffles, etc.). The hotel is in a great location and just a short walk from many restaurants, the Miraflores boardwalk and the Larcomar shopping mall. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. We had a late flight on the day of our checkout so we stored our luggage for the day at the hotel and the staff helped arrange a taxi to take us to the airport. I would stay here again!

The only downside was that the wifi didn't reach inside our room. Our cell phones kept dropping the network. To check into our flight we had to go out into the lobby on our floor to get a strong enough signal.

Hotel is nicely designed. The beds are comfy and the bathrooms are decent. The complaints are quickly addressed.

There is no espresso machine nor the bar in this hotel. If you don't like the filtered coffee offered for breakfast, the only option is to go elsewhere for a decent one. the soundproof is bad. The windows are poor. WiFi is very bad, but on my request they have quickly installed a router just for me in my room. There is no reliable wifi in the breakfast room/restaurant.

Good breakfast (though the layout caused some traffic flow issues for people), good coffee, liked that you had water coolers in areas around the hotel for drinking water. Nice sitting areas around the ground floor lobby and garden areas. Friendly staff, liked that there was a doorman. Reasonable price. Good location. Liked that the bathroom had refillable wall containers for shampoo and shower gel instead of the dumb little plastic envelope of shampoo other hotels in Peru gave us.

Could use better ventilation in bathrooms. Our room with 2 beds only had one bedside table & lamp, outlets not conveniently placed, no desk or chair, only 1 place to put 1 suitcase.

El Tambo is located very conveniently in Miraflores. It's in walking distance from the ocean and there are many nice restaurants and shops around. The staff was very nice and helpful. Initially we were checked into a room with 2 single beds by mistake. When we asked them, they moved us to a room with a queen bed and they were very nice to move our luggage while we were out sightseeing. Both rooms we stayed in were functional, nothing fancy but pretty comfortable.

The sound isolation in the rooms was very bad. We could hear every movement in the corridor, as well as in the rooms next to us. We could hear the sound of water in the shower from other rooms and even the sound of a hairdryer. Luckily it was getting quieter towards 11-12in the evening.

El Tambo Uno is a perfect mid range hotel with good facilities. It's comfortable clean and has very accommodating staff. The location is excellent too. Close to Barranco, Kennedy Park, the seaside and Huaca Puclliano - all within walking distance. Larco Museum and Downtown are just an affordable taxi ride away. So well positioned out of the hustle and bustle but close to good restaurants etc.

Our room could have done with a Fridge. But this is a small point.

Very comfortable and extremely quiet in a safe neighbourhood just blocks away from the action in Miraflores. I travel to Lima frequently for work, and my usual hotel was full, so i chose here and stayed for over a week. Breakfast was decent, bed comfortable.

One suggestion for improvement: a kettle or coffee-maker in the small rooms would be super useful. That’s really the only down side.

The location is excellent. El Tambo 1 is located in a very nice area near beautiful parks, near Larco Mar, near the beach. The staff was very professional and friendly. The breakfast that was included was delicious and they had a very good variety of food. And the food they prepared in the restaurant was amazing, delicious! We really had an amazing experience and enjoyed our stay at El Tambo 1. Highly recommended!
