Phenomenal hotel in the historic district of Braga, very close to many shops, places to see, and restaurants. We had a two level suite with a king bed, living room / sitting area, and two bathrooms - all very clean with nice decor! We stayed 5 nights and chose a rate that included breakfast each day. The food was amazing! Many choices and they were very accommodating to our changing schedule. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special and we applaud their efforts and wish them all well in the future. We'd definitely stay here again if we have the chance to come back to Braga!

The staff are friendly and helpful, The rooms are small but clean and we have the city View, nothing much to see really other than the roof and the street, The cathedral is nearby 10 minutes walk, The square and the old town are about 20 minutes walk, The parking is $_€10.00 and got so lucky to park in the front of the hotel , breakfast is ala carte you bar to check the food you want to eat and they’ll prepare it to you in the time you scheduled it for. the hotel is easy to find. The WiFi is average.

Nothing really that we don’t like we only spent and overnight, we ate dinner, slept, shower, ate breakfast and left.

Staff was incredible. They knew who I was when I walked in and let us check in exceptionally early. Parking was available right outside the hotel door, where they put cones to reserve places for guests (for 10 euros / day). Various staff at the front desk helped with dinner reservations, making me a drink at the bar, taking our breakfast reservation, etc. Breakfast was ready when we came down at our scheduled time the next morning and served flawlessly. Room 3 was lovely - we had 3 of us (all family) so we got the suite that provided 2 beds and 2 baths, one upstairs in a loft and one downstairs. Check-in and out was a breeze, I will definitely be staying here next time I return to Braga!

Honestly our stay, while just 1 night, was perfect.

Burgus hotel is a gem. The staff is great, always with a smile. The location is superb, right in the middle of Braga. The breakfast is excellent and served at the table at the time you requested in advance. The personell takes care of the details and are helpful. The rooms are great - and many with a nice view of the city roofs including the Cathedral’s towers. In short, a great hotel. Highly recommended.

The hotel was immaculately presented, it was in a good position. A short walk to the centre and about a 10 minute walk to the railway station on a straight route so easy to find. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was good and the bathroom was big.The breakfast was excellent and we liked the fact that we chose what we wanted the night before so that there was no waste and everything that we ordered was delivered to our table upon arrival. We would stay here again.

Nothing really except there were very steep steps down to one of the windows which may be a problem for some. It was fine for us though.

Great position within the historic centre. There are plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants within minutes of the hotel. Breakfast was great value and delicious. Staff were very friendly and efficient. We booked a car space outside of the hotel, which was very convenient, but there were a few paid parking garages within 10 min walk of the hotel. There was a Roman festival happening when we were in town, which meant crowds of people, but with the windows closed, it was very quiet.

Not much, fortunately and unfortunately for us, the Roman festival attracted every man and his dog to the historic centre. So it was extremely crowded, but on the upside, the festival, including the Roman parade, was fantastic. The streets were full of people in costumes, markets, music, food stalls, and a fantastic atmosphere.

The location was excellent and the staff was fantastic. The room was nice. We ended up with a suite because that was all that was available,but since the living room and second bathroom were up a flight of stairs, and required a se ins room key to activate the lights, we didn’t use it much. also, there is construction next door which wasn’t great in terms of view. We only heard them drilling when we arrived and in the end, it didn’t bother us that much. The location, on a quiet street with nice cafes and restaurants but close to sites made it worth it.

There is construction next door. It’s not terrible, but in on aisle g with how nice everything else was about staying there.

Our second stay here and so happy that we decided to return. Leonel, the charming and helpful receptionist, gave us the warmest of welcomes. There were a couple of small issues with the first room but Leonel sorted everything will little fuss and infact moved us to a lovely light and bright room. Very comfortable and we slept very well. Breakfast choices are made the day before and there was plenty on the menu that were to our taste. Both mornings we had a very enjoyable breakfast, good presentation and flavours. The location of the hotel is perfect, easy walkable to many of the sights and on a street with good cafes, bars and restaurants. We shall definitely return, hopefully next year and bring friends with us. A big thank you to Leonel for making sure we had such an excellent experience. He is a great ambassador with very high levels of customer service.

The location, the room cleanliness, and the overall services of the hotel were perfect.

The booking.com gives a false expectation of the availability of the hotel's "private parking." Considering the city's central location, that was one of the factors in staying in this hotel. However, it turned out that a 2-cars parking bay in front of the hotel should also be booked in advance. Upon arrival, the parking was e real challenge. However, the next day the friendly staff secured the parking in front of the hotel for the required period. I mean, they do what they can, which is much appreciated.
