The accommodation was cosy and welcoming, very clean and tidy. The room was of a large double size and tea/coffee/milk etc was available freely. TV, heating and electrics were all in good working order and plenty of towels plus bathroom products were provided. We were permitted to invite another guest (non resident) to join us for breakfast and we were all given a friendly welcome on arrival. The breakfast was delicious and lots of choices - we had the full English breakfast and everything was cooked to perfection, nice and hot. More tea was offered after finishing breakfast and although we were the last people to leave the breakfast room, the hosts were in no way rushing us to finish up.

We had a really friendly welcome and a lovely, warm and comfortable room. We slept extremely well and enjoyed breakfast from the good selection offered. We both started with individual fresh fruit salads plus orange juice. My husband had a full English, and for me smoked salmon with scrambled egg and a muffin.

Two little downsides were that I couldn't get the shower to give constant warm water (my husband could!), and because it was late in the season and early in the week, we found the two nearest restaurants stopped serving at 6.30 and 8pm. We had a lovely meal at the Navigator on the seafront, though.0

We booked two twin rooms - our room 5 was good positioned on the front. Road wasn't too noisy even with the windows opened. Second bedroom was a double bed and single bed which seemed more of a put up bed. Not ideal for our 36 year old son. We had a brilliant selection of teas and coffee including decaf and biscuits with tea making facilities. Bottles of water in the room. Everything nice and clean. Breakfast was excellent - lovely pots of fresh fruit including strawberries and yogurts, cooked breakfast choices included Eggs Benedict, Eggs Royale and vegetarian/vegan options. Toast with marmalade, honey and jam. Fresh coffee, tea and juice too.

My husband and son had bedroom 7 and this didn't have a view out of his window - apart from a very close to the window brick wall.

This is a lovely hotel, just a short walk from main Bognor town centre! It's in a great location, bus stops nearby, also not to much of a walk from the train station, it's also a quieter area! The room we had was lovely and bigger than normal, bed very comfortable and had a choice of normal or rain shower in the ensuite and was a walk in shower! Not too far either if you want a walk on the promenade by the beach!! Has a small bar downstairs if you fancy a drink! The breakfast is a great choice, buffet style but plenty of choice of cooked breakfast too, which was delicious!! Think we will be back here in the future!!

There wasn't anything we didn't like!!

It was so peaceful, breakfast great, all the staff so accommodating. Originally placed a room which was claustrophobic, but we placed in a different room without any issue, which made our holiday absolutely amazing. Lift that is there, was next to our room, was soo quiet..didn't hear a thing, apart from the local seagulls who are allowed. Really really lovely stay..Will definitely be back.❤️Thank you guys.xx

Just the view from room number 4, it is a brick wall, but, bless the hosts, they have a mirror opposite the window, to try and not make it feel so oppressive....fair play.😊

We last sayed at the Aldwick in the early years of this century and it has changed hands since then. However, our expectations were exceeded with the room, that we had used over 20 years ago, remaining very comfortable and giving a good night's sleep. Whilst the Aldwick only offers bed and breakfast these days we were able to enjoy a lovely meal at the Mama Mia a five minute walk away. In the morning the Aldwick breakfast was excellent and the staff looked after us very well. The fact that there is a lift to upper floors made it easier to get to our room with bags (I walk with a stick), which was a bonus.

I cannot think of anything that we didn't like.

Veronica and Mike have created such a welcoming and comfortable B&B. Our room was comfy and clean, and it contained everything we needed, including a little fridge for the fresh milk provided and a quiet fan to keep us cool. Breakfast was fabulous, including fresh fruit bowls and proper, high quality butcher’s sausages. We will definitely stay here again, when we come to the area next.

Very clean, excellent breakfast, cosy room with everything we needed. Located less than five minutes from the beach - the perfect base for us.

Breakfast was lovely and plentiful and set you up for the day. My husband loved the sausages and the poached eggs were very good. We stayed in a twin room which was a good size. Very good shower with lots of space and hot water. Lovely big fluffy towels. Hosts were very welcoming and friendly. Parking was no problem on site.

Nothing to dislike. There is no housekeeping but you can ask for a room refresh etc if required. The host did ask if we would like a refresh and made the beds and emptied the bin.

It’s the little things and attention to detail that I liked. We we’re offered fresh milk in a cool thermos bottle at reception and had a mini fridge in the room. The room was spotless and the bedding smelt fresh. There were a lot of nice little extras including body wash and shampoo. The towels were fresh. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the service was fantastic. A great selection of fruits and cereals at breakfast as well as a good selection of hot breakfast options. And how many guest houses do you know that have a bar? The guest house is at a really quiet location so we slept well. And you are only a 10 minute walk from the town centre. And there is ample off street parking available.

My only quibble would be the single sprung mattresses but I slept like a log so maybe sometimes older designs actually work. There is nothing to dislike about this guest house and the staff. A home from home.

Veronica was extremely accommodating, as she allowed me to leave some luggage in the morning before i'd checked in, which meant i could take my son out for the day without having to be restricted by our luggage. She also allowed us to do the same after we'd checked out, which meant i could have another day out with my son before we got our train home. Veronica and Mike therefore went over and above to accommodate us and ensure we had a great stay! The Aldwick has a lovely homely feel to it. I will definitely be returning and hopefully have more time to spend in the lovely lounge area and cosy bar!

Nothing i didn't like.
