The hotel is pleasant, the staff at the reception are friendly, the rooms are very spacious, there are extras available (shampoo, sewing, shoe polish, hair dryer, mini bar...) that you wouldn't expect in a 3-star hotel. There is a fantastic view of the city from the terrace. A few doors away is a small shop, and very close is an excellent traditional inn, excellently rated on Tripadvisor.

Maybe we were just unlucky, but both air conditioners were without gas and we were left to the intense summer heat. Fortunately, the outside air cooled down at least a little during the night. The staff at the nearby hotel where breakfast was available was unfriendly. Some dishes were out of stock and were added only upon request.

After parking the motorcycle in the garage the process of registration took almost 20 Minutes, being the only customer and sweating all over in my motorcycle gear. One day before i asked for parking place and got not answer and the receptionist blamed it on a colleague... In this time, the registration, the receptionist took also a private call on the phone using the loud speaker in front of a customer which is a red flag. Also even there were signs in the hotel for smoking not allowed (all types: cigars, vapes etc..) a maintenance worker was smoking in the reception.

Wow the outside looks run down but once we entered the room wow beautiful and beautiful colourful and beautiful. The location is super and near the bus station. Walking distance to the city center. Bulgaria is a very safe country and deep in history. Sophia City center is a must to visit.

First night we had very good and deep sleep. 2nd night was very very bad. The room next door was very noisy and talked through up to 2am. We could hear the conversation. The receptionist helped but he wouldn't bother. We had to change the sleep to another room occupied by our daughter. The owner should fix the acoustics. It was bad. The room has no kettle and cups and tea or coffee for the guests.

We stayed for only one night as we needed accommodation for an unavoidable layover. The hotel is close to both the central train and the central bus station which was the reason for choosing it apart from the price. That being said, we still easily walked into the center and some sights we managed to see in the short time in Sofia within 20 minutes. There isn't much in the immediate neighborhood but as said, the next supermarket is still only 7 minutes walk away. The receptionist who was on duty when we arrived was very friendly and accommodating. She immediately opened the luggage room without asking, as the rooms hadn't been ready, yet, and offered us breakfast packages when we told her that we had to leave earlier than initially planned. The rooms were great and the hotel managed to offer us rooms as close to each other as possible. One thing that was a bit of a dampener, though: The night shift guy who was supposed to hand over our breakfast packages and some coffee for the thermos mug was late and seemed somewhat confused, so we ended up later at our next transport than we had wished for and with no coffee but we took that as a funny episode.

Location is very convenient as it's only a short walk to the bus and train stations. Nice quiet side street.

Breakfast is no longer served in the hotel itself and we had to walk to a different hotel around the corner where the food was not as good as I had remembered from past visits to Favorit Hotel.

The best thing is the big screen in the room. Most of the hotel gives a 32-40" tv while here it was a very big screen (I assume 55" but didn't measure). The place is in a great location, 5 minutes walk from Vitusha main street.

The breakfast could have a bit more varaiaty. I was mainly missing some Spreadable cheese as only hard cheese was available. But all and all I had a full and tasty breakfast.

The staff was helpful and nice, good, clean, big rooms, breakfast was good, it's just 1 minute walk in a different hotel.

There was an air conditioner that didn't work in our room, but I believe that if we would say something, they would take care of it.

The staff were helpful and reception was open 24 hrs. The room was clean spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel was very close to the intercity bus station. There was baggage storage available.

The breakfast was served at a sister hotel around the corner- which was not a problem, but it was not very good and the staff unhelpful.

We were given a suite. Despite the stains on the carpet, we felt very comfortable in the two rooms each with a tv and a closet. The views from the two balconies were fantastic. The extra large sofa bed couch could seat 4 adults. The windows and doors were double panes glass. The shower in the bathtub was nice. The welcome packet was very detailed. There was also a kettle. There were 2 grocery stores within walking distance and and one could walk to the city center to participate in the Free City Walkable Tours.

The elevator was small. The carpet was dreadfully stained. We found an ant trail and an earwig plus the the area behind the heavy couch and under the couch pillows were not very clean. The hotel does not have its own breakfast so you must walk down the street to a sister hotel. Investing in tile or laminate flooring would really upgrade the rooms.

Good location. Easy to get to by Metro. Comfortable beds, good showers. Breakfast was good - its in a building just round the corner, but easy to get to. Not really an inconvenience.

Coffee making facilities in room was missing the kettle when we arrived. But they supplied one when we asked for it.
