The cosiness when you step into the pub with a huge roaring fire was so welcoming. The decor in the pub, and the layout for dining was beautiful. Our dog friendly room was absolutely stunning with a comfy bed, huge bathroom with very modern shower, tea/coffee/hot chocolate/water/biscuits all provided. We had a lovely garden looking out over fields, fenced securely for our dog. There were even dog bowls provided. A full English breakfast set us up for the following day. The landlady and her staff were all very friendly and made my surprise dinner, with friends and family for my husband's birthday, a lovely evening. Thankyou.

The breakfast was really nice and the staff very friendly. The pub serves nice dinner as well and has a great variety of wines and beer. And the pub is located in a great spot of Kent.

There was not quiet place without music inside tje pub. And in the room you always heard the ventilatiion from the kitchen. So the only quiet place was outside. So if you want peace and quiet also inside, you won't get it, at least nlt in our room. Ask for a room not so near the kitchen, that might be better. Also there was no space in the room for your clothes, the wardrobe was just for a few hangers. I would at keast vave put a small shelf in there.

The food was fresh and delicious. The Staff were very friendly, welcoming, helpful and interested in us as individuals. Cleanliness was excellent. Tea and coffee were generous. The beds were extremely comfortable as were the pillows. It was easy to regulate the temperature in the room, turning radiators on or off and opening windows. It was a pleasure to see that the carpets in public and private areas were clean and not worn. Location was superb.

Improvements could be a small fridge in the rooms and a reception area for those staying the night at the Inn. Our own personal taste would have been pictures representing country or historical themes rather than animals dressed up as humans.

Welcoming staff, comfortable rooms, nice pub meals still served at 8.00, water, tea, coffee etc in room plus packed croissants for next day's breakfast. Our daughter had a v comfortable sleep before the channel crossing, which we appreciated

There was a lot of noise in the night both from the wind and pipes or shutters (not sure what but quite a racket). This impacted our sleep but still happy we stayed here as our daughter slept really well, despite the noise and found her bed very comfortable.

This is a nice country pub which sells excellent beer. The room was perfectly adequate for a one night stopover.

I would just make one observation. The room we had which was twin bedded had a bathroom door which was an old-fashioned sliding door on squeaky old runners. As this is a pub and you Drink beer 🍺 you of course need to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Sliding the door open and shut in the silence of the night sounded like a tank going by on the road outside. And of course that wakes the other person in the room.

The lady who met us was very helpful and gave us some information about where to walk around the pub. It was very busy inside but wasn't noisy in the rooms at all. The room was comfortable and it's in a quiet location - we slept well. The food was decent both at dinner and breakfast and outside there were also pizzas available.

Nothing particularly significant; we would have found a couple of hooks useful in the room to put coats on to dry.

Great location. Amazing staff. Very lovely pub and food was superb including breakfast fabulous. Room was clean and plenty of tea chocolate etc. We would stay again but ask for a larger room.

The bathroom was small, and loo flush hit the sink, and the shower is tiny as a corner glass has been installed. Bed very small no chairs to sit on and nowhere to put your suitcase to unpack except bed or floor. Very small room. The fan extract from the kitchen could be heard all night. This did keep us awake a lot If we stay again we will book a bigger room at the back.

The Bowl Inn is a lovely pub located in the countryside with easy access to many beautiful villages and also not far from Maidstone. Great spot to use as a base for touring around Kent & East Sussex. Great food and very comfortable accommodation. Super friendly and cosy place! If we lived close by this would be our local for weekend meals/visits. It is what I expect a pub to be like!

The Bowl Inn was a little difficult to locate but once found it was fabulous!

Spacious pub/In which has plenty of dining space. The evening meal was excellent, plenty of choice from the menu and the local beers are well looked after and well worth a pint or 2. Breakfast was superb, even the the half full english! is plenty enough. The room we stayed in (8) was very comfortable and spacious with its own balcony and tastefully refurbished. Bathroom was spotless. Even though you could hear the music from the dining area downstairs, once the pub closed, everything was quiet. Plenty of parking, but you will need a car, not sure there is public transport nearby. Close to the North Downs way so conveniently placed for a quality overnight rest. Staff could not have been more helpful.

Hard to find any issues as we really enjoyed our stay. Water pressure in the shoer was below par and coffee was not at the same level as the Ale in terms of quality, but these are really small issues.

At least, and maybe more, our 6th overnight stay here when travelling between UK and Europe. Managed to book our favourite room and found it to be even nicer than I remembered. Really enjoyed our evening meal and a comfortable, quiet night before a very early start. As we couldn't have the included breakfast they kindly made us a picnic bag to take away. All good. We look forward to another visit. Thank you.
