Nice clean room, decor a little tired but effort had been made to make it presentable and well kept. No mirror in bathroom oddly which wasn't a big problem but some people may expect this. Nice bath/shower arrangement. Teas and coffees in room. Comfortable beds, quiet at night although the walls seem fairly thin so some noise may occur in busier periods possibly. Lovely character building. Staff very helpful. Good breakfast!

There was an overpowering artificial scent smell in the room throughout our entire stay - it could be polish or carpet freshener I guess but I had to open the window much of the time, not ideal in winter. Some stains on the carpet, not a big deal but perhaps these need updating for modern darker carpets (this one was light pink).

Spent 3 nights at The Conningbrook Hotel a few days before Christmas. The check in was very quick as I had filled out the pre check in information 0n line before I arrived. The hotel was beautifully decorated for the season & the staff on duty were very polite & friendly. The room I was allocated was a twin bed room with a bath/shower in a good size bathroom which was pristine clean. The room was a great size & the bed was comfortable. The room's decoration could do with a freshen up but it was immaculately clean.

The only thing I didn't like was the creaky floorboards!!

I liked the whole experience, the staff were friendly and helpful. As for me I slept very well. and the room was nice, clean and warm. with a heated towel rail in the bathroom which is a bonus for me. I had toast for breakfast, but my partner had full English breakfast which looked nice, also the menu was varied and more to my taste, particularly the apple/blackerry crumble, additionally the food portions were of a good size and not too expensive. The staff in the dinning room were very helpful and nothing appeared to be too much trouble. Plenty of free car parking and the decor in the Hotel was tasteful. All in all a nice pleasant stay

Unfortunately my partner had a dip in his side of the bed and because we were on the ground floor with a landing over us the noise throughout the night was very unhelpful for my partner, who could not sleep. I would like a drinking glass provided in the bathroom. The leg on the TV was broken although the TV worked

Friendly helpful staff. Lovely big room with en-suite. Tea and coffee facilities, iron and ironing board. Lovely and warm everywhere, which in December was much appreciated. Breakfast cooked to order and value for money. The public bar was open for normal licencing hours, and food was served all day. Plenty of parking. The room rate was better than the bigger named establishments, and the whole place was full of character and comfort. Highly recommended and would not hesitate to stay there again if in that area.

I can think of no aspect that disappointed

When I 1st arrived at the hotel the staff were really considerate and very very helpful getting my stuff to my room. When I asked for an out of hours doctor as 1 side of my face had dropped Alfie said to me he was concerned and had a duty of care to call an ambulance to me which he did. I cannot thank him enough for looking after me. Intact the same can be said about Tom and the rest of the staff they're all A1. Keep up the good work. I will definitely be staying there again.

Everybody working in The Conningbrook Hotel has been very friendly and helpful! The atmosphere ist great - you'll feel very welcomed there! The rooms are clean and the beds were really comfortable. The location is super - a couple minutes from Folkstone in perfect distance to the Channel. And our dog was also very welcome - they have a separate area in the bar/restaurant with access for dogs - not normal here in GB.

It's an old building and in need of an update... As a spoiled European I'd prefer a mixed cold and water outlet in the bathroom and not two separate faucets. The rooms wouldn't mind a refurbishment either.

Location perfect for overnight sleep after 6 hour drive before ferry to Calais . Lovely clean room , large fluffy towels, excellent bath & shower facilities plenty of hot water & nice quality toiletries. Good atmosphere very friendly staff , lovely sunny afternoon on arrival we had drinks in the beer garden before having a lovely meal in the restaurant , nice choice on menu, lovely meal nicely presented. Same experience at breakfast .

4th time we have stayed there overnight to break our journey , we then arrive at our following destination fully refreshed, there isn't anything we dislike.

A last minute decision to stay and a good one. Every member of staff we spoke to were helpful and friendly. The room was spacious with a very comfortable superking bed. The shower was good with good towels and toiletries provided. Everything was clean. We had a very pleasant dinner and freshly cooked breakfast with bottomless coffee.

Squeaky floor in the bedroom and the bathroom extractor started on opening the door without putting the light on. Some of the furniture was clean and solid but a bit tired.

Breakfast very good, enjoyed full English breakfast, loved the spaciousness of our room, and en-suite, very warm, lovely large comfy bed, enough clothes drawers and cupboard.

Hand basin tap needed checking before arrival very tight, handyman did correct when we mentioned this. Would have liked a glass for water over hand basin, two comfy chairs instead of one would have been nice. A dog bowl for drinking water in bathroom would have been a nice touch

The manager was nice and accommodating. They allow dogs on the property. The people in the area and in the nearby park were very nice,

It was very loud at night and the music kept me awake. The bathroom was very small. I asked the front desk if I needed a reservation for dinner, she replied no. When I entered and queued for 10 minutes, they then said they might not have space. Luckily the manager created a table at the back near the kitchen. I ordered tge curry which was not good, seems like a sachet from the store.
