I really liked the very friendly concierge who booked us a table at his family’s restaurant, which was wonderful. Fabulous food for someone who cannot eat in a lot of restaurants due to dietary restrictions at the family’s restaurant. The fresh air in the very clean room and the room was very nice. Some rooms have balconies with very nice views, which are even nicer. I also liked that I could park in the garage below (for a fee though) and have a lift bring the suitcases straight up to the floor of the room. That was very handy. Reception was very friendly and helpful. I travelled all across Europe and this was my favourite place so far! And Rothenburg is just so cute, especially with the Christmas Markets. The Altes Brauhaus is a great place to stay at. Highly recommend it and I will be sending friends that way! The location was great and close to everything. Will go back for sure. Breakfast was excellent and my dietary needs were honoured and met.

The bed was too hard for my preference and it would be nice if they had toppers for guests who require a bit softer bed due to pain. Also, the floor in the hallway dipped down a bit- probably due to renovations or additions and I kept tripping every time. Not a real problem, but it would be nice if the dips could be marked a bit, because I never saw the dip when I walked to my room. (111) Not really a big deal, but food for thought when you have guests who are mobility impaired or have vision problems. It was hard to see the dip in the carpet that looked like hardwood flooring. Just a minor thing. My friend struggled with the shower- maybe instructions for guests not from Europe on how to use the shower without flooding the whole bathroom would be great?

Had a lovely spacious room with balcony and view. Breakfast is absolutely fantastic. The breakfast room is airy, calming, and beautiful. The offering at breakfast is very broad. Food and drinks were excellent. We stayed two nights and each day the breakfast was so substantial that we didn't eat again until our evening meal. Breakfast staff were lovely too. Room had a fridge, coffee machine and kettle. There was also a complimentary bottle of water. Rooms aren't air-conditioned, but there was a powerful electric mobile fan. There are several great hotels in Rothenburg, but I don't think I could be tempted to try them. I'd just be comparing them to the Altes Brauhaus, and I just know they'd be found wanting.

Rooms were exceptional great, spacious and with an amazing view from the roof top. Location was also good, not in the middle of the city center but in a quieter street, but only a few minutes away to the main street. Breakfast was ok.

A staff from the breakfast room was staring at every guest to prevent anyone packing the leftover away. Even though the breakfast was included in the room price, there was an extra charge for the take-aways (15 euros). This made people think that the hotel is cheap. The food that the guests couldn't finish would be thrown away anyways....

The breakfast was amazing. Served in a beautiful big space with arches and great atmosphere. Super food, something for everyone. fresh and appetizing. A pot of coffee on each table. Very good service. The rooms where large with a homy feeling and we had our own little outside terrace. Perfect for parents who would like to enjoy a drink in the evening after a long day of sight seeing, while the kids are watching a film. The location couldnt have been better, and the architecture of the hotell is very charming, with a maze of connective hallways on the inside and a colorful fortress on the outside.

Not much. We where a little hot, but in the morning we noticed there was an airconditioner we could have turned on. So that is our fault. Other wise all was very good. Great that we had parking in the basement. very convenient.

We were able to leave our bags and park our car earlier than check in time. The hostess was so nice to offer the children extra candy. There was a small pay area with toys for kids. The rooms were spacious, clean, and bright. Beds were mostly comfortable! Breakfast was great! At the end when we left the hotel at check out we were able to keep car parked for extra hour+ and finally before we left they called and left a note on the car that our daughter had left a valuable item in the room! So thankful for that attention to detail!!

The windows do not have screens ans they didn’t offer an extra fan for a large room.

The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect. In a quiet road, literally just around the corner from the Plonlein. It has a safe, spacious car park just a 2 minutes walk from the door. The hotel is very well maintained and the staff are excellent. Friendly, efficient, and helpful. The breakfast staff were lovely, and the breakfast room was stunning. You can't go wrong with this hotel. Lots of comfortable seating areas and an outdoor terrace. The little bags of sweets on the bed and on the reception desk are a nice touch. But the best thing is that you're right in the heart of Rothenburg without being in the hustle and bustle of things. Don't miss Rothenburg on your tour. It is simply stunning. You won't see a prettier town anywhere. Lots to see, and a walk on the town walls is a must.

The parking was fantastic. Easy to find, especially if you’re comfortable driving in small European towns. Simple check in, large rooms, perfectly clean, lovely view. Our rooms had refrigerators and a small bottle of water. Wonderful breakfast!

The hotel completely shuts down at night. I think this is a wasted opportunity with the large fest hall and space in the facility. They could easily have a profitable dinner option, or at a minimum, a small bar menu with a bartender. The alcohol vending machine is a nice idea but didn’t function. We saw many people sitting in the seating areas in the evening, but with snacks and drinks they had to bring from outside.

Overlooking the peacefull village surroundings it became my personal haven where I could unwind, enjoy a cup of coffee, and soak in the heavenly atmosphere. The room's design and furnishings only added to the overall sense of comfort and style. The hotel staff, without a doubt, were the real stars of the show. From the moment we checked in to the time of our departure, their friendliness and professionalism were truly commendable. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was seamless. In conclusion, our time at Hotel Altes Brauhaus garni was a wonderful blend of comfort, hospitality, and an unbeatable location. If you're looking for a hotel that combines the charm of the town with a welcoming atmosphere, this is the place for you. I wholeheartedly recommend it and eagerly anticipate my next visit.

Everything! The rooms were squeaky clean as was everything in the hotel. Breakfast was exceptional, and we particularly loved the rich assortment of breads. Location was great: very close to the town center but just far enough away to be very quiet. I would be delighted to stay there again and hope they have availability next time I travel to Rothenburg. Staff were friendly and very helpful - especially on my last morning when I had tech problems and needed urgently to print out train tickets. This place has been lovingly and expertly renovated and is a topnotch facility.

Fantastic breakfast, lots of choices. Location in the centre of the old town. Very nice and well equiped familie room with a modern kitchen, big fridge, electric cooker, oven, hot water cooker and everything else you might need (except a micro wave, which would be handy!). Nice big bathroom with an excellent shower as wll as a big bath.
