Everything! This was perhaps the loveliest hotel stay my husband and I have had (and we’ve traveled a lot!). The luxury for the price point was amazing - every single detail was so well thought out. The room was large, comfortable, and had every amenity we could want. The restaurant and bar were delicious. Staff were incredibly friendly; special shout out to Victor, the GM, who went out of his way to make us feel special and was very attentive and hands on. The location was perfect - two blocks from the main restaurant and shipping area, but a very quiet and safe street. We will absolutely be back!!

The bed was very uncomfortable (too soft), even when the extra top pad was removed. The showers are beautiful marble, but devilishly slippery when wet. Small requests for breakfast (butter, salsa) had to go back to the kitchen, and delivery was much delayed. Pre-positioning these in the dining room would be easy and efficient. Laundry, requested to be folded, arrived on hangers. The bed and shower are big issues; the others are small, but revealing of a hotel with such huge potential.

Architecture, decor, size, location

our room had a very unpleasant internal courtyard exposure which it didn’t disclose in any way when we booked the room. the hotel manager refused to move us to an available room without charging 60% extra… a very unpleasant aspect of an otherwise pleasant stay

I expected to stay for only one night but extended to a second night because it was outstanding. The location could not have been better. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and the special touches throughout the room and hotel in general were top notch. I did not have the included breakfast but did enjoy the Chilaquiles which were fantastic. For a light dinner I had the burrata with tomatoes and peaches and a cocktail the bartender prepared especially for me and it was divine. I will stay here again and again.

The location is excellent, and is a very quiet and small hotel Extremelly confortable Had some issues with the reservation, that were properly managed by the staff, even if those issues could not happen in a 5star hotel (there was an overbooking of the rooms booked)

Breakfast should have more options Not being a buffet is very limited and take time

The hotel was really pretty and the staff friendly. The breakfast was good and the bar was great place to stop in the evening. The hotel is right off the Main Street in Polanco. Easy walk to bars and restaurants at night and the park during the day.

I wish they had a quicker express breakfast for those who have to be somewhere in the morning.

This place is truly a gem! One that we discovered and it elevated our entire trip in Mexico City. We only intended to stay one night but immediately after checking in, we extended our stay for 3 additional nights. The accommodations were perfection, staff is great and overall grounds are immaculate. Cannot wait to return to this place!

There is not much to not like about this place. Overall the team did an amazing job to ensure our stay was the best!

We can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay here. The staff was warm, accommodating and extremely helpful. The room and overall hotel décor was stunning. We had an extremely comfortable stay and loved being walking distance to so many Mexico City highlights. The proximity to the restful park juxtaposed with access to more restaurants, shops and nightlife than we could imagine made for a perfect stay.

Honestly the view of the building across the street was likely the only thing we didn't love- and that clearly can happen anywhere- and didn't stop us from enjoying the patio multiple times!

we had a wonderful time in Alest Hotel during new year's holidays. we even ended up staying longer. we really liked the style and thoughtful touches of the hotel. our terrace was amazing! breakfast was fine, fresh and tasty. the manager is super welcoming and nice. good wifi, warm rooms during winter season, baggage storage available. thank you!

during check-in receptionist tried to charge us 3000 USD of deposit instead of 3000 MXP. our bank blocked the operation safely. when we changed the room to a cheaper one, shower door was leaking every time making a huge lake of water on the floor. air conditioner was very loud to sleep. we ended up not using it during the night. at night we could hear our neighbours talking, watching TV and slamming doors. bring earplugs! mattress was too soft for my back. those are minor things, we enjoyed our stay in general.

This hotel is wonderful - if you have the chance to stay here then do ! Not only have they thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible but the location is perfect. Polanco has an abundance of restaurants and cafes and the Alest is within walking distance of the archeology museum, the city tour bus stop, a lovely park and a great churros cafe ! The staff are attentive but not intrusive and the rooms are beautiful. We didn’t want to leave ! They have a hotel car and bicycles and even supply toothbrushes and toothpaste. We feel very fortunate to have stayed here and I am sure the availability was only because it recently opened!
