Transport was provided to and from the station and luggage was carried to the room as well. Was exceptionally pleased with the room which came with two baths and even a sauna. I could take a bath in the comfort of my own room whenever and I liked it better than the public bath. The room was also spacious and had plenty of amenities. View from the room and the complimentary mini bar was great. Staff were wonderful.

The pace of dinner could be slightly better. Didn’t ask but would be nice if drinks from the mini bar could be brought down to dinner.

I loved our room. Our hot bath was amazing and consistently stayed hot throughout the stay. Our room was very spacious. They provided us with all the necessities, yukatas to wear during dinner and pajamas. The massage chair in the room was a plus. I loved the location! If you just walk to the left of the hotel, you will reach a stairwell that leads directly to the arima onsen town area! Easy to walk around town. The staff were excellent and spoke English very well. It was easy to communicate with them.

The way to reach the hotel by transportation. It's a very steep hill. Either call for a taxi service to drop you directly up the narrow and steep hill, or utilize the hotels free transportation services.

We love everything about this accommodation. The staff were friendly, the facilities were exceptional. The kaiseki breakfast had no flaws. They were delicious. The yukatas are really warm so it was very comfortable for us to even go outside using them. The yukatas are even warmer than our jackets. We also got free slippers that we could write our names on. We also really love the kinsen and the onsen. They provide complete facilities too like a place to take a shower, soap, shampoo, hair brush, cotton pads, hairdryer, shower cap, and so on. They also provide lockers for you to put your clothes in.

Nothing honestly, but if I could suggest maybe it is better for you to have an elevator from downstairs to the lobby because it will ease the staff to carry the heavy suitcases upstairs. In addition to that, maybe you should add more cars to pick up the visitors from the train station or from the nearby airport.

If I dreamt up the perfect room, this would be it! I loved : the # of wastebaskets, the controls for the lights and curtains, the toilet, the automatic closing bathroom door, the room’s small amenities, which felt very luxurious and nice, the storage closet, sauna, and hot spring/ tub/shower room- absolutely everything. Every detail of the room has been thought out. Thoughtful design, purposeful and functional layout and mechanisms, and it all looked and felt so luxurious.

I’m really struggling to think of anything I didn’t like. Maybe the pillows could have been a bit squishier. Maybe.

The room was clean, very spacious. Plugs were available every corner of the room. Staff were courteous and very helpful. Although the onsen was small, it was very clean and comfortable. The outdoor onsen felt amazing. Lots of amentities available to use after the bath. Food provided was filling and delicious - a lot of variety. Staff were very helpful with driving us to where we need to go after check out. Would def recommend to make arrangements with ArimaOnsen to pick up the station, since the place is located on a hill.

The staff are very kind and welcoming, and they greeted us with tea and delicious homemade wagashi. The baths are lovely and well kept. They offer both kin no yu and gin no yu options (located indoors and outdoors respectively). The room was a very good size, and the tatami was lovely. We didn't have a bath attached to our room, but the public/communal baths were empty every time we went (though this may have been affected by the fact that we visited in June). We would love to visit again.

The location is only accessible through a lot of upward inclines (stairs or hill). They have a free shuttle, but it was only accessible from 9-11 am. Pack your luggage accordingly or consider getting there by car. Also, we weren't able to store our luggage at the front desk after checkout (the shuttle driver took us to a good location for coin lockers). [A side note about the coin lockers - get there early because they can fill up quickly, and there aren't a lot of options in Arima.]

We enjoyed our stay in general. The beds were so incredibly comfy. The baths were so relaxing and we didn’t encounter anyone in them during our stay so it felt very private. The staff spoke very good English and made sure we were comfortable. The breakfast was a feast and served in a beautiful dining room that felt very private.

As others have mentioned, there is a large set of stairs to reach the building, not the best when you have large suitcases. We also felt that the price was very steep for what we were offered. The town is lovely and worth a visit, but there are many options to choose from and it might be easier to find a different location that is more modern and accessible for the same price.

Amazing stay. It might not have some of the fancy things other onsen hotels offers. For everything they do, they did it perfectly. From the decoration to the breakfast being served. The room, the onsen, everything was done perfectly just right. The staff was also very helpful with organizing our bus back to Osaka.

No vending machine with milk at the onsen. This is one thing I miss where most other onsen hotel offers.

This hotel is a bit off of the main road in Arima but it is worth the views from the baths that have both the gold and silver waters. The room was spacious, and the futons were very comfortable. Breakfast was traditional Japanese with local delicacies. As this property is up on a hill definitely make sure that you call when you arrive to have them pick you and the luggage up rather than hiking up the hill,

The room was sizable and so was the private one at the restaurant. Tasteful drawings and minimal flower arrangements were everywhere, with books and chairs to remind guests to take it easy and enjoy tranquility and comfort. The onsen pools command a nice view of the town and its neighbouring lush hills. If one has only one night in Arima, he'll do well here.

The onsen pools are small and, exceptionally, there were no towels in the changing room.
